I went to Doctor Book as a last ditch effort for some relief, and after a few sessions of their PEMF machine I began to feel better for the first time in three years. I used to take a month off off all high-impact activity after my soccer season only to feel pain again my thrid or fourth practice back. This past winter however, aftering coming in consistantly twice a week for about a month, it took me two months of soccer 5-times a week, and weight lifting twice a week to feel any discomfort, without any upkeep on PEMF since I go to college out-of-state. Everyone that works there is increadibly kind, friendly, helpful, dedicated, and warm. This facility is owned by a family and I always feel better after having visited with them, recieving my therapy. I've had ultrasounds on my knees, ice packs, we do exercises and they also massage my knees, and bend my knees to help with my flexibility. Then, two appointments showed up on my schedule that I never personally scheduled or agreed to -- and when I didn't show up, I was charged two $50 "no-show" fees. Just to be clear, this had happened previously with an appointment I missed legitimately, and I had no issue paying the fee. When I questioned it, the explanation was basically: once they put something on the schedule, it's considered confirmed unless you cancel, and reminder texts count as confirmation. I asked for proof that I actually scheduled those visits, but what I got back were policy copies and reminder screenshots with nothing showing that I ever agreed to those dates. They refused to waive the fees. So my takeaway for future patients: watch your schedule closely and get clear confirmation of what you've actually agreed to, because Brostrom WILL do whatever they can to extort you for those fees. And if you have a problem with it, they will let you know by sending you to collections over the no-show fee.
