The tech did a wonderful job, so much so i will request him for future work. There is an issue with communication between the office and the tech that requires follow-up. The upstairs filter ordered for the job was not picked up for the job and the softstart data i brought in was not passed on. We had to reschedule until this was addressed. read more

We have used Colley Refrigeration for a few years and have been satisfied. They are on time and do a thorough job.

Called for repair - waited 2 1/2 days for tech to come. He came out inspected the unit, did some checks and closed it back up; went inside, looked over the heating equipment - charged $125 and did nothing. Bottomline: he was incompetent - didn't have a clue on how to repair the unit, said it was junk and wanted to sell me a new one for $8,000. Two days later had another company's tech come inspected the system - found the issue 10 minutes after opening the unit - changed the part, replaced the capacitor and thermostat so everything would be updated - unit running fine now.. Cost what Colley man wanted to replace the capacitor. Colley did a complete system check up 2021and reported system was in good working order. Nothing negative.. If they tell you it is a weak capacitor - beware ; they did that on me twice - first one back in 2019 - changed it myself savings of $250; this time same thing - the 3 1/3 year old capacitor he stated was weak cost $350 to replace. Second tech checked it and said was fine. At the time the inside temps were 95° for 10 days. In my opinion, Colley Refrigeration is irresponsible, unethical, the boss cursed me out, their techs are under qualified. Would NEVER recommend them... read more

They came to clean the ducts. The guys were great, very professional and friendly. Everything was cleaned up before they left. They had to work around our schedule, did an awesome job at that. We called them regarding our mini split system that would give an error code when we tried to get it to heat. They knew the type of system we had and the error code we were getting BEFORE they came out. The technician got there and said he didn't have knowledge of the system (so why send this person??!!) He proceeded to poke around a little and then tell us he couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work and to find someone else. But of course they charged us for the visit-that they knew up front they couldn't handle. I think it's very bad business-if you know you don't have knowledge of a product DON'T TAKE THE JOB and charge someone for work you know you aren't capable of handling. read more

The pictures below explain it all. First off, I called this company out to find out what was wrong. After a quick inspection, he said it needed to be leveled. That's it. Left and we haven't heard back with an update of when that was gonna happen. $49.95 later.... I called a different company out and the first thing he said was he couldn't check what he needs to check because the test part had been melted and my unit had burn marks where it has been overheating. Colley came out less than a week ago, you can't tell me this damage happened within this time frame. Now $700 later... a different company... my A/C is fixed. It would have been cheaper if the tech at Colley had known what he was doing from the start. Called Colley to explain the problem, he said the damage was caused within the time frame when his tech left (less than a week ago to today) Refused to give us our $49.95 maintenance fee back and was not helpful. Colley Refrigeration will charge you a $99 Service Fee for a simple quote. This is not industry standard as I have already had a handful of HVAC companies come out to my house to quote a new unit. My wife and I were well aware that when we purchased our home in April that we would need a new HVAC system. It is 10+ years old and fails to keep up. I called Colley Tuesday, July 5th. I told them what was going on and requested that they provide quotes for a new system. To Colley's credit, the two guys that showed up were very kind and respectful. After a simple 10-minute inspection of the current system, they presented me with the quote of a new system that I originally requested along with a bill for $99. Had they actually performed any work to fix the system and added a service fee to the bill, I could understand this. However, I knew the system was too old and beyond repair and informed the lady who fielded my original call of this. I called back today, July 6th, to ask if it was normal to receive a bill for a quote of a new system. I was informed that it was not. After a brief hold, they played a game of semantics and refused to make it right. read more

I will never use this company again. I called them out to check and service the AC because the unit was making noise. Tech charged me a service fee but clearly never check anything, as the fan on the unit went out six days later. I had to call out a different company to fix the AC. The first thing the new tech asked "was why didn't you call us sooner, we could have fixed this for cheaper if you called us when it started making noise." I told him I just had an AC company out to service and check the AC. He told me they must not be very good as the fan motor on this unit has been failing for an extended amount of time. The fan motor, the compassator, and one of the boards we all burned out by the fan motor failing. The unit was melted and had burn marks on the side where the testing is done. When I called the company to complain they told me I don't really care what you do but we are not even going to refund your service charge. read more
