I went to Brostrom Physical Therapy and ran into a frustrating billing issue. Every appointment I'd had was always scheduled one-by-one. Then, two appointments showed up on my schedule that I never personally scheduled or agreed to -- and when I didn't show up, I was charged two $50 "no-show" fees. Just to be clear, this had happened previously with an appointment I missed legitimately, and I had no issue paying the fee. When I questioned it, the explanation was basically: once they put something on the schedule, it's considered confirmed unless you cancel, and reminder texts count as confirmation. I asked for proof that I actually scheduled those visits, but what I got back were policy copies and reminder screenshots with nothing showing that I ever agreed to those dates. They refused to waive the fees. So my takeaway for future patients: watch your schedule closely and get clear confirmation of what you've actually agreed to, because Brostrom WILL do whatever they can to extort you for those fees. And if you have a problem with it, they will let you know by sending you to collections over the no-show fee. read more

My recent experience with Bronstrom Physical Therapy was more than a five star experience. The office staff was helpful setting up my appointments, completing paperwork and reviewing my insurance coverage. My physical therapists helped me determine my goals for the therapy, explained all of my exercises and showed me the correct way to do them. I felt that every person that I interacted with showed me courtesy, care and concern for my wellbeing. I selected Brostrom Physical Therapy because they are not a large corporate company. OMG! These people are so Awesome! They make you feel comfortable right away soon as you walk in the door! And their therapists are beyond they are just so, what's the word, Nice! to you. This has to be the best physical therapy place not just in South Lyon! They also have these really cool extra services, like massages. But their masseuses are very very good. They know exactly what they're doing as well. Put it this way when you're done with your therapy with them, you are well. You can go back to living your life, normally! Just finished therapy for my shoulder, when I started I couldn't sleep on it or hardly use my arm for the pain, but I had two of the best and nicest therapist anyone good ask for, with their care and guidance I am so much better, if ever I need therapy I will go back to Brostrom physical therapy in South Lyon, Michigan. They know their stuff they are clean and friendly and the hours can accommodate anyone. read more

Went to see a specific therapist as per recommendation and by my doctor. They weren't able to get me in with him and when I was finally able to get an appointment with him they switched me to another doctor without informing or asking me. Super expensive and all they did was show me how to do 5 basic stretches and tell me to do them x amount of times and then they would leave the room until my appointment was over. They have very little equipment and would hand me a sheet of the stretches printed out at the end of my 30 minute "session" save yourself thousands of dollars and go somewhere else- or better yet google "back stretches" read more

Can't say enough good things about this place. I've had PT sessions with all four therapists, and all four were extremely friendly and well-qualified. The same can be said for the assistants and front office staff. I had a good impression before I even walked in the place, because I received a call after making my first appointment that my insurance was not going to cover as much as they would if I went to an "in-network" facility. I'm guessing that most places would have just let me discover that on my own after the bills came in. Luckily, I decided to pay a little more out-of-pocket and stick with Brostrom since I had heard such good things about it (from my wife). read more

I don't know if i have ever felt so welcome as i did at Brostrom Physical therapy! From the moment i called, they were able to get me in right away. The front office girls helped me to get my script from my doctors office, spent the time to go through my insurance coverage, and scheduled me at times that were convenient for me. (i work 45 minutes from South Lyon and they were willing to see me at 7 pm!) I first met with Matt. He was extremely thorough with his examination of my Back. His Compassion he showed made me feel very comfortable. By the time i left i already felt better and confident that there was hope to being pain free. (also, that electric tingly machine and heating pad hit the spot!) During my time in therapy i also worked with Corey. His exercises and strengthening did wonders for me. I made the choice to stay between Matt and Corey as i liked that they treated me each a little differently. I worked with Matt twice a week and Corey once. I was almost disappointed to be done with my therapy. I enjoyed going in and seeing everyone. But, i left being able to move around pain free and with the knowledge to keep myself strong. Both Matt and Corey really saved me. They were my last resort before surgery. When i was discharged i had a good collection of exercises to do at home and the access to be in touch with both of them at any point if i have issues. If i ever need to have therapy again, there is no doubt i would return. I plan to recommend them to everyone i know! read more
