We had a challenging experience with Bone Dry. We initially approached them in early August to repair damage on our roof. An estimator promptly came out to assess the damage, give us a quote, and schedule the job. The quote came back quickly, and we approved it. But then they went silent. Our roof has a "non-standard" ornamental pattern shingle, so it took them some time to find a close-enough match. But they sent no updates as the process unfolded. I had to constantly chase the team for updates. They repeatedly responded "oh, let me check and get back to you right away." Then, nothing. For weeks. I would call again. "Let me get right back" and ... silence. And the rain kept coming, and the roof kept leaking and we thought they forgot about us. They finally got us on the schedule in October. Workers moved quickly and repaired certain areas with good workmanship and care. I expected them to repair more than they did. For what they did, it was incredibly overpriced. Worked out to over $300 per replaced shingle. Most of the cost was in the lift-rental because of our 3-story home. They did not have a long-enough ladder. They repeatedly hounded me to do this review, sending multiple calls, text messages, and emails. I didn't want to write a bad review, but this is an honest and straightforward accounting of my experience with Bone Dry. I hope my bad experience is not a common outcome for most people. They're probably good for "ordinary" home roofing needs, but they fumbled the ball on my job. read more

I highly recommend Bone Dry Roofing! I hired them once about 6 years ago to replace the roof on my house and detached garage. They also added insulation to the house at the time and repaired some siding on my garage. Not only were they pretty much the ONLY company that would return my call, but they were prompt getting a quote to me, had everything done in one day, and left zero trace that they were even there. Not even a single nail was found on the ground. They were also quite affordable. I had a roofing company hired previously and they wanted $2,000 more than Bone Dry but they started to seem pretty shady so at the first mention of contacting an attorney, they released me from my contract... Bone Dry was a breath of fresh air with how they worked with me and their professionalism. Earlier this year, I also hired them for work on my gutters. Again, they were quick returning my call and prompt getting a quote to me. The work was completed but there was a bit of an issue. It wasn't understood that another part of my gutter was being repaired because it wasn't put on the work order (they were only going to add caulking on an S bend to try to fix a leak) but someone else ended up doing the repairs and didn't realise that needed done too. He came back within a day or two and I've had no issues since. I will only ever call Bone Dry for any other repairs. read more

We've been working with Bone Dry for a few months now preparing for a lot of changes to our home. They were so patient with me as I changed my mind on colors, and jobs, and so on. Yesterday they came to my house at 8 A.M. to install my roof. They were very thorough making sure to protect my house while they did the work. I received step by step photos and progress as they completed it. It was so nice to be a part of the process and see the changes, even though I couldn't be there to watch it. I am completely disappointed in the work that Bone Dry Roofing did in my home. My wife and I bought a home in December and the previous home owners had Bone Dry do repairs on the skylight in the kitchen. In February, the skylight sprung a leak and caused dry wall damage inside the attic and kitchen ceiling. I called Bone Dry because they had done the work in the first place. The worker came out and talked a bunch of crap about whoever did the work previously because it was improperly done. He had to back track when I informed him that Bone Dry had actually done the work. Bone Dry agreed to make the repairs for free since they had made the wrong repairs originally. Several weeks passed and a worker came and "fixed" the skylight. It rained again and the damage got even worse. Bone Dry came out a second time and this time they said that the worker who did the repair the second time didn't do it correctly and there was even more damage inside. After several weeks of going back and forth trying to get things scheduled, they finally replaced the whole skylight. They only get one star because they replaced the skylight and hired a third party company to repair the drywall. This was a 3 month mess with several calls to their management and running in circles with them. Maybe we just caught them at a bad time, but I will never do business with Bone Dry Roofing ever again. read more

Bone Dry Roofing put on a new roof for me today. They arrived around 7:30 am and were done with the whole thing by 6 pm. And I have to tell you the house they did for me involved some real challenges -- it had original wood shake shingles under the one and two layers of tar paper shingles. There as also a porch roof that had some bad rot, and a side room that had a very low slant, so had been at risk for leaking. They had maybe a six or eight or so person crew and they flew at the job. First they tore off all the shingles, including the old wood shake type shingles. Then they put new decking down on the whole roof. Finally they put on the roofing, including special water seal material on the two areas that were sort of flat. As they went along they cleaned up the old shingles off the ground, hauling them away in their big truck. When they had a "walk thru" with me when they were all done, the ground was spotless -- no sign of a shingle or nail. They had combed the whole area with giant magnets to get all the nails up. I think they are a family-owned business from here in Indiana, and I like supporting outfits that are not national chains. They are out of Lafayette. During the time they were working on my house, they sent me little slide shows of and descriptions of how it was going. It was a really nice touch. The guys I worked with were Tim who was my main contact for this job, and Scott who was the contact guy on the job site. They were super good workers, and just hustled all day. They were friendly and professional and listened to my ideas about what I wanted. This house was a rental house we have, but I will use them in the future on any house I need a roof for. I would highly recommend them. read more

Contacted them based on quite a few reviews found elsewhere. They came out and inspected my roof and attic. Once he gathered all information he needed he walked me through the entire process from quote to finish. I had 3 companies quote the job and I ended up going with this one based on a significant difference in price but all promised to stand behind their product and labor for similar amounts of time. They missed the original scheduled date for the roof install but they called ahead a few days before and warned us they were running behind due to weather. When they arrived they were fast, efficient, and professional. Laid tarps over the landscaping and after the job was done ran magnets around the house to pick up stay nails. If I didn't have a new roof I wouldn't have known someone had been there. I will recommend them to friends and family. read more

Had Bone Dry rebuild our chimney due to leaking and rot. Took a while for them to get to it, due to the hail storm on the south side of town, but the work was done well, the workers were courteous, trim was repainted to match, and cleanup was done..
