Lamont made me very happy. My water heater had leaked a big mess in my garage. I called and…read moreexplained that I had just had surgery and my son was there but would be going home son. They called early in the morning and left a message that they could Send someone that day. They were there before noon. Replaced the water heater, practically cleaned my garage, and hauled off the old one. Cost about 2K less than the quote from Lowes and a lot less add one. Thanks, Lamont. Great employees, Joel and Ashton(?).

While they were prompt in their service of my hot water heater, the price they charge is…read moreunreasonably excessive. I was charged $135 to have them come out for 10 minutes to tell me what I already knew (it will need to be replaced). Then it's a "flat rate" of $950 on top of that for 1 hour's worth of work to replace the heater. They were unable to tell me the model of the heater before it was installed so I could compare prices. And forget about tankless installs. No one there knows how to do that (a direct quote from the plumbers who came out). For anyone who needs to replace a hot water heater ASAP, go to Home Depot or Lowe's first and buy it yourself. They go for $400-$500 and take about an hour to swap, probably less. So let's see...$500 for a heater plus 1 hour worth of labor at their price ($135 per hour) adds up to around $635. I would have been very happy to pay this amount as it is reasonable. Paying almost $1100 to have it swapped is totally absurd. Voicing my concern with several employees there was met with the typical apathetic response "well, that's just what it is". The owner claimed this charge was reasonable. Sure it's easy to gouge customers all day & claim it's reasonable when you're the one raking it in. Finally after the heater was installed, I had asked what happens to the old heater. I was told I could just leave it at the curb and it'll get picked up. So after the plumber packed up & left, I was stuck with my old heater sitting in my driveway. There was no offer to even help me get it to my curb. He was very busy that day and apparently couldn't be bothered to assist. Talk about kicking someone while they're down...thanks guys! Real professional and courteous! I learned a very valuable lesson from this experience, and I'll make sure my friends and neighbors know who not to call moving forward.

I have had to have these guys out two times so far this year (two completely separate issues) and…read moreboth times they were TOPS! They got here fast, fixed the leak, and charged me a reasonable rate. Look, nobody wants to call the plumber, but if you do have to have some work done get these guys to do it. Horrible Horrible Horrible!! This company came to fix a garden tub faucet and did not know the name…read moreof the part I needed to order, so he could fix. I asked him to take a picture of the part, as it was under my bathroom cabinet and I could not see or access it. Man kept looking at his phone to check the time and complained about the time he had already spent assessing my tub and made angry gestures about helping get me a picture. I called his the owner, Jason, while Keith was still here and he siad he would try to figure out what the part was. I decided to order a whole new deck to cover any and all pieces. Jason said for me to get the piece and that he would have someone come back and fix it for no charge, as I had already paid one warranty fee. Said he would call me back the next morning to get me scheduled. Never heard fom him. Called him a couple days later and said he was on a demo job but may come by that afternoon but if not, then definitely on Monday (3 days later). Keith came back and said he could't repair because it was too much work and warranty denied my initial claim. Now all of a sudden there is a leak under my tub.. While he was here, his boss was on line. I asked him why in the world he can't fix and he told me he "I thought you needed a sink faucet repaired!!! WTH!!! I told them both they were not on my level and kicked Keith out the house!! Do not call these people. They do not carefully asess the issue. Instead, they want you to diagnose the problem and know your plumbing parts.

These guys must work on commissions because they told us that we needed a whole new water heater…read moreeven thought the one we have is only 3 years old. and because it is gas and we were told by the gas company we needed a new valve we were a little skeptical. They kept trying to sell us a new waterless water heater and said the price was over $5000.00. Also said we needed a whole new vent and drain. We called another plumber and he came out and said the valve was all it needed. These guys are real shysters. Do Not use Them. They are horrible!

Starting with the good, when we called to set up an appointment the customer service lady was…read moreextremely professional. We immediately received an appointment reminder via text and received an email confirmation so everything was off to a great start. A few days later a tech arrived (out of respect for him will not share his name) and he looked at the job. He wasn't sure if a 1/2" gas supply line was big enough to feed our gas cooktop so he had to make a few calls until he reached another tech who could answer his question. (The previous plumber said it would be no problem). The fact that he was not knowledgeable was a red flag. His bid came in $400 higher than a previous plumber's bid (another red flag) so we asked if he could get closer to the price. He said it would take about 2 - 3 hours of work which seemed pricey at approximately $500/hour but we agreed to move forward because the other plumber was backed up for 3 weeks. Before he left our home he had me sign his ipad and our appointment was in the books. We received several text and email confirmations and all was good. A week later we received our appointment reminder and it confirmed we had an 8am installation appointment and we were all ready to go. No Phone Call, no email and no text until 3pm. I saw the van pull into our driveway and then it left. I called the scheduling number saved in my text history and they said he was running late and would be back shortly. After 10-15 minutes he arrived and said he had many jobs going on and had another customer who was upset. He looked at the gas line location and then we went into the attic. I had to show him where the hood vent was in the attic so he could have a reference of where the gas line drop would be. We went back into the attic and he walked the wrong direction so I had to show him where the entry point would be. He said "this is more work than I bid" and he said it would cost more. At this point I had seen enough red flags and let him know that I would not be needing his services. I have never experienced such bad service from a tradesman. This company does an excellent job scheduling and uses state of the art software but it comes at an extremely high price tag. Additionally, the plumber was incompetent, didn't arrive on time, didn't properly bid the job and tried to raise the price after a week of waiting. If you are looking for a qualified plumber use good ol fashion word of mouth, Big State should be investing more in the quality of their plumbers & basic customer service then their scheduling system.
