Anthony and the Orange PTSMC team are great! They've helped me address some chronic sports injuries that are much better now vs. when I first began going. All staff members are extremely professional and responsive, time is always taken to address my individual needs/concerns. I am a younger person who goes for more sports related injuries, I see a good mix of older and younger clients as far as I can tell (certainly more older patients, though). Never had a bad experience and all the PT's I've worked with have been great. I've been to several PT offices in Boston (before moving to CT) and I have to say that I feel much more attended by the PT's at Orange PTSMC vs. other places I've been - often it felt like the staff at other offices are juggling patients or completing work while I was doing exercises by myself that I probably could have done at home. I've never felt that way at Orange PTSMC. The Orange PTSMC staff are friendly but their primary focus is on their patients/clients. Again, could not recommend more highly. read more

Had my first visit today at Orange physical therapy was a little nervous being the first time that I ever had to have it done it went well everyone there seems so nice I work with A young lady named Mary she was concerned and caring and very friendly when I went there I was in a lot of pain she was patient with me she kept asking me if I was in any pain we can stop I told her that I was good they came highly recommended by my cousin Pauline Blair who also went there so if I can recommend anyone that needs physical therapy this is the place to go they are great so I've been there twice I made my appointment with Mary so like I said I highly recommend this place (Ruth Hasbrouck) I can only read them five stars on this but if I can rate them they got stars from me thanks for everything read more

Tremendous Family owned and operated practice. I had a full knee replacement mid-April and today I can bend the knee over 90 degrees and can walk 1/2 mile. Looking forward to the mile walk in a couple of weeks as I haven't walked a mile in over 5 years. Thank you Aaron and team! read more

My name is Dexter McAllister James, I selected Orange Physical therapy because they are one of the few places that treat children under two years of age. I first called the office on Dec 28,2015 to schedule an appointment for my son for the new year. I asked the young man if there was anything that I need before the appointment and he told me no. So my appointment was schedule for Jan 8, 2016. I was contacted on Jan 7 to the confirm the appointment by a Chelsea Derych. Who I asked if I needed to bring anything else to the office, she replied that I only need to bring my son's insurance card. On Jan 8, 2016 at 11:30, Chelsea Derych contacted me again. She stated that she needed my son insurance number, I gave her the number and ask if I needed anything else. She said no. My fiance and I drove an hour and half to the office for the appointment. We get to the office to the office at 405 pm and Chelsea Derych says we need a referral from the Doctor. My Fiance ask if she could call the Doctor to get one, was told no. Because they could call the doctor's office and get one faxed. We proceed to the back to change my son's diaper, then after thirty minutes I went back to the front desk. I was told by Chelsea Derych, that the doctor's office was called and the referral was being faxed. We waited another forty-five minutes, during which we met Mrs.Cheryl Greene and Mr. Nick Melendez. Who seem to be the only two professionals in the office. They were trying to mediate the situation, seem to have interest in our problem. However the couldn't change the situation because they were only physical therapy assistants and not the business manager. So at 5:15 pm, the business manager comes in to speak to us, Mrs. Annette Fitzgerald. She proceeds to go directly to my fiancee and say that the didn't get a note from the doctor's office because it was closed. We would have to reschedule to make another appointment. First of all you don't need a Doctor's note to see a PT in New York state, secondly her office takes payments. I wasn't even offered if I liked to pay. If I drove an hour and half to get my son treatment, I think I would pay for his screening. The other point that bothered me was she talked to my girlfriend in a condescending manner. She completely left me out of the conversation, even though I made the appointment and was speaking to Chelsea. I wonder why, maybe because my fiancee was Caucasian and I'm African-American. Did she feel I was intellectual not able to handle the situation. My whole experience was ridiculous. read more

I want to start off by saying that I am a physical therapist. My mother attended this place following her knee replacement. Unfortunately she lives 2 hrs from me so she was not able to attend the clinic I supervise. I was absolutely horrified at her evaluation. The therapist spent very little time evaluating her knee and did not discuss a plan of care, or my mother's goals for treatment. Elana, the physical therapist who evaluated her and owner of the clinic was constantly interrupted during her pitiful eval. The therapist did not even take girth measurements to monitor swelling over the course of her treatment and no strength measurements were taken on initial evaluation. My mother is an extremely active downhill skier and cyclist and her goals for rehab were to get back to these activities. When I question the treatment plan I was told that this was their protocol and it has been very successful. When we left I begged my mother to go to another physical therapy place, but she was reluctant to change and my biggest regret is not being more forceful for her to change. We had her second follow-up with the surgeon who is extremely unhappy with her lack of extension and flexion, as my mother on her first follow-up was making excellent progress. When I questioned my mother I learned that she had had several different therapists, no one had re-educated her on her exercise program on each visit, and they had done very little manual therapy to improve her motion. She often did her exercises by herself without the guidance of the physical therapist. One of first things I requested at her initial appointment was that she stay with the same therapist as I understand continuity of care is a major factor in a patient's rehabilitation. We are now looking for another clinic. Do not go to this clinic, as they are an embarrassment to the field at physical therapy. read more
