I went to Doctor Book as a last ditch effort for some relief, and after a few sessions of their PEMF machine I began to feel better for the first time in three years. I used to take a month off off all high-impact activity after my soccer season only to feel pain again my thrid or fourth practice back. This past winter however, aftering coming in consistantly twice a week for about a month, it took me two months of soccer 5-times a week, and weight lifting twice a week to feel any discomfort, without any upkeep on PEMF since I go to college out-of-state. When I called Dr. Ahern's office he simply said let me check you out and lets get rid of the pain. Dr. Ahern took me right away. He sat me down and explained what was going on with my nerve and how it affected my back. X-rays were taken to show me what was going on and what we could do to correct/lessen the pain. I'm not going to lie to you I was scared. He said that he would be manipulating my back to it's correct position. It only hurt because I was already in pain. I did take some pain relief that night and also iced my back. Before leaving, Dr. Ahern gave me his cell phone in case I need to talk to him. The next day I felt considerably better. His receptionist, called me when I got home to check on me. A day later I was back for a follow up and again I got re-positioned. There was less pain than the day before. I'm very grateful for Dr. Ahern. If you're in Milford or the surrounding area and you have a problem with your back I highly recommend Dr. Ahern. He has a friendly staff, clean facility and is very knowledgeable about issues with the back.

The practice is in a standalone building off of Milford Road which is very clean and decorated nicely, with cute canvas pictures of his kids. His receptionist Denise is super, they even have a masseuse available. Dr Dan, ( that's what I call him) is very personable and makes you feel very comfortable. He's excellent at what he does! he's a family man and is an asset to Highland. Because I had an existing well-known established chiropractor that I had been seeing for 25+ years, who is absolutely fabulous, I walked into this place very skeptical with all the guards up and thinking there's nothing this new place would be able to give me. But when I say walked, I really meant shuffled and stumbled because I was bent over in so much pain with every step. Without going into detail about my condition, I was depleted, in tears and easily agitated because of the nerve pain that I was experiencing. But when I walked out, I was eternally grateful for Dr. Adam and his team. Not only was everyone so professional and pleasant and the place was super clean. But what really stood out was the 1-1 interaction with Dr Adam and especially with Taylor, his assistant, with her empathy and support I felt seen which is important when you're already in a vulnerable state. Moreover, the quality of the care that I received was so exceptional that when I walked out of their office all I can say is I felt like I had a new body.
