First the backstory: We put a small room addition on our home 20 years ago. The room addition was built on a 4' crawl space foundation, while the older main house it butted up to had an 8' standard basement foundation. Over the years with the freeze/thaw in the ground, compounded by the dryness in recent years which shrinks the soil, the room addition was sinking ever so slightly at the end farthest from the main house ... 20 feet away. Sum and substance, the far end of the dining room had sunk about 1" causing it to pull away slightly from the main house at the roof line. We got five quotes to repair what had happened. Acculevel did the work to earn the job. The field agent for Acculevel (Dan) was excellent; he took his time and really went over the room addition in detail. He agreed with what the problem was and proposed a series of six helical piers on the exterior to stabilize the room and possibly lift it back up. His analysis was so thorough that he also found a foundation crack inside the crawl space that needed repair. Only one of the other firms that quoted on the job went to the effort Dan did. We decided to go with Acculevel. Acculevel was willing to negotiate some of the language on the contract, and this made it fair to both parties. They originally wanted 50% down, but since the job wasn't to be done until six months later in the Spring and they only needed to do permit work and an engineering report, we agreed to 25% down ... with the other 25% when we received a copy of the permit and engineering report. Very reasonable by all parties. Hint: Always read the contract ... because what's in there is for you and them. When the day came to do the job, the two employees they sent out ... Ricardo and Orlando ... were also tip-top. They worked hard and long hours, hand dug all the pits for the piers, set the piers in place and called it a day ... it was a 10-hour day not counting their travel time. The second day they screwed the piers into the ground (a couple were screwed in 17'), mounted the foundation brackets (essentially large heavy duty "L"-shaped brackets), and used bottle jacks to ratchet the brackets up firmly against the footing. After jacking the room up almost back to perfect, they back-filled, tamped, and replaced all the landscaping that had been disturbed. In the end, the room was stabilized and lifted back up to approximately where it had been before sinking. We did not see any wallboard cracks in the interior of the room, which is a small risk you run when you jack the room back up. As the contract stated, the work performed was warranted to stabilize the room, but not guaranteed to lift it back up. We were very happy with how it turned out. If we had to nit-pick anything, it would be dealing with the home office back in Rossville, Indiana. They are often hard to get a hold of ... you end up leaving messages and hoping for a return call. Acculevel serves six or so states and have been growing very fast, so they get some slack in this area. But we were so satisfied with the work and the result ... especially the field agent Dan and the workers Ricardo and Orlando ... we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. read more

I would give zero stars if that were an option. I genuinely don't feel this company deserves even one. They completed work at my home three months ago, and almost immediately issues started coming up. I asked them to come back out to re-evaluate, and when they finally did, that visit went poorly and clearly needs to be redone. Since then, more than two months have passed with absolutely no effort on their part to correct the situation. Meanwhile, the problem has only continued to get worse. I have reached out repeatedly trying to get back on the schedule, and I've been met with delays, excuses, and empty promises. It's beyond frustrating at this point. What makes this even more upsetting is that I paid top dollar specifically because I wanted the job done correctly the first time. Instead, I'm left with worsening issues and zero accountability. Scott keeps saying he's "reaching out," but nothing ever actually happens. I'm exhausted from chasing a company I already paid. This experience has been incredibly disappointing and completely unacceptable. read more

i'd give them negative stars if I could. Absolutely horrible experience with Accu level. Asked sales rep if they could install fresh insulation board in my crawlspace, and I was told yes then I was given misinformation about the drainage pop-ups could be placed. I also asked if they would be of the high spots in my crawlspace. I was also told yes. They lied because they do not in fact foam board so I removed about $2000 worth of my own insulation for nothing. The installers were given no notes about where I wanted. My drains placed so that never got fixed. Then I was told from a different installer that Not only do they not offer insulation, but they also generally do not re-grade your crawlspace. Presently the tape they seal is coming up in places and I have water coming up over their vapor barrier, sloppy workmanship, and complete misinformation. And so far they're willing to do nothing. Apparently, it's time to contact an attorney. read more

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the abysmal communication, negligent workmanship, and deceptive practices I have experienced with Acculevel regarding my property located at [Insert Property Address, Illinois].As a military spouse currently stationed in Hawaii, I specifically sought out a contractor capable of professional remote project coordination. Instead, over the course of nearly two years, I have been subjected to high-pressure up-selling, false statements regarding municipal permits, incomplete installations that left my property vulnerable, and systemic ghosting by your staff. The expensive drain tile system you sold me completely failed to address the root cause of the water intrusion, which your own contractors have now recently admitted. Below is the documented timeline of your company's failure to deliver on its contractual obligations:The 2024 Botched Installation & Deceptive Practices:May 2024 (High-Pressure Sales): Your representative, Jerrell, aggressively pushed a $5,800 "special" if I used your finance company, claiming it was a "special that was given to us today". The total quotes presented fluctuated up to $6,900 for tying into existing tile. I trusted your team's assessment that this expensive system was the necessary solution. June 2024 (Permit Misrepresentation): While my basement actively flooded for weeks, Jerrell sent me unprofessional messages telling me that "it's not gonna hurry things up if you keep calling the office". He repeatedly blamed Will County for dragging their feet on Permit #2401340. However, when I proactively contacted the permit department myself to advocate for my home, the county informed me that they were actually waiting on Acculevel to update the scope of work. June 17-18, 2024 (Property Negligence): During the installation, your crew shut off the gas. They finished the job and left the property at 2:30 PM without notifying me. Even worse, they improperly removed the property's lockbox, meaning I could not grant access to anyone to safely turn the gas back on for my tenants. When I contacted Jerrell about this urgent safety and access issue, he dismissed me, stating, "We are at our big sales rally. I will be following up.". July 5, 2024 (Immediate Failure): Barely two weeks after installation, I sent Jerrell photographic proof that water was pooling in the exact same spot I originally reported. The July 2024 Refusal to Remediate:July 9 - 10, 2024: Following the July 5th failure, I raised concerns with Brenna regarding the poor inspection quality. Jackson was dispatched on July 10. Despite me showing him the water intruding from floor cracks in front of the HVAC, he insisted the HVAC was the issue and refused to act because there was standing water. I offered to coordinate a clean-up to coincide with his return visit. Instead of collaborating, he escalated to a manager and told me I had to speak with Ryan (Service Manager).July 10 & 16, 2024: Ryan (888-957-0215 / 866-950-0128) stated he would check if a drain tile would resolve the issue and promised to send an inspector out. No one ever called to schedule this.July 22, 2024: Braxton eventually came out and suggested installing drain tile "fingers." Acculevel continued to push expensive drain tile systems rather than doing due diligence to seal the obvious floor cracks where the water was visibly intruding. The 2026 Discovery of Incomplete Work:Spring 2026: Upon physically returning to the Illinois property, I discovered the drain tile installation I paid for was inexplicably separated. Your contractor created a drain tile along one wall running to one sump pump, and a separate, completely unconnected drain tile on the other side of a concrete wall running to a different pump. Water is still coming up around this wall.Recent Visit (Coy): Coy came out to inspect the ongoing issue. He completed his inspection, left the property without notifying me, and failed to call. Two days later, he texted me validating my original 2024 assessment, stating: "the other places are going to need some epoxy patching where the cracks are to seal it up so that water doesn't come through there."Ongoing Ghosting: Coy promised to send a quote for this patching--the cheapest, most logical step that Acculevel previously ignored. He never sent it. I have since called the main office repeatedly. A representative named Jody left me a single voicemail. I have called her direct line and the main office repeatedly, leaving multiple voicemails. No one has returned my calls.Acculevel has taken my money through high-pressure sales tactics, lied about permit delays, neglected my property's security (lockbox removal), installed a disconnected and ineffective drain system, ignored the actual source of the leak, and is now actively ghosting my calls.Demand for Resolution:I expect a call from a regional manager or corporate supervisor within three (3) business days of this letter to outline a remediation plan. read more

I'm so so sorry that we hired this company to install a sump pump pit and geotrack in our crawlspace in Ohio for around $9,500. We signed a contract in Dec 2025 and it is now March 2026. It's a company that leaves you feeling like your talking to a wall when there is water in the crawlspace! The system made our water problems *worse* because they drilled weep holes that let water in faster than it exits. I was a giant pest and demanded communication in writing so after every visit, the complaining started the day that they left. It was like pulling teeth to know who in the company addressed issues. After two rounds of inspections and no real fixes, I started the steps to get our money back which is 1) Demand letter 2) forensic engineering report, and then 3) arbitration. Once a certified letter made it to their president, a crew of 7 came to perform fixes. For the first time, an expert was there who made them remove everything and start over. A whole new system is going in and I'll be eager to see if it works with the next rain. They added an additional sump pump well. I don't want to be in a lawsuit. I want to be ripped off even less. It's 10pm on Sunday night and they think they'll be done at 10:30pm. I want to go to be after getting up at 7:30am to meet them. How can they not be exhausted and not want to take short cuts? I recently saw an article that the company recently expanded to Ohio. Most of their employees are in Indiana. Maybe this is why they are rated highly on the BBB? read more

After spending $30K with them to "repair" my foundation, it's been over a year now that I've been waiting for them to come back to finish the job and do warranty the work that they said they would do. Since they've been paid, I can't get any response from them. The work they did was horrible, not according to the Architects plan, they used different materials and did the work improperly. They said that they would be coming back to correct it all. After no show and no response, I had to file a state complaint against this company, it's owner and license holder. Meanwhile my home continues to suffer more because of their caliber of workmanship and lack of ability to do their job properly. read more

After we paid half the price of a sump pump and battery backup system, Acculevel was unresponsive when we tried to get installation scheduled. Months and numerous messages from us later, we supposedly got on Acculevel's schedule. It was a relief this job was finally going to get done. We juggled work and medical appointments to be home during the 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. window the company gave us. Unfortunately, no one showed up that day, and they didn't let us know they weren't going to show up. At that point, we asked for a refund, and a representative told us a manager would contact us to walk us through that process. He never did. We followed up with an email about a week later -- and again -- heard nothing. About six months after we hired this company, we don't have the sump pump system, a refund or even a response from Acculevel. read more

I have been failed heavily by this company. Requesting them out to lift my basement floors up. 30k job. Paid a 10k deposit to get credit rolling. First manager Austin rarely would respond my questions. To busy being a hipster I think. Second guy apparently his boss got assigned to me after I called company asking why Austin wasnt responding to me. Oh he moved out of state. That would have been nice to know. So now im with Chris and couple weeks ago mad3 an appointment to come out and speak with me see my issues. We'll day he scheduled. No showed. No call. I call Monday. He forgot. So now to today I was told again 2 days ago he would come out and FaceTime some people to build a solid plan. No show no call again. For a 30k project with a 10k down deposit sure isnt a good service let alone trustworthy enough to give this money. Someone needs to reach out to me in the company I want my money refunded job canceled and be done with this company. read more

For all home sellers who want to make repairs before you sell, DO NOT use this company. They will take your money and leave your buyer with broken promises. Please read their "25 year transferable warranty" closely. Note that it says "at company's discretion" I just purchased a home where the previous owners paid $60k to have the basement and crawlspace encapsulated. After moving in I happened to go into the crawlspace area only to find water on top of the encapsulation. They came out, took a look and stated it would cost THOUSANDS more but wouldn't put it in writing. After a back in forth via email, I find out the crawlspaces aren't covered by the warranty. (Side note, you can only make a claim via snail mail. ) AND if you call in a different company to make repairs, it may void the warranty on the basement part of their "repair". What I've learned is; the companies I've contacted don't want to fix the problem AccuLevel knew they hadn't repaired. So you are basically left at the mercy of AccuLevel and ghosted. 0 out of 5 stars. read more

Zero stars I just got off the phone with Lance H and Mike Rohlf and am extremely upset with how I was talked at and talked over. I signed a contract on September 14th to have five piers installed from inside the basement. There were two men here who assured me I would have a scheduled date within 7-10 business days. I made it known to the company when booking the appointment and also to the men who arrived for the quote that I was selling the home and on a time crunch. On day 10 I began asking when I will be scheduled and stated I needed a date no later than day 11. On day 11 I was told by my salesman that the job could not be completed per my contract. They instead would have to do some of the work from the outside of the home. This is not what I signed for. I made it known that I could not move pipes or plumbing to accommodate changes. I requested a refund. Now day 13, I just had Lance and his manager, Mike, very rudely talk over me and state that I am outside of the 72 hour cancellation window. Which, mind you, not a single person mentioned while sitting at my kitchen island and discussing their personal lives and having me sign a tablet while simultaneously running my credit. I have now asked numerous times to simply be refunded since the job cannot be completed per my contract drawing. They've known since day 1 that the bathroom they now consider an issue could not be moved. I have just been very very rudely talked to by Mike Rohlf who is stating my entire $5,000 is now theirs should I cancel. This is horrible. You've changed the project and I cannot accommodate those changes so you're just going to keep my money? No work has begun. I'm not even scheduled to begin. I called the finance company and there is no account under my name therefore that process has not begun either. I just want my $5,000 back and to be treated like a human. read more

Being new to Indiana, I called all the foundation companies I saw on TV or that popped up in my Facebook feed. Saying I was disappointed with the outcome would be putting it mildly. The salesmen that inspected my house were trying to push hard sales, far exceeding the work I needed done, and a couple were caught outright lying to me. My attempt to find an honest contractor, with the skills and work ethics to quote the work I was requesting and not the work they wanted to sell me, was extremely frustrating. By the time I called Acculevel, I was not the most pleasant person on the phone, telling the operator to not send me an unqualified salesperson. She assured me that would not be the case, but obviously, I didn't believe her. Luke was my salesperson who took the time to listen to what I was trying to do and what my concerns were. He also took the time to inspect my foundation, taking measurements and making a site diagram. Luke discussed his findings with me and presented my options. He, of course, gave his opinion but did not push me in any direction. He was the first salesperson that did not come across as full of ____, making me comfortable to sign a contract for work. Not being the trusting type, I was still apprehensive about the quality of the crew that would show up. Day of the repairs, Ruben and his crew showed up on time. They knew exactly what the plan was and arrived ready to work. Ruben's crew did an amazing job and accomplished the work far quicker than I was expecting. I'd like to thank Acculevel for sending Luke and Ruben. Should I need foundation or basement work next time I purchase a property, I won't be calling any contractor besides Acculevel. Thanks again for all your help. read more

I called for an estimate to lift a sunken concrete walkway. I had some standing rainwater after a heavy storm. I understood it would cost 2,000.00. I was told this over the phone that minimum work would be 2,000.00. The person (Mitchell) who came for an estimate was here for over 2hrs., which I was not made aware that it would take that long. And for various reasons he made me uncomfortable and had asked me personal questions, of which I told his manager, Mike, Amy, the receptionist, and Mitchell himself. He told me that I needed a French Drain and new sump pump and some other work that would come to 10,000.00. During the time he was here I let him know I wanted to get other quotes. I told him I couldn't afford 10,000.00 and he somehow brought it down to 8,000.00 and I signed a contract, giving him a deposit for 4,000.00 dated 5/3/25 and posted at my bank on 5/3/25. I had 2nd thoughts about this work being done and accessed my bank account to stop payment to find that the check had been negotiated. Days later I attempted to contact someone other than the estimator that originally came to my house. I specifically said I did not want to talk to him as he made me uncomfortable. I was going to be referred to his manager (Mike). 10 min later the Mitchell called me... not his manager!! The receptionist who I talked to told me she specifically told the estimator (Mitchell) NOT to call me. The manager, days later called me back and said I only had 3 days to cancel and that time was up. And he cancelled the contracted work and kept 4,000.00. I asked if he would work with me and just to the work for 4000.00 and he declined. He, the manager, Mike cancelled--not me!! and told me I lost the deposit of 4000.00. There have been several phone calls between 4/14/25 and 4/25/25 to no avail. And I will mention again, I tried to stop payment on the check before the 3 days and it was already negotiated. The work was not scheduled until 5/7/25, which Mike cancelled. read more

his is one of the shabbiest companies I've ever had the displeasure of working with. They started 10 helical piers around my foundation March 2023. They did not get permits as promised. Did all the work before permits were issued. They also tried to charge me for all 10 holes dug saying it exceeded 48". Wanted to charge me over $4500 more on top of original quote. When I measured, some of the holes dug did not even exceed 24". Only about 2 of the piers were obvious that they exceeded 48". But they were very eager to charge me for all 10. I had also paid for cement jacking of the slab in my family room. They managed to drill through my duct work and fill the duct work up with the foam jacking material. Rendering my duck work useless. By November, they had to redig everything up so that the city inspector could inspect the job. I have been calling and emailing multiple time since January 2024. It is now June 2024 as of this writing. They have not completed work. Many cement areas are now more cracked due to over wintering and their shoddy work. I had no complaint about the workers that showed up. They worked hard. But the salesman and everybody in administration were completely incompetent to figure out how to fix their mistakes. They left my house a mess. I have a filed a complaint against Acculevel with the Attorney General. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone! Completely UNPROFESSIONAL. The level of incompetence at every turn was alarming! read more

I hesitate to write this review, since our sales rep has been diligently working to resolve this issue (but unfortunately, to no avail). We contracted with Acculevel to install an egress window in our basement to convert a room into a proper, legal bedroom so our daughter could safely move downstairs. The window was set to be installed 5/7; the crew promptly showed up and began excavation outside while one of their crew members started demo inside. After a brief snag with an unexpected pipe in the way (which was quickly resolved), we then discovered that the lintel that Acculevel had coordinated with the stone mason to install was too small to support the dimensions of the window we originally contracted for. The Acculevel crew escalated this issue internally and a few supervisor-type gentleman arrived onsite. We discussed our options and agreed to install a different window (a taller, narrower casement window rather than the originally contracted-for sliding window). As long as the window was safe for egress and met the legal requirements for a bedroom without sacrificing any space inside the already-small room, we were flexible! While the crew continued to excavate and install the window well the new window arrived and was installed. The window well, however, was not set high enough to clear the top of the new window which now was a crank out style. What we didn't realize at the time (and no one bothered to communicate to us) was that since the new window opened outward with a crank and the window well didn't clear the height of the window, the window well cover BLOCKED the window from even opening! We had an egress window that you can't even open. We didn't discover this until the next day and then we promptly communicated this to Acculevel. At that point an Acculevel rep (not sure who) tried to tell us that they communicated to us during the install that they would order a new window that would crank open inward. This is entirely untrue since we never would have agreed to a window that effectively (1) reduces the available floor space of an already small room and (2) reduces the potential furniture layouts of the bedroom. We pressed Acculevel for alternate solutions and they advised that they could install a new, taller window well cover that would hit above the window. This would mean a more obtrusive window well cover from the exterior/street view, but at the end of the day it seemed the best solution. We asked them to move forward and were told they were. Fast forward and after multiple contacts with our sales rep to see the status, we learned yesterday that they haven't even yet identified a manufacturer for a taller window well cover. We feel no closer to having a usable basement bedroom than we were 5 weeks ago, despite playing musical bedrooms with our kids and their belongings! Our plans are on hold, and we have no idea when we will finally be able to safely move our daughter into her new room that she's been patiently waiting for. Five weeks is more than enough time to remedy this issue and yet, here we are - with an "egress window" we can't even open. read more

One star because the footing work was done eventually. The entire process has been one gigantic exercise in ineptitude and lack of communication. They failed to file the necessary paperwork with my city to begin work for over 3 weeks despite multiple reminders for myself, failed to show up on the scheduled day for work and did not notify me of this, offered a rebate on the work for the rescheduling inconvenience, then reneged on this promise. According to the city they scheduled the inspection to be done on the 9th but work was done on the 10th, requiring the footing to be dug up a second time for review. During the installation, it was also discovered that their sales team use different metrics and measurements than the install crews use, nearly resulting in having to have the steps leading into my front door demolished as they could not install in my crawl space as the sales rep assured me was possible. It is now June 8th, I have had this second set of holes open in front of my property for 5 days now while they continue to delay, reschedule, and then no-show to fill them in, leaving me to spend the day with hand tools doing it myself. This has been nothing but a huge headache and I cannot stress enough that this company should be avoided at all cost read more

Accu Level overpromised and underperformed. We reached out to have a simple job performed as part of selling our house. From the start, we were told the work could be performed prior to closing. Due to timing and this promise, we did not get any other bids. Upon receiving the contract, we paid the deposit within one hour. From this point on, there was no communication from the business that was not initiated by us. We texted our rep and called the office every day from this point on to see when the work would be scheduled. There was no proactive communication whatsoever. Finally, one day before closing, our real estate agent demand a date to be scheduled and it was scheduled two weeks after closing. Thankfully, we had a flexible buyer who was willing to close without the work being done. On the day the work was supposed to be scheduled, with no notice, it was postponed for another week and the buyer had to find a time to reschedule. This had to be communicated to me by my realtor and not the business. After the work was done, I reached out to our rep to explain how disappointed we were with the customer service. This was verbatim his response: "Please understand this is not our normal scenario and there were people let go/had responsibilities changed because of it." I asked to speak to his manager. Upon speaking with the manager, he said they weren't willing to do anything to make amends for the lack of customer service even with his rep openly admitting that they did not meet their promises. The manager quoted back terms of the contract to me that they are allowed to reschedule and I explained that this was not a contractual dispute, but a complaint about customer service when an employee openly admitted fault and he was not willing to take accountability for his employee. I asked to speak to his manager. This conversation happened two weeks ago and I'm still waiting for that call. Don't use this business if you want any level of customer service. read more

I requested an estimate online from this company. When they called to schedule an appointment I was told that they didn't service my zip code. I asked did they service Chicago. She said they serviced Chicago just not 60619 zip code. When I asked why they only serviced some zip codes she stated that they have a problem getting permits in some zip codes. Chicago has the same rules for the entire city. I told her this sounds like some type of red lining when you only service some zip codes. 60619 zip code is on the South side of Chicago primarily inhabited by African Americans and not far from Indiana border. Why would an Indiana company that does business in Chicago not do business in the 60619 zip code...... read more

I experienced horrible customer service and misinformation. The first guy was eager to take the deposit without fully assessing the core issue, He seemed extremely inexperienced and worse he apparently doesn't know how to use a phone because calls were never returned. I knew then that these were not the guys that I would want to do business with. I immediately hired more professional contractors and they did an excellent job for half the price. Thanks Acculevel! 0 stars. Avoid! read more

I had them out to my property for basement waterproof and foundation repair. They caused a mess on the property, we're unable to do the scope of work quoted; and caused damage to existing water lines while doing their digging. They confirmed repeatedly that waterproofing mastic would be able to be applied on my basement, literally until the exact moment they took one pass with the excavator (after breaking up concrete, removing an antennae, and a deck; just to commit me further. If there was any question whether they could do the work they claimed, then they should have started on the side of the house that required nothing to be removed. They left trash and debris in the drainage trench (which I had to remove) and the "waterproofing sheeting" is not secured in any capacity, even being worked around other debris that they couldn't be bothered to remove. They left an entire former window opening in the foundation (which was included in the scope and quote), instead choosing to stretch thin plastic over the void- in order to hold back all the dirt up until you reach the grade. Normally you get what you pay for, but they were actually a very expensive company. Communication is terrible once you send them a deposit, and the salesman (who will claim to be a "home doctor)" that sold you on them no longer cares about your project. They also left an entire pallet of ruined cement bags in my driveway, and apparently are just no longer completing the sections that would have been used for. I am extremely disappointed with what I initially viewed as a company ready and willing to help resolve the issues that I handsomely paid them too. read more
This is the only Acculevel I can find on Yelp. I will assume it is the same company we used Oct/Nov 2017. Young man that came to the house was very professional. He went under the house and took lots of pictures. When he came back in the house we talked options. We decided to get the house leveled and do mold remediation and preventative. The company had to reschedule once and actually that worked better for us. The work took two days to replace rotted wood and to spray a solution on all the wood to stop current mold and prevent further mold. My only compliant and the reason for 4 stars not 5. They should really tell people to leave the house during the spraying. We had boarded our dogs since they couldn't have access to the yard while the men were working, but husband was home when they were spraying. When I go home from work I could barely breath and was immediately getting a headache. I told him we both needed to leave while the house aired out. We opened all our second story windows and were gone a couple hours. When we got back most of the smell was gone. We turned our HVAC back on and left the windows open a few hours more. I can only imagine someone with allergies or asthma would have real issues with the spray. If someone from the company sees, this please tell people to remove their pets and also leave and air out their house when this spray process is being done. read more

Based on an estimate they gave in 2020, Acculevel installed helical piers on the back part of my house after I purchased it. When I got a new job a year and a half later and needed to sell, I discovered that the work they did wasn't even half of what was actually needed, and that I would have to spend several thousand more to complete the job. In discussions with Acculevel, I was told "our guy should have done a more complete inspection" and "I've been in situations where sellers try and manage the contract in a way to save themselves money. That's probably what happened in this case. That's still no excuse, we should look at the whole house." Yet I don't know if anyone was ever truly forthcoming with me about what was going on -- with the previous job and the new estimate of what else was needed -- and I certainly don't appreciate Freddie's attempts to gaslight me while looking at inspection reports. Seven thousand dollars -- which is the discounted price they quoted me only after several hours of back and forth with a sales manager -- is a huge amount of money that I shouldn't have to pay, if only Acculevel had been as "honest and transparent" as it claimed to be when I purchased the home. I'd be skeptical of any estimate they provide. read more

WOW! Reuben the supervisor on the job and his Team partner Brian did an excellent job! If you can imagine a muddy crawl space...they laid a complete vapor barrier the crawl space area leaving it spotless and pure white. You could eat off the barrier. Additionally they installed a sump pump and dehumidifier. Everything was organized and left spotlessly clean! This area was loaded with bricks, pvc pipes, rocks, wood pieces and they made it look like it was just dug in. Acculevel is by far one of the best services we have had come out to our lake house! I encourage everyone to benefit from this company if you need such services! sherry S. who posted on 2/25/2021 must be difficult to work with because these guys were so detailed, clean, efficient and never stopped working accept for a brief lunch. The job lasted 2 days. I cannot imagine Sherri S. Had this experience? Note, once you post on Yelp, it cannot be removed so I suspect they company solved here problem. They are very guarantee focused. read more

Now this is a story all about how Our house had problems underground And I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there I'll tell you how Acculevel handled every repair We bought a great house, and it got lots of praise But after closing it wasn't all that many days Of chilling out, maxin, relaxing all cool And splashing and playing in our brand new pool When a couple of walls that we'd thought were all good Started looking sketchy under all that wood We pulled off a couple panels and I got real scared And said OH NO and pulled out a few handfuls of my hair I got estimates and quotes day after day But it wasn't until Freddie Miles showed me the way That we'd get it repaired and then he got me my ticket To a shiny new basement. Well, I might as well kick it Crew came, yo, it was bad Dust in the air, shaking the window glass Is this what owning a real house is like? They cleaned it up, this might be all right But wait, I think there might be water leaking, oh drat Don't worry, Freddie said, we'll take care of all that He was totally right, so don't get disheveled Just trust the care of your basement to Acculevel They finished up and when I went down It was all done, looked super great, I had nary a frown Not a drop of water anywhere, the walls all looked great They did a awesome job, I thought, I'd recommend them I even got the nicest opportunity to befriend them I walked up the stairs and when I closed the door I felt like everything was level, even the floor If anything, I could say the service was rare And I thought, "Great job Acculevel, your price is real fair!" I am Done with this review, it took longer than normal And I think probably it's a little less formal But if you have basement problems, I promise you'll revel In the excellent work that's done by Acculevel read more

We are devastated 100% and will never recommend this company. Our house has been torn up as we've been living in our kitchen downstairs as our living room has been torn out as they were fixing the middle center beam wall and ran into complications with air ducts. The they halted the project to try to figure out what they could do next on March 29th. It became extreme lack of communication and no responses after we had were no showed two weeks in a row by their manager who is coming to tell us the next step of what they thought we could do. As we left messages on that Monday after the supposed manager no showed us two Saturdays in a row they never called back until we called again and again then it constantly became ghosting from their end. I called two weeks ago,,No one ever called us back. my husband text the manager on Monday and I called this morning and talked to a woman as she submitted all this. I feel like we have been more than patient as we have been living since the end of March with no living room and living in our bedrooms upstairs and only in our kitchen. They are supposedly a family, caring and ran business and obviously are none of these. We are mind blown and left hanging as they did not respond when I called this morning and submitted all of these details but to only send an email this evening saying they cannot do this project anymore as we just mailed in a check to start this part of the project again as we've already paid a huge amount for the other part, they are extremely unprofessional, negligence to the extreme. I cannot even believe this and we have no clue what to do next as our house is torn up and they ditched us! We never fathomed to be in the stance after spending a very big amount of money at the start of this. Now we are left just hanging and they could not even have the decency to respond to the text messages and phone calls and now to send an email and not even call and explain things extremely,, unprofessional, uncalled for and we are now feeling lost after 3 months of waiting. I cannot even believe looking at their website for what they say, and how they truly do business,, there is definitely no guarantee and they do not care at all obviously. read more

Acculevel did some foundation repair at the front of our house and as part of the repair, restored a brick Archway on our front portico. I looked up their name on our paperwork from a job they did in 2010, because we now need some chimney repair. They don't do chimney repair, but I just wanted to thank them for the repair from August 2010. We've not had any problems, the front of the house, including the brick Archway looks great, and they did great work. Hoping we never Need more foundation work but would love to use them again if we did. read more

Do NOTHING. Sometimes it's better and a better indicator of a great company when they tell you there's nothing to do. Any company can spout a bunch of gobbledygook and try to schmooze their way into getting you to hire them to do stuff. But honestly, the best companies are the ones that will accurately assess your issue. Tell you what you do or do not need to do about it and go on their way. This is exactly how David Smith handled his visit recently. I asked to look at a corner of the house that was settling. He assessed it. Use the laser level. No problems with the technology. No problems talking clearly. He was a good salesperson and an excellent technician. However nothing was needed so even more importantly he was honest. I can't tell you how many times I've dealt professionally and personally with companies that do these kind of services. I was a residential home inspector looking at my mother's house. I saw settling in the Northeast corner. Only saw settling cracks throughout the house and saw a significant gap between the floorboards and the basement bedroom. However, at that point if I were doing an inspection for somebody I would say go get a professional. That's exactly what I did. I got a professional and I'm so glad that I chose the company that had the longest time in business. I would give them five stars everyday but clearly I do not have an issue or a need for their services. I cannot stress enough how important it is to find a company like this. Again, thank you David. I appreciate your succinct evaluation. 100% forthright honest jargon-filled assessment and recommendations for best next steps which in my case was honestly nothing. read more

Terrible Experience - Misdiagnosed Problem and Refused to Resolve It I've never dealt with a company as frustrating as this. Their so-called "foundation expert" completely misdiagnosed the issue of water entering my basement. After spending thousands of dollars on their proposed solution, the problem remained unresolved. Ironically, I ended up fixing the issue myself by implementing a simple solution I had initially suggested to their expert--but they dismissed it. When I informed Acculevel that their faulty diagnosis had cost me thousands of dollars, their response was essentially, "Well, you signed." Yes, I signed, trusting the expertise of their professional, which turned out to be a big mistake. I reached out to them numerous times, but all I got were empty promises. Manager Josh claimed the service department would follow up, but no one ever showed. I left multiple messages with no callback. To make matters worse, the team that performed the work left a hole in my wall with an exposed pipe leading outside and didn't even bother patching it. I now have an expensive sump pump sitting in the corner of my basement that hasn't run once in over a month, despite my area receiving over five inches of rain. Additionally, I couldn't help but notice that the workers may not be legal United States citizens, with one unable to speak English at all and another barely understandable. It made me question their employment practices. In the end, I'm left with a costly, useless setup and a basement that remains vulnerable. Save yourself the headache and avoid this company at all costs. This is not over. They don't get to just walk away with my money. read more

I can only speak to my experience and not others, my experience with Acculevel was excellent. From the first phone call and response for quote, Acculevel was the only company that responded out of 8 calls to contractors in the Ann Arbor area. I can't thank the company enough for the job they did. The scheduling of the onsite project advisor was on time to get me the analysis and the quote. The scheduling manager called and committed to a day and time and they showed up exactly when they said. The schedule from signing the contract and work starting was quicker than expected, I think 2 1/2 weeks most and I had to scramble. I needed helical piers installed to save a load bearing porch wall. Everything went as well until a unique discovery in my yard that nobody could have foreseen. Acculevel grabbed my attention, with their engineers, and a solution was formulated within the hour. It's a story that they can only tell as it was unique. There were no surprises for me other than what we had to deal with that one "what is that" moment. The project advisor and the lead installer had briefed me on potential cost increases (i.e. if they need to go down beyond the standard pier length to hit bedrock) but I didn't have any cost overruns on my job. I also appreciate the time the seasoned installer took with mentoring a younger employee, that's leadership and refreshing to see. I'm happy with their work. read more

A house I just bought had significant foundation work previously, and a structural engineer suggested some maintenance repairs to further reinforce the foundation and keep water out. Acculevel applied carbon straps with floor joist blocking, sealed cracks in the foundation block, buried downspouts, raised and resealed my patio (which had previously sunk several inches toward the house), and completed work in my crawlspace. It was very easy to schedule the initial estimate, work took place two days later, and they sent someone out to inspect the repairs within two weeks of completion. I was very pleased with the whole process--from the initial consultation, proposal, and explanation of the repairs to the completion of the job. It was not inexpensive, but I feel like it was a worthy investment to maintain the integrity of my home's foundation. read more

Matt was up front about the cost and understood our policy to obtain estimates from 3 companies before proceeding with work in our home. He itemized the estimate and explained the procedure and warranty. He was pleasant to work with! He did not require an hour of my time or insist that both my husband and I be present in order to give us a sales pitch. The price was competitive and not inflated to cover marketing expenses. I like that the company is family owned & local, and that the workers are employees, not sub-contractors. The men who did the work were efficient and we have had no water in our basement since the waterproofing was done. I believe the contractors who followed Acculevel's work were a little surprised at the materials used, and they had to adjust their plans somewhat, but all is good in the end. Thank you! read more

The job was completed and I'm a happy customer. I needed an additional sump pump pit installed to supplement my existing as we get a heavy flow of water at our house and have had some wet carpets in the past. The crew had great attention to workmanship and were all excellent inside the house and outside being very careful to not disturb any underground lines. In fact, from my first call to the company with Crystal, then sales with Matt and his boss who came out, they really listened and understood my concerns and needs, then Jeremy with the scheduling and follow up. Everyone has been top drawer. Dare I say, let it rain! Thanks again for an excellent customer experience and value in the product you delivered. I highly recommend this company. read more

From the quotation process through the end of the job, Acculevel was very responsive. Based on my needs and the different levels of service they offered, I took a fairly long time to make a decision. The individual I was working with was very patient through this process and was responsive to questions I had while going through the process. The work underneath our home is very clean the end of the highest quality. They showed up when they said they would and it was completed when they said it would be. Something that you don't often find these days. It was no small task either, we replaced beams under the house and installed jacks. I highly recommend them if you have needs for a crawlspace repair. read more

I am so glad we chose Acculevel for our project! From their customer service, communication about the job, knowledge, and overall professionalism, we couldn't have asked for a better company to assist us on our project. Acculevel's crew slap jacked the sidewalk at our office and it looks brand new! Luis and Mariano were very skilled and extremely courteous to customers coming in and out of the businesses alongside us. Bryan did a great job leading the project and maintained professionalism the whole time. If I ever need help on a project in the future, I know who I will be using! I would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs assistance at their home and/or business. read more

I had Acculevel perform major crawl space and foundation work on my home back in 2008. Earlier this spring, after the clouds opened and rain fell for several days, I noticed standing water in my crawl space. I contacted Acculevel and a rep stopped by my home, found the problem to reside in a stubborn sump pump, and instructed me how to maintain its operation. This visit cost me nothing! Since becoming a homeowner in 1989, I've had multiple contractors and service personnel perform work for me, Acculevel ranks #1 in making me happy. I only wish that all service contractors took as much pride in their work and interest in their customers as Acculevel does. read more

We couldn't be more pleased with the entire experience. We were sold the job that remedied our situation and nothing more. No high pressure/fear based sales. Thank you Sage. The crew was prompt, respectful, efficient and executed their tasks with minimal disruption and mess. That is a feat when using a jack hammer and carrying out buckets of earth/concrete! Thank you Rubin and Juan. We secured 3 bids by three companies. Acculevel was by far the most reasonable. We have thus far had a couple weather events that normally would have produced some seepage. I am happy to report our basement was dry as a bone. read more

Had my patio done by Acculevel and it turned out perfect. They had to come out a second time due to unforeseen issues but the job was completed as promised and then some. Saved me from pouring a whole new patio, it slopes away from my basement now, and it looks great. The two service technicians, Junior and Tony, were VERY courteous and professional and answered all my questions while they were working. Cleaned up the area and took the time to listen to my concerns while they were doing their job. Great guys and a great patio! Geoff Furgason read more

This is one of my rare positive experiences with regard to home repairs. My basement was leaking like crazy from 3 different spots. I got four estimates to address the situation. Acculevel was the best of the four by far. The representatives explanations were clear and concise. I could tell he knew his game. My gut feeling was that Acculevel was the way to go, regardless of the cost. So I chose Acculevel. Oh yeah... and they ended up being the cheapest too. read more

My garage concrete slab sunk couple of inches. Acculevel scheduled Craig came to my house and gave me a sound plan to fix it. He was professonal, responded to every question I had. Acculevel did outstanding work to water proof our basement. They dug a new French drain, and also water proofed our crawl space. It was no longer dank and unpleasant.
