Today, March 18, 2026 I schedule a ride for them to the hospital. My appointment is for 10 o'clock. They were supposed to pick me up at 9:02. It's now 1009. Chronic lateness, no communication, rude reception, and absolutely no accountability. Not once have they arrived on time. Many times they never arrived at all. Because of their negligence, my parent has missed medical visits, been forced to wait hours with no updates, and even been turned away from appointments because they caused them to miss the scheduled slot. I have had to step in, rearrange appointments, and send my own Uber because they simply did not show. The final incident sealed it. They were scheduled to pick up my parent and never came. Forty five minutes past pickup we were told they had no driver and were still "locating one." They never called back. Hours later, for the return trip, they still had no driver. This level of carelessness is unacceptable for anyone, especially individuals with medical needs who depend on reliable transportation. This review comes from both a personal and professional standpoint. I work in communications within the healthcare field. Reliability and transparency matter. Communication matters. Professionalism matters. This company consistently demonstrates the opposite. Their Yelp rating under two stars already reflects these issues. Their pattern of rude and defensive replies to customer reviews on Google supports it too. I have attached their response to my Google review for anyone who needs further proof of how they speak to the very patients they are supposed to serve. A simple apology and a willingness to look into the matter would have prevented the complaints I'm filing against them. Instead they doubled down, so I will too. I will leave honest reviews on every platform available and I will submit formal complaints through every appropriate channel. And those complaints will reach the right desks because I work in healthcare and communications. Public relations is literally what I do. I know exactly where and how to escalate issues like this. However, Cathay showed up as scheduled, and the gentlemen who arrived were very courteous, professional, and careful with my mother. Dispatch was also very responsive prior to the arrival. I will say that they almost had to cancel the ride because they were unable to communicate with the insurance company. In my opinion, the patient shouldn't have to be inconvenienced by an issue like that. Once the service is booked, the details should already be finalized between the transportation company and the insurance provider. On the return trip from the appointment, it appeared that dispatch had provided the drivers with a different address, which caused a slight delay. Thankfully, the driver called to confirm the correct address, and the issue was quickly resolved. Overall, I want to thank Units 154 and 151 for providing such pleasant and courteous service. Despite the minor issues, I appreciate their professionalism and would consider using Cathay again for future appointments.

Once the driver left her she got really bad nerves and started to get a panic attack and had to come back upstairs to the house.
