They covered the hard wood floors and were boot covers. He did three closets in about 5 hours. It made it seem simple but the hard work is completed in his shop. the cutting to fit and building the prior to installing to make sure everything is a go! So by time he's onsite it's no issues! Andrew walked us through the process and we couldn't be more happy! I highly recommend! Next job is our kitchen island. Thanks for a great job.

From the beginning, we never intended to work with Andrew on a full kitchen remodel. This is why we…read morehad him revise the original contract, explicitly changing the scope from a full remodel to strictly non-buildable design development. We hired him and his designer solely to draft the plans. We had no obligation to move forward with remodel portion of our project. The "time and materials pre-construction work" was supposed to reflect the non-buildable design details discussed 3 separate time including at our group meeting with the designer. The plans delivered didn't match the design elements we talked about several times for the "time and materials" contract. Andrew describes the design process, "He'll (speaking of the engineer) likely want to take that (plans that Andrew's designer creates) and do a site visit as well to specify the required beams/posts." So he was very aware that we wanted the beams and post redone and mocked up the plans. "(Andrew's designer) will build the model on her computer while we're there and we can talk through it and see it as we iterate on design decisions." Which didn't happen but we were flexible and assumed we didn't need to micromanage the mock up and they would act on good faith to deliver the plans with the details we discussed. Andrew isn't being honest here - We emailed 3 times and talked to him on the phone to state that we would provide feedback and address invoice as soon as possible for we had a family issue come up. We paid the invoice less than 2 months after you sent the invoice - Invoice sent 9/11 and paid 11/7. By email, he stated he can be somewhat flexible with payment dates. As well as on the invoice it states "no rush on our end". By not disputing the quality of the delivered work, Andrew clearly acknowledges that the blueprints lack the detailed specifications we repeatedly outlined in three separate meetings. Rather than correct the errors with integrity, he intended to charge an additional 7.5 hours just to fix mistakes in the original plans. That's unacceptable--we hired Andrew to deliver the correct plans from the start, not to pay extra for what was already agreed upon. We just want to receive the plans we discussed so we can move forward and update our review to a amicable experience.

He is an excellent craftsman who clearly takes pride in his work and approached the project with the utmost care and thoughtfulness. I feel like he would have used the same level of attention on his own home as he did while working on ours. In general he was just a lovey human being to work with and a joy to have around! We wouldn't hesitate to ask him back and we recommend him highly with zero reservations. I absolutely agree with all of the many positvie things that people have said in the reviews here. I'm so happy we found him! Thank you so much Erik, we truly appreciate you!

We felt that he had the best plan on how to tackle the project and took into consideration the historic nature of the home as well as our concerns around designing the rebuild to use materials that would age well over time while while also maintaining the house's historical character. Erik was awesome to work with -- he kept in touch throughout the project, finished on time and on budget, and the end product looks amazing. Honestly, we were sad when the project was finished because he's also just a really cool, fun person to have around. We will definitely be hiring him again the next time we have a need for a contractor. Can't recommend him highly enough.

After calling and meeting with several contractors and companies in the area we settled with Attar at Pacific West Homes & Renovations. Attar immediate stood out as both responsive and knowledgeable regarding our various needs. We recently completed a repair in our home and I am happy to say that our experience was very positive. From the initial quote, scheduling the work, and follow up Attar has been attentive through the whole process. The work was completed to budget and on time. Additionally, we had some questions a few days after our work was completed and Attar responded immediately. This is especially telling about their company ethics. Many services will have delayed response times or require chasing after payment has been made against a project. I definitely recommend Attar and Pacific West Homes & Renovations for your home improvements needs.

We contracted with Attar and had high hopes. He wrote a time and materials contract, but we told…read morehim we had a pretty tight budget for our tub remodel and he said he thought we could do the work within the dollar amount we gave him. He was very slow and ran us way over budget (he essentially billed us 89.00 per hour to put in tile, and he seriously billed us for 48 hours of tile work to put in 45 pieces of 12x24 tile). When we would ask for estimates to finish, he gave an estimate, and then took twice as long as his estimate. When we confronted him, he literally said, it's time and materials, it is what it is. We finally had him stop work when he was close to 50% over our original estimate (and he STILL wasn't finished). The final quality of work was so bad, we had to hire a new contractor and have all the tile torn out and start over. Be careful!

It was a pretty big job and was kind of expecting it to be a hassle based on past experiences I've had with other contractors, but this one actually went super smooth start to finish. From the first visit they gave off a solid vibe. Straightforward about what would be done and what kind of timeline to expect. I didn't feel like they were trying to upsell or talk in circles like some others do. Once the work started they kept that same energy. showed up when they said they would and stayed on track. I've had jobs before where people just vanish for days or don't say anything when things change, but with these guys, I always knew what was happening. Communication was probably one of the best parts. They'd actually check in and give me heads up if something needed a decision or if a delivery was running late. I made a couple last minute changes during the process (moved a light, swapped a fixture, small stuff) and they didn't act like it was a huge issue. they just worked it in and kept moving. no drama. Quality wise everything turned out great. the tile work in the shower is super clean, no uneven edges or grout lines. cabinets lined up perfectly, paint was solid. You can tell they actually care about doing it right. Price wise, they weren't the cheapest quote i got but definitely not the highest either. and after seeing how it all turned out, the value was totally there. no sketchy surprises on the invoice either, which I appreciate. Overall just a really good experience. they made a big renovation feel low stress and everything turned out. Will100% recommended them to a couple friends.

The project was largely cosmetic -- no relocation of plumbing aside from the shower pipes in the master -- but we did remove everything and replace it new. I was responsible for purchasing most fixtures (vanities, mirrors, lighting, faucets, etc) while Alex showed me available finishes (tile) at his showroom over on the eastside and brought those to the jobsite. While it was daunting searching all of the internet for those elements, I did like having that level of control with the design. Keep that in mind, though, if you are NOT comfortable making styling decisions. Alex communicated so well with me and my husband and among his subcontractors too. We were never surprised by a schedule change or an unexpected absence. Julia, who runs the office, also was quick about making updates to paperwork and replying to my questions. Compared to other bids for the project, Alex's pricing was the most competitive and I feel totally satisfied with the value we paid. Without a doubt will ask him to bid on our next big remodel. Ultimately our projects ended on time: one full month from start to finish. Although the first half of the reno ran a little long, Alex and his team made up time with the second half to meet the firm deadline (houseguests).

They did something wrong, and the shower leaked very very slowly until it finally became clear that it needed repair. They came and looked at it and incorrectly guessed that our problems were caused by settling. They then ghosted me. We hired a different contractor to do the $40K repairs. I repeatedly asked Leitner to help defray some of this cost. They hid behind their warranty, essentially saying that because it was a slow leak, too much time had passed and they refused to help. It should have lasted longer than 5 years!!! Who else's fault could this be? I guess it's my fault for trusting Leitner. I urge Yelpers to not make the same mistake I made.
