I have been going to Access Physical Therapy & Wellness for over 2 years. The staff is great; very concerned about your welfare. I now have the use of my left arm. I can now bend my elbow, raise my wrist and move my fingers. I still have a long way to go. Physical therapy and occupational is the only place where they cause you pain. Then you have to cause yourself pain by doing what they showed you. Then you smile, say thank you and I'll see you tomorrow. I just recently had my second lower back surgery and went to Ivy for PT for a foot drop issue due…read moreto nerve damage. My Neurosurgeon specifically wrote no lumbar or core PT on the order, and this was discussed with Matthew during my evaluation, so he gave me things to do at home to help my foot strength. A few days later during my 1st PT session with Matthew, he had me do core work, which was not the plan and was not approved by my doctor. Then about halfway through my appt. Daniel (who never introduced himself) came over and asked me to do more core work which I refused to do since my surgery was only 9 days ago at the time. He then had me put a tension band around my knees and asked me to do side steps. I asked, "how is this helping my drop foot" and Daniel asked me if I had hip surgery. This kid literally didn't even know why I was there and what type of surgery I had or what my issues were. To me that is very irresponsible for a physical therapist to be advising a patient when they don't even know what the issues are. Advocate for your health !!! I was contacted by Matthew to discuss my issues after he read this review and was told Daniel isn't even a licensed physical therapist.
