First the backstory: We put a small room addition on our home 20 years ago. The room addition was built on a 4' crawl space foundation, while the older main house it butted up to had an 8' standard basement foundation. Over the years with the freeze/thaw in the ground, compounded by the dryness in recent years which shrinks the soil, the room addition was sinking ever so slightly at the end farthest from the main house ... 20 feet away. Sum and substance, the far end of the dining room had sunk about 1" causing it to pull away slightly from the main house at the roof line. We got five quotes to repair what had happened. Acculevel did the work to earn the job. The field agent for Acculevel (Dan) was excellent; he took his time and really went over the room addition in detail. He agreed with what the problem was and proposed a series of six helical piers on the exterior to stabilize the room and possibly lift it back up. His analysis was so thorough that he also found a foundation crack inside the crawl space that needed repair. Only one of the other firms that quoted on the job went to the effort Dan did. We decided to go with Acculevel. Acculevel was willing to negotiate some of the language on the contract, and this made it fair to both parties. They originally wanted 50% down, but since the job wasn't to be done until six months later in the Spring and they only needed to do permit work and an engineering report, we agreed to 25% down ... with the other 25% when we received a copy of the permit and engineering report. Very reasonable by all parties. Hint: Always read the contract ... because what's in there is for you and them. When the day came to do the job, the two employees they sent out ... Ricardo and Orlando ... were also tip-top. They worked hard and long hours, hand dug all the pits for the piers, set the piers in place and called it a day ... it was a 10-hour day not counting their travel time. The second day they screwed the piers into the ground (a couple were screwed in 17'), mounted the foundation brackets (essentially large heavy duty "L"-shaped brackets), and used bottle jacks to ratchet the brackets up firmly against the footing. After jacking the room up almost back to perfect, they back-filled, tamped, and replaced all the landscaping that had been disturbed. In the end, the room was stabilized and lifted back up to approximately where it had been before sinking. We did not see any wallboard cracks in the interior of the room, which is a small risk you run when you jack the room back up. As the contract stated, the work performed was warranted to stabilize the room, but not guaranteed to lift it back up. We were very happy with how it turned out. If we had to nit-pick anything, it would be dealing with the home office back in Rossville, Indiana. They are often hard to get a hold of ... you end up leaving messages and hoping for a return call. Acculevel serves six or so states and have been growing very fast, so they get some slack in this area. But we were so satisfied with the work and the result ... especially the field agent Dan and the workers Ricardo and Orlando ... we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I hired Acculevel to install a complete water drainage system for our house on April 13, 2026. After seeing high ratings on the internet, it seemed like it would be a good choice. Also, had a friend say they were using this company for a lake house in WI and at that point in time, they had a positive experience. Well, needless to say that all went to hell quickly for both of us and we were left dealing with issues with this company. My friend's issues even far exceed what I experienced. My opinion based on the facts below, FIND ANOTHER COMPANY. I am well aware that things can go wrong during work to delay things, but the problem isn't the fact that a pipe was broken. It's how it gets handled and how you treat your customer. Acculevel does NOT communicate well at all and doesn't handle the issues that arise in a timely manner. A two-day job took 3wks all because they wouldn't get a check cut for the first plumber at time of work even though they were willing to have him do it and get it done. I am very familiar with business and operations, and the company should have something already in place to handle emergency repairs in a much easier manner. If they had, the entire job would have been done in a week and it even would have cost them much less. If I hadn't kept calling and emailing, I have no doubt the project wouldn't have been completed in 3wks either. It is very disappointing to not be able to refer this company to my neighbors, since we all have older systems and theirs will also fail at some point, if they haven't already. It is a very expensive home repair and stressful situation, but they really did make me feel abandoned during the process. If you choose them, be prepared to question everything as it is happening and watch how it is being done. When they don't answer your calls, keep calling and emailing. Whoever you have do your work, pay for the Utility line Insurance like I did. You may need it like I did. I should not have had to be sitting at home waiting for so many days just in case someone showed. I should not have had to hound them to get the work done. I should not have had to get a regional manager involved in order to get the work I paid for complete. I should not have used this company. The following is a chronological account from start to finish with this company. Jason, the salesman was very nice and personable all while explaining their system and what it includes. My husband and I talked with him for quite a while. We signed the agreement that day and began our demo of the basement to prepare. Here is the timeline of problems with Acculevel that I endured. May 5th - received text saying our work was scheduled for June 4 & 5, 2026. June 4th (Thurs) - the 1st crew arrives, begins the breaking up of concrete, existing pipe gets cracked in the process and needs repair. I have a plumber and the village inspector come out the same day to look at it and explain to the crew what now needed to be repaired. Crew lead relayed info. to his boss and they continued with the concrete demo. June 5th (Fri) - The same crew arrives with only half of the concrete needed for the job. Why? I inform them of a private gas line and location (clearly spray painted) in yard so they don't hit it when installing the discharge line. The crew did NO work outside and installed the half concrete they brought with. They left that day without giving me any info on when the pipe repair would be complete, when the drainage system would be completed inside/outside. He said I don't know who or when someone will come back but please sign these papers on the work we did and make note of what was still left to be completed. I literally had a mess, incomplete work and no working pump with no information on when this would be resolved. June 6th (Sat) - I made many calls and left many voicemails for the crew supervisor, Acculevel main number and the salesman. No return calls from anyone. June 8th (Mon) - After doing my own digging around, I got the numbers for the local (Brian) and regional (Mike) Operations managers to ask what is going on with my job. Mike says he will work on getting a plumber for estimate and crew out for Wednesday. I say how ridiculous this is and I shouldn't have to wait a week to get the repair done. Acculevel approved the repairs of plumber I had come out week before but since plumber wouldn't accept credit card, Acculevel said he would have to wait 2-4 weeks for a check. Now I don't know why they think that would be acceptable waiting so long to pay him, but they couldn't do better than that. So now they had to find someone to do the repair while my basement is open and puddling with water in area not covered with concrete. PLEASE SEE PHOTOS FOR REST OF REVIEW. Lengthy but important to detail.

i'd give them negative stars if I could. Absolutely horrible experience with Accu level. Asked sales rep if they could install fresh insulation board in my crawlspace, and I was told yes then I was given misinformation about the drainage pop-ups could be placed. I also asked if they would be of the high spots in my crawlspace. I was also told yes. They lied because they do not in fact foam board so I removed about $2000 worth of my own insulation for nothing. The installers were given no notes about where I wanted. My drains placed so that never got fixed. Then I was told from a different installer that Not only do they not offer insulation, but they also generally do not re-grade your crawlspace. Presently the tape they seal is coming up in places and I have water coming up over their vapor barrier, sloppy workmanship, and complete misinformation. And so far they're willing to do nothing. Apparently, it's time to contact an attorney.

2 man crew was excellent punctual and meticulous. Communication with offices not good, always automated, some called back. Prices very high, but not much variety to look elsewhere. Most irritating thing was virtually no discounts, seniors, veterans etc. and they won't budge an inch. Pretty stingy, considering the high price. If I could have found anybody else, probably would have. read more

Had a rough start but once we got Radal involved it was finished in a day. Took about a month for what I expected to be done in a week tops but Austin stuck with it and it was done professionally. Be clear eyed about your expectations. I was super frustrated for a moment but Austin stuck with it and helped me a lot. The system was a little mixed up about the status and I think that contributed to the confusion. read more

On 06/03/2026 we contracted Acculevel to replace a sagging support beam in the basement of our home in Madison Ohio. They submitted their plan and obtained the required permit through The Lake County Building Dept. and the plan was approved 06/18/2026. On 07/30/2026 the work was performed and the inspection was performed on the following day. The Building Inspector has a few things that need to be addressed by Acculevel in order to approve the permitted installation. The building inspector submitted his comments to Acculevel for resolution. It is currently 08/22/2026 and neither I nor the Building Inspector have had any response from Acculevel. I have tried to contact them through their service department and my project coordinator (Antonio) and the contact person provided to the Lake County Building Dept and have not received any information or followup from them. My remodel work is on hold until they get their permit approved. It "appears" as though they have no intention of following up to bring their work up to code. I will update this review if we are contacted by Acculevel to resolve this issue. read more

I would give zero stars if that were an option. I genuinely don't feel this company deserves even one. They completed work at my home three months ago, and almost immediately issues started coming up. I asked them to come back out to re-evaluate, and when they finally did, that visit went poorly and clearly needs to be redone. Since then, more than two months have passed with absolutely no effort on their part to correct the situation. Meanwhile, the problem has only continued to get worse. I have reached out repeatedly trying to get back on the schedule, and I've been met with delays, excuses, and empty promises. It's beyond frustrating at this point. What makes this even more upsetting is that I paid top dollar specifically because I wanted the job done correctly the first time. Instead, I'm left with worsening issues and zero accountability. Scott keeps saying he's "reaching out," but nothing ever actually happens. I'm exhausted from chasing a company I already paid. This experience has been incredibly disappointing and completely unacceptable. read more

Acculevel is not a company you want to contract. Poor quality work - created more problems than they solved Poor customer service - can't get a hold of anyone responsible Poor response - if there is a problem takes a month to respond Wish this site allowed posting pictures. If you saw the work they did you would not use them. 2 days work was over $18,000 they are not cheap. They also charged me more when on site. and wouldn't continue until I agreed - you are hostage. read more

Would not recommend this company at all. I had many issues and they will not respond to repeated voice messages and emails. No one (except the sales guy) ever answers their phone, and once you've put half down, the sales guy doesn't even call you back. If I had it to do all over again, I would go with someone else. read more

When the salesman came out, I expressed 2 concerns: when we had heavy rains, the rainwater would come into the house, flooding the laundry room and from there, it ran into the garage. The rain also flooded my patio and when the rain receded it left a film of mud everywhere. Those were the only two things I wanted fixed. The salesman was very positive about their ability to do this. No problem. So the workers were here and I questioned how what they were doing was going to stop the flooding of the patIo. I was given an explanation and told to wait and see. They finished. To the tune of $12.000. First heavy rain comes and my patio floods. I call the salesman and he says that I just need to wait until it all settles in. In the meantime, I am working in the mulch area and I am finding melon size chunks of concrete that were buried in the mulch. This had to be intentional, as they had to have put the mulch over it. Behind my husbands workshop, they dumped load after load of dirt, rocks and again, chunks of concrete. They even put large pieces of concrete that I could not even lift. There were other places too. Bottom line, they told me they would come back and fix everything for an additional $5000. CROOKS CROOKS CROOKS. read more

We hired Acculevel in November 2025 to repair a basement foundation leak. Seven months later, the leak is still not fixed, and getting anyone to take responsibility has been incredibly frustrating. After spending a significant amount of money, we expected the problem to be resolved or, at the very least, for the company to stand behind its work. Instead, we've been left with the same issue we originally hired them to fix, and repeated attempts to get someone to come back out have gone nowhere. At this point, it feels like we paid for a repair that never actually solved the problem. The lack of follow-up, communication, and accountability has been extremely disappointing. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. read more

I am writing on behalf of my 89 yr old mother. She hired Aculevel to make repairs to her foundation June 12, 2026. The company dug up her yard, cut through and damaged her outdoor sprinkler system (which she had clearly pointed out to them and warned them to be careful) and left her yard in upheaval. This would have been ok if they had actually fixed the problem, however the recent heavy rains once again flooded her basement. The workers pressured her to give them the final payment and sign off on the job before they would leave, so she didn't know the work did not solve her problem. This company took advantage of an 89 year old woman on a fixed income and since the new flooding we have not been able to talk to a live person from Aculevel. We have been shuffled into a voicemail system with promises to call us back. I left my email and phone information when prompted and I'm still waiting after a week since the flooding. I'm very disappointed with the work and the customer service. We cannot recommend this company. read more

Acculevel completed work for us last year, and this year we had some water leakage. Jackson called to advise he was done with a previous job early and was available now. I made my way home and when he arrived he was in good spirits and ready to listen to my concerns and issues. Jackson assessed the issue in full detail and provided education on what to look for and where the culprit of the leak. Jackson discovered that leak was caused by an exterior wall, large window and roof. He was very thorough and honest. I learned so much today. Thank you Jackson!! While my issues were not resolved to day, you definitely prepared me to know what to expect and the best resolutions to my issue!! read more

Lots of communication issues before the job. Guys arrived 5/18 and were confused about the project, and may not have completed the spillover. They dug in my neighbors yard which resulted in threat of legal action. Concrete repair they completed cracked within a week. I had to hire a concrete company at cost to me of $3000 to redo top two panels of drive. Concrete company later told me they observed a large gap between house foundation and garage. That is what was supposed to be addressed by Acculevel. Basement leaked on 6/10, 6/17 and 7/3. Acculevel did not respond to my calls, texts, emails for 2 weeks. Filed complaint with BBB and was asked by Acculevel to be patient. They indicated they would open Customer Service Ticket and send to Escalation Department. I have heard from NO ONE in 3 weeks. Acculevel epoxy repaired multiple cracks on my basement walls on 11/20/23. They provided me with a 5 year warranty email from their Rossville office. I called them on Monday, June 29th at 8:30 in the morning regarding one of the epoxy repairs failing and was told someone would reach out to me soon. I called again on Friday after receiving no follow up all week and left a VM which was never returned by Acculevel. I then replied to the warranty email on Jul 6, 2026, 4:28PM and CC'd in the Project Advisor that quoted and scheduled my epoxy repairs and noted one of the crack repairs is failing. He responded in 10mins asking for a photo of the issue which I provided within an hour. He then responded again to me within an hour noting "I'm in Valpo this Friday and I can stop by either early morning say 8am or try to squeeze you in early afternoon..." I responded to him early the next morning stating "Sorry for the late reply. I won't be available in the morning, let me know if the afternoon works (with my cell number)" and never heard back from the Project Manager again. Two days later I copied in their info@acculevel email address stating "I've still received no decent follow up on this.... And I initially reached on in June??" - an accounts payable employee responded on the email "It looks like you are trying to reach our service department. I forwarded your messages to them. I am in accounting. They can be reached at servicedepartment email." so I then CC'd in that email on July 20th, and also CC'd in their office email address from my invoice and stated this was unacceptable that almost a month later no one will provide a proper response, update, and are obviously not wanting to make good on their warranty. I had other options for companies to do these repairs and regret my decision to go with Acculevel. read more

I'm so so sorry that we hired this company to install a sump pump pit and geotrack in our crawlspace in Ohio for around $9,500. We signed a contract in Dec 2025 and it is now March 2026. It's a company that leaves you feeling like your talking to a wall when there is water in the crawlspace! The system made our water problems *worse* because they drilled weep holes that let water in faster than it exits. I was a giant pest and demanded communication in writing so after every visit, the complaining started the day that they left. It was like pulling teeth to know who in the company addressed issues. After two rounds of inspections and no real fixes, I started the steps to get our money back which is 1) Demand letter 2) forensic engineering report, and then 3) arbitration. Once a certified letter made it to their president, a crew of 7 came to perform fixes. For the first time, an expert was there who made them remove everything and start over. A whole new system is going in and I'll be eager to see if it works with the next rain. They added an additional sump pump well. I don't want to be in a lawsuit. I want to be ripped off even less. It's 10pm on Sunday night and they think they'll be done at 10:30pm. I want to go to be after getting up at 7:30am to meet them. How can they not be exhausted and not want to take short cuts? I recently saw an article that the company recently expanded to Ohio. Most of their employees are in Indiana. Maybe this is why they are rated highly on the BBB? read more

After spending $30K with them to "repair" my foundation, it's been over a year now that I've been waiting for them to come back to finish the job and do warranty the work that they said they would do. Since they've been paid, I can't get any response from them. The work they did was horrible, not according to the Architects plan, they used different materials and did the work improperly. They said that they would be coming back to correct it all. After no show and no response, I had to file a state complaint against this company, it's owner and license holder. Meanwhile my home continues to suffer more because of their caliber of workmanship and lack of ability to do their job properly. read more

The initial meeting was promot and the worker seemed to be thorough and to the point when presenting solutions to my problem. The company has a great financing option for those needing it. You have to sign an agreement that you may need to get a landscaper after the project. Understandable. The communication was okay at first; i had several calls with updates on the project mostly due to issues they would encounter including breaking the sidewalk. Since they didnt bring any concrete to replace it, i agreed to just leave it. But they also didnt bring a dumpster, so they had to order one and had me haul all the concrete in it myself. They also didnt take into account that there was extra space needing filled where the piers were placed in the yard so after we got a decent amount of rain, i ended up having holes along my house that went as deep as 2 feet down. I tried calling customer service several times and they would simply refer me to the project manager whom doesnt answer their emails or respond to voicemails. Resulting in this negative review. read more

Problem resolved Agreed on a settlement after initially blowing me off telling me that I hired them to raise the concrete and that's what they did, even though they raised it a full 2 inches past being where it should have been in at least one corner, that actually bowed the concrete. 1 star is generous; Not good is an extreme overstatement. I hired this company to fix a small, recurring problem with a cracked coating on the above ground portion of my foundation. The Project Advisor who came to assess the project quoted me a "permanent" fix and found several other small things he recommended "fixing", and then a big recommendation followed to address a yard drainage issue. The petmanent fix turned out to be a piece of plastic sheeting haphazardly attached over the coating. The drainage solution did not resolve the issue and left the yard in worse shape than before. The other workmanship was also so extremely poor it defies description. The only thing worse was the follow up and communication afterwards. I attempted reach the PA numerous times and messages were not returned. When I finally did reach him, at his manager's instructions, he came to my home and took many pics and told me he would get back to me in a week. Weeks turned into months with no contact or response to repeated follow up requests. When I received a past due bill I immediately contacted AL and explained the situation. I received a response saying they would "investigate" and "reach out with a resolution". That was the last I heard from them until nearly a year later when I received a collection notice. I repeated all the above to the collection agency plus sent a letter to AL basically repeating my complaint. No response from them again, until now, 6 mos later, I received another p/d notice and threat to turn the account over for collection. AGAIN? This has been (and continues to be) among the worst, most unprofessional, incompetent organizations I have had the displeasure of working with. read more

After a very long wait, Acculevel sent 2 people out to replace a section of I-beam, wood shims with metal shims, and bring foundation up to "level" in a 9 foot section of home. The work was not even close to Kentucky Housing Code requirements, And the 2 individuals high-tailed it when I told them the jack they installed to bring the house up to level needed to come up another 2.5" to bring flooring to "Level." I've been trying -- in vain -- to reach project manager to ask them to make good on at least bringing home to "level" in center of home where kitchen cabinets are being placed. No response after repeated calls and an email to project manager. I am not laying groundwork for litigation, if necessary. All is wish at this point is for them to return and finish the job of bringing foundation to "level" at floor level so contractors can continue the renovations that have been halted because of Acculevel's failure to honor the contractual terms of contract -- one which is to bring the foundation/floor to "level," upon which their business model is based. If anyone has had similar non-responses, you are welcome to join me in litigation. Currently, they are in "breech of contract terms" with me. read more

After we paid half the price of a sump pump and battery backup system, Acculevel was unresponsive when we tried to get installation scheduled. Months and numerous messages from us later, we supposedly got on Acculevel's schedule. It was a relief this job was finally going to get done. We juggled work and medical appointments to be home during the 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. window the company gave us. Unfortunately, no one showed up that day, and they didn't let us know they weren't going to show up. At that point, we asked for a refund, and a representative told us a manager would contact us to walk us through that process. He never did. We followed up with an email about a week later -- and again -- heard nothing. About six months after we hired this company, we don't have the sump pump system, a refund or even a response from Acculevel. read more

Before hiring this company, please look at the complainant's on the Better Business Bureau Dont look at the reviews on Google We were in the process of selling our house Got an estimate, passed it on to the new buyer, they kept changing the original quote from $6,900 to $17,000 Then they fired one of their guys Used that excuse, didn't return phone calls Needless to say, the new owner did not go with this company! For all home sellers who want to make repairs before you sell, DO NOT use this company. They will take your money and leave your buyer with broken promises. Please read their "25 year transferable warranty" closely. Note that it says "at company's discretion" I just purchased a home where the previous owners paid $60k to have the basement and crawlspace encapsulated. After moving in I happened to go into the crawlspace area only to find water on top of the encapsulation. They came out, took a look and stated it would cost THOUSANDS more but wouldn't put it in writing. After a back in forth via email, I find out the crawlspaces aren't covered by the warranty. (Side note, you can only make a claim via snail mail. ) AND if you call in a different company to make repairs, it may void the warranty on the basement part of their "repair". What I've learned is; the companies I've contacted don't want to fix the problem AccuLevel knew they hadn't repaired. So you are basically left at the mercy of AccuLevel and ghosted. 0 out of 5 stars. read more

I have been failed heavily by this company. Requesting them out to lift my basement floors up. 30k job. Paid a 10k deposit to get credit rolling. First manager Austin rarely would respond my questions. To busy being a hipster I think. Second guy apparently his boss got assigned to me after I called company asking why Austin wasnt responding to me. Oh he moved out of state. That would have been nice to know. So now im with Chris and couple weeks ago mad3 an appointment to come out and speak with me see my issues. We'll day he scheduled. No showed. No call. I call Monday. He forgot. So now to today I was told again 2 days ago he would come out and FaceTime some people to build a solid plan. No show no call again. For a 30k project with a 10k down deposit sure isnt a good service let alone trustworthy enough to give this money. Someone needs to reach out to me in the company I want my money refunded job canceled and be done with this company. read more

Zero stars I just got off the phone with Lance H and Mike Rohlf and am extremely upset with how I was talked at and talked over. I signed a contract on September 14th to have five piers installed from inside the basement. There were two men here who assured me I would have a scheduled date within 7-10 business days. I made it known to the company when booking the appointment and also to the men who arrived for the quote that I was selling the home and on a time crunch. On day 10 I began asking when I will be scheduled and stated I needed a date no later than day 11. On day 11 I was told by my salesman that the job could not be completed per my contract. They instead would have to do some of the work from the outside of the home. This is not what I signed for. I made it known that I could not move pipes or plumbing to accommodate changes. I requested a refund. Now day 13, I just had Lance and his manager, Mike, very rudely talk over me and state that I am outside of the 72 hour cancellation window. Which, mind you, not a single person mentioned while sitting at my kitchen island and discussing their personal lives and having me sign a tablet while simultaneously running my credit. I have now asked numerous times to simply be refunded since the job cannot be completed per my contract drawing. They've known since day 1 that the bathroom they now consider an issue could not be moved. I have just been very very rudely talked to by Mike Rohlf who is stating my entire $5,000 is now theirs should I cancel. This is horrible. You've changed the project and I cannot accommodate those changes so you're just going to keep my money? No work has begun. I'm not even scheduled to begin. I called the finance company and there is no account under my name therefore that process has not begun either. I just want my $5,000 back and to be treated like a human. read more

Being new to Indiana, I called all the foundation companies I saw on TV or that popped up in my Facebook feed. Saying I was disappointed with the outcome would be putting it mildly. The salesmen that inspected my house were trying to push hard sales, far exceeding the work I needed done, and a couple were caught outright lying to me. My attempt to find an honest contractor, with the skills and work ethics to quote the work I was requesting and not the work they wanted to sell me, was extremely frustrating. By the time I called Acculevel, I was not the most pleasant person on the phone, telling the operator to not send me an unqualified salesperson. She assured me that would not be the case, but obviously, I didn't believe her. Luke was my salesperson who took the time to listen to what I was trying to do and what my concerns were. He also took the time to inspect my foundation, taking measurements and making a site diagram. Luke discussed his findings with me and presented my options. He, of course, gave his opinion but did not push me in any direction. He was the first salesperson that did not come across as full of ____, making me comfortable to sign a contract for work. Not being the trusting type, I was still apprehensive about the quality of the crew that would show up. Day of the repairs, Ruben and his crew showed up on time. They knew exactly what the plan was and arrived ready to work. Ruben's crew did an amazing job and accomplished the work far quicker than I was expecting. I'd like to thank Acculevel for sending Luke and Ruben. Should I need foundation or basement work next time I purchase a property, I won't be calling any contractor besides Acculevel. Thanks again for all your help. read more

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the abysmal communication, negligent workmanship, and deceptive practices I have experienced with Acculevel regarding my property located at [Insert Property Address, Illinois].As a military spouse currently stationed in Hawaii, I specifically sought out a contractor capable of professional remote project coordination. Instead, over the course of nearly two years, I have been subjected to high-pressure up-selling, false statements regarding municipal permits, incomplete installations that left my property vulnerable, and systemic ghosting by your staff. The expensive drain tile system you sold me completely failed to address the root cause of the water intrusion, which your own contractors have now recently admitted. Below is the documented timeline of your company's failure to deliver on its contractual obligations:The 2024 Botched Installation & Deceptive Practices:May 2024 (High-Pressure Sales): Your representative, Jerrell, aggressively pushed a $5,800 "special" if I used your finance company, claiming it was a "special that was given to us today". The total quotes presented fluctuated up to $6,900 for tying into existing tile. I trusted your team's assessment that this expensive system was the necessary solution. June 2024 (Permit Misrepresentation): While my basement actively flooded for weeks, Jerrell sent me unprofessional messages telling me that "it's not gonna hurry things up if you keep calling the office". He repeatedly blamed Will County for dragging their feet on Permit #2401340. However, when I proactively contacted the permit department myself to advocate for my home, the county informed me that they were actually waiting on Acculevel to update the scope of work. June 17-18, 2024 (Property Negligence): During the installation, your crew shut off the gas. They finished the job and left the property at 2:30 PM without notifying me. Even worse, they improperly removed the property's lockbox, meaning I could not grant access to anyone to safely turn the gas back on for my tenants. When I contacted Jerrell about this urgent safety and access issue, he dismissed me, stating, "We are at our big sales rally. I will be following up.". July 5, 2024 (Immediate Failure): Barely two weeks after installation, I sent Jerrell photographic proof that water was pooling in the exact same spot I originally reported. The July 2024 Refusal to Remediate:July 9 - 10, 2024: Following the July 5th failure, I raised concerns with Brenna regarding the poor inspection quality. Jackson was dispatched on July 10. Despite me showing him the water intruding from floor cracks in front of the HVAC, he insisted the HVAC was the issue and refused to act because there was standing water. I offered to coordinate a clean-up to coincide with his return visit. Instead of collaborating, he escalated to a manager and told me I had to speak with Ryan (Service Manager).July 10 & 16, 2024: Ryan (888-957-0215 / 866-950-0128) stated he would check if a drain tile would resolve the issue and promised to send an inspector out. No one ever called to schedule this.July 22, 2024: Braxton eventually came out and suggested installing drain tile "fingers." Acculevel continued to push expensive drain tile systems rather than doing due diligence to seal the obvious floor cracks where the water was visibly intruding. The 2026 Discovery of Incomplete Work:Spring 2026: Upon physically returning to the Illinois property, I discovered the drain tile installation I paid for was inexplicably separated. Your contractor created a drain tile along one wall running to one sump pump, and a separate, completely unconnected drain tile on the other side of a concrete wall running to a different pump. Water is still coming up around this wall.Recent Visit (Coy): Coy came out to inspect the ongoing issue. He completed his inspection, left the property without notifying me, and failed to call. Two days later, he texted me validating my original 2024 assessment, stating: "the other places are going to need some epoxy patching where the cracks are to seal it up so that water doesn't come through there."Ongoing Ghosting: Coy promised to send a quote for this patching--the cheapest, most logical step that Acculevel previously ignored. He never sent it. I have since called the main office repeatedly. A representative named Jody left me a single voicemail. I have called her direct line and the main office repeatedly, leaving multiple voicemails. No one has returned my calls.Acculevel has taken my money through high-pressure sales tactics, lied about permit delays, neglected my property's security (lockbox removal), installed a disconnected and ineffective drain system, ignored the actual source of the leak, and is now actively ghosting my calls.Demand for Resolution:I expect a call from a regional manager or corporate supervisor within three (3) business days of this letter to outline a remediation plan. read more

Do NOTHING. Sometimes it's better and a better indicator of a great company when they tell you there's nothing to do. Any company can spout a bunch of gobbledygook and try to schmooze their way into getting you to hire them to do stuff. But honestly, the best companies are the ones that will accurately assess your issue. Tell you what you do or do not need to do about it and go on their way. This is exactly how David Smith handled his visit recently. I asked to look at a corner of the house that was settling. He assessed it. Use the laser level. No problems with the technology. No problems talking clearly. He was a good salesperson and an excellent technician. However nothing was needed so even more importantly he was honest. I can't tell you how many times I've dealt professionally and personally with companies that do these kind of services. I was a residential home inspector looking at my mother's house. I saw settling in the Northeast corner. Only saw settling cracks throughout the house and saw a significant gap between the floorboards and the basement bedroom. However, at that point if I were doing an inspection for somebody I would say go get a professional. That's exactly what I did. I got a professional and I'm so glad that I chose the company that had the longest time in business. I would give them five stars everyday but clearly I do not have an issue or a need for their services. I cannot stress enough how important it is to find a company like this. Again, thank you David. I appreciate your succinct evaluation. 100% forthright honest jargon-filled assessment and recommendations for best next steps which in my case was honestly nothing. read more

Terrible Experience - Misdiagnosed Problem and Refused to Resolve It I've never dealt with a company as frustrating as this. Their so-called "foundation expert" completely misdiagnosed the issue of water entering my basement. After spending thousands of dollars on their proposed solution, the problem remained unresolved. Ironically, I ended up fixing the issue myself by implementing a simple solution I had initially suggested to their expert--but they dismissed it. When I informed Acculevel that their faulty diagnosis had cost me thousands of dollars, their response was essentially, "Well, you signed." Yes, I signed, trusting the expertise of their professional, which turned out to be a big mistake. I reached out to them numerous times, but all I got were empty promises. Manager Josh claimed the service department would follow up, but no one ever showed. I left multiple messages with no callback. To make matters worse, the team that performed the work left a hole in my wall with an exposed pipe leading outside and didn't even bother patching it. I now have an expensive sump pump sitting in the corner of my basement that hasn't run once in over a month, despite my area receiving over five inches of rain. Additionally, I couldn't help but notice that the workers may not be legal United States citizens, with one unable to speak English at all and another barely understandable. It made me question their employment practices. In the end, I'm left with a costly, useless setup and a basement that remains vulnerable. Save yourself the headache and avoid this company at all costs. This is not over. They don't get to just walk away with my money. read more

I try to be very fair to businesses and give multiple chances before I ever give something a bad review, but this is SUCH a terrible company, with the absolute worst customer service I have genuinely ever experienced. I can't speak to the other states that they service, but if you live in MI, DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. They were hired for a $24k basement encapsulation and new support posts. that they quoted me for. After 3 site visits over a year and a half they told me I had to remove the floor in my house if I wanted them to be able to do the job. I DID remove the floor this March, and when they showed up, they told me the space couldn't be encapsulated. They put in the supports and jusy put in a dehumidifier that supposedly had a warranty. Flash forward less than three months and I realize the dehumidifier is not working, but backing up and leaking from the bottom into a puddle of standing water. The crawl space is now ironically DAMPER than it was before the project, and I also have to live with only plywood subfloor that Habitat for Humanity put in for me. (They wouldn't replace the flooring) since I can't afford to put flooring back in. On top of that they ABSOLUTELY REFUSE to answer the phone or call me back to fix the "easy fix" problem of the dehumidifier. (Pictures of the conversation attached.) I have been trying for 2 months to get someone here for this "quick fix" and I have had 2 no shows. (One didn't even call) and now they refuse to respond back. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They will take you over the coal for money and do a terrible incomplete job, then refuse to help you fix anything. read more

I can only speak to my experience and not others, my experience with Acculevel was excellent. From the first phone call and response for quote, Acculevel was the only company that responded out of 8 calls to contractors in the Ann Arbor area. I can't thank the company enough for the job they did. The scheduling of the onsite project advisor was on time to get me the analysis and the quote. The scheduling manager called and committed to a day and time and they showed up exactly when they said. The schedule from signing the contract and work starting was quicker than expected, I think 2 1/2 weeks most and I had to scramble. I needed helical piers installed to save a load bearing porch wall. Everything went as well until a unique discovery in my yard that nobody could have foreseen. Acculevel grabbed my attention, with their engineers, and a solution was formulated within the hour. It's a story that they can only tell as it was unique. There were no surprises for me other than what we had to deal with that one "what is that" moment. The project advisor and the lead installer had briefed me on potential cost increases (i.e. if they need to go down beyond the standard pier length to hit bedrock) but I didn't have any cost overruns on my job. I also appreciate the time the seasoned installer took with mentoring a younger employee, that's leadership and refreshing to see. I'm happy with their work. read more

A house I just bought had significant foundation work previously, and a structural engineer suggested some maintenance repairs to further reinforce the foundation and keep water out. Acculevel applied carbon straps with floor joist blocking, sealed cracks in the foundation block, buried downspouts, raised and resealed my patio (which had previously sunk several inches toward the house), and completed work in my crawlspace. It was very easy to schedule the initial estimate, work took place two days later, and they sent someone out to inspect the repairs within two weeks of completion. I was very pleased with the whole process--from the initial consultation, proposal, and explanation of the repairs to the completion of the job. It was not inexpensive, but I feel like it was a worthy investment to maintain the integrity of my home's foundation. read more

Matt was up front about the cost and understood our policy to obtain estimates from 3 companies before proceeding with work in our home. He itemized the estimate and explained the procedure and warranty. He was pleasant to work with! He did not require an hour of my time or insist that both my husband and I be present in order to give us a sales pitch. The price was competitive and not inflated to cover marketing expenses. I like that the company is family owned & local, and that the workers are employees, not sub-contractors. The men who did the work were efficient and we have had no water in our basement since the waterproofing was done. I believe the contractors who followed Acculevel's work were a little surprised at the materials used, and they had to adjust their plans somewhat, but all is good in the end. Thank you! read more

The job was completed and I'm a happy customer. I needed an additional sump pump pit installed to supplement my existing as we get a heavy flow of water at our house and have had some wet carpets in the past. The crew had great attention to workmanship and were all excellent inside the house and outside being very careful to not disturb any underground lines. In fact, from my first call to the company with Crystal, then sales with Matt and his boss who came out, they really listened and understood my concerns and needs, then Jeremy with the scheduling and follow up. Everyone has been top drawer. Dare I say, let it rain! Thanks again for an excellent customer experience and value in the product you delivered. I highly recommend this company. read more

From the quotation process through the end of the job, Acculevel was very responsive. Based on my needs and the different levels of service they offered, I took a fairly long time to make a decision. The individual I was working with was very patient through this process and was responsive to questions I had while going through the process. The work underneath our home is very clean the end of the highest quality. They showed up when they said they would and it was completed when they said it would be. I had Acculevel perform major crawl space and foundation work on my home back in 2008. Earlier this spring, after the clouds opened and rain fell for several days, I noticed standing water in my crawl space. I contacted Acculevel and a rep stopped by my home, found the problem to reside in a stubborn sump pump, and instructed me how to maintain its operation. This visit cost me nothing! Since becoming a homeowner in 1989, I've had multiple contractors and service personnel perform work for me, Acculevel ranks #1 in making me happy. I only wish that all service contractors took as much pride in their work and interest in their customers as Acculevel does. read more

We couldn't be more pleased with the entire experience. We were sold the job that remedied our situation and nothing more. No high pressure/fear based sales. Thank you Sage. The crew was prompt, respectful, efficient and executed their tasks with minimal disruption and mess. That is a feat when using a jack hammer and carrying out buckets of earth/concrete! Thank you Rubin and Juan. We secured 3 bids by three companies. Acculevel was by far the most reasonable. We have thus far had a couple weather events that normally would have produced some seepage. This is one of my rare positive experiences with regard to home repairs. My basement was leaking like crazy from 3 different spots. I got four estimates to address the situation.
