With motivate this wasn't the case at all. Christine worked with me the entire time while I was there for each session. She explained things very well and watched me doing the exercises to ensure they were done correctly. Well after a month my shoulder impingements were significantly better and I am now able to do certain motions that hurt in the past pain free. Today I went and she got my jaw to open double the amount they could even open under anesthesia!! I have never had it open this much in 25 yrs!! She really is amazing!!!! I have been going to Access Physical Therapy & Wellness for over 2 years. The staff is great; very concerned about your welfare. I now have the use of my left arm. I can now bend my elbow, raise my wrist and move my fingers. I still have a long way to go. Physical therapy and occupational is the only place where they cause you pain. Then you have to cause yourself pain by doing what they showed you. Then you smile, say thank you and I'll see you tomorrow. I never leave reviews, but it bears communicating: One of the staff members at the desk gave me…read moreincorrect information (that NY State mandates 10 appts without a referral- that isn't true!), and when I tried to decode that she decided to argue with me continuously (including giving more incorrect info) AND literally took the opportunity to call a bunch of people and speak badly of me in FRONT of me at the office- only some of it was in English, I can only imagine what she was saying otherwise. I just called again (there aren't many PTs covered around me), and she again took the opportunity to argue instead of make up for her mistake. At this point I feel there's no chance of receiving quality care here, specifically because of her attitude. If I went here, I'd also have to see her- and she makes me so uncomfortable I'm deciding not to receive care. Incorrect info aside, it's the willingness to fight and put me down that really disturbed me. I think she's the sister of the owner, so expect her to be there a long time. Finally, IF I had listened to her incorrect information I would be on the hook for out of pocket PT (she kept insisting I could come in without a referral, even though my insurance told both of us that wasn't the case.) I hope the practice takes this review seriously-- I'd like to think that at least the PTs take their oath not to do harm seriously.

I was injured got prescription for pt originally booked a appt at another place earliest app one…read moremonth away a friend told me about becks called them got a earlier appt cancelled first one with the other place the day before my appt with beck's received a call from them that the therapist is out sick (highly contagious) next appt two weeks away (I was not at home and forgot the time) I called them numerous times no answer no answer the day of the appt called multiple times no answer /no callback (to check appt time) showed up thinking it was at 2 pm arrived 140 no receptionist a rude male came out and I explained to him and he said the receptionist isn't here you'll have to call back later your appt was at 1 pm ( they open at 1) I explained I e called n called no one answers he said oh well you'll have to call back I explained I have been in pain for a month and a half he didn't care one bit . I never received any text/call other than when they cancelled my first appt on the 13 th of March and have been unable to reach them . That and the rudeness and lack of empathy for my situation I would never use this place . Called another place called access who were more than helpful and got me a appt in a week. This Review is for people that are in pain and in need of Physical Therapy I'm Recommending that…read morethey go to Beck Physical Therapy because I went there myself for my back and neck pain so I know first hand how the Staff of Beck Physical Therapy does their jobs and how they treat the people that they are working with. If you have been in any kind of accident or had surgery for whatever reason go to Beck you won't be SORRY that you went. The first time that you go you will have to fill out paperwork and then you will be evaluated and then they will come up with what you will have to do with a staff member helping you with the Physical Therapy right for you sometimes they will have you lifting very small weights and doing arm exercises for an amount of time. Then you would switch to a stationary bike to do exercises for your legs for another amount of time. Then you would be doing exercises with a ball bending and lifting with your feet with the ball also for an amount of time. then depending you would either get either heat or ice to wherever your pain is and also for another amount of time it definitely is a workout on the road to recovery. TO ALL OF THE THERAPISTS OF BECK PHYSICAL THERAPY THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DO TO HELP PATIENTS SEE THAT ROAD OF RECOVERY IN FRONT OF THEM!!!! THAT'S SO IMPORTANT!!!!

Additionally, the office is really conveniently located, right off of 84 and 87, take your pick, and right across from the Newburgh Mall and other shopping. Finally, Jeroen Keessen, the head doctor there seems to be magic in what he can do. He is brilliant at his work with the best understanding of body mechanics of anyone I have ever met, and I've met a lot of doctors. It is a wonder that some national rodeo team hasn't stolen him away from us, but he likes it here in the Hudson Valley. Incidentally, if you didn't know he was in medicine, you might assume he was a Dutch rock star or celebrity. It's not at all a bad thing to be treated by handsome, vigorous people! I will start my review in stating I'm making it in 2 parts. The first part I'll discuss the actual…read moretherapists & I'll save the staff for last. I brought my daughter here as she's a year round athlete who injured herself. The therapists got to know her very quickly, worked well with her and she made a good recovery under their care. They were pleasant, always asked questions to determine if she was just being lazy (lol) that day or actually having issues in the recovery process. If it was purely just the therapy staff that I had to deal with I would bring her back again if the need ever arose. The support staff however I was very unhappy with. Starting witty the insurance verification process. They proceeded to quote benefits that were not mine. They demanded full payment up front for visits when my whole family has 2 insurances that they are listed as in network in for both. I have worked for healthcare insurance for all of my adult life and if I didn't know what I was doing I surely would have paid ouut of pocket for services that my daughter was more than covered for. In addition they were very mean about the entire ordeal. Not to mention that the practice at the time was very busy & it's hard to get an appt that's not weeks away. Sadly, when I had surgery a while after I chose to just use crystal run therapy. I would have loved to go someplace closer to home but not at this cost. It took him a few more minutes to make an adjustment and I was a new person! With weekly sessions and daily home exercises I have gained strength and support and have not had any problems.
