    Lobster linguine and seafood sampler
    Kirsten H.

One of the few places on Sorrento that has amazing food! You won't be disappointed. Service: 10/10 Price : 10/10 Food: 10/10

Seafood sampler- I forget the actual name from the menu.

Found this restaurant through Yelp and it did not disappoint. My husband and I sat inside for dinner after a long and hot day climbing Mt. Vesuvius and wanted some fresh seafood. We both had the seafood sampler entree which included grilled octopus, squid, sea bass, tuna, prawns, and another prawn-like creature. They were all very tasty, particularly the octopus and squid. I've never been a huge octopus fan until Sorrento! Everything tasted very fresh and light- no heavy oil or seasoning- which I liked. Wait staff was very friendly- I found everyone in Sorrento to be extremely friendly! For dessert. I had their tiramisu, which was not great since it was more of a cookies and cream flavor with no amaretto-soaked ladies fingers that I am used to. I did enjoy the wine recommendation. The interior was very nice and the atmosphere seemed to have a casual/fine dining vibe. Pretty place and good food.

A hidden gem in a tourist town. My group needed a place to eat last minute and came across this restaurant. I got the caprese salad, bolognese, and we enjoyed a Castel Giocondo brunello. Everything I had was perfect. The bolognese seemed to be a hit. Not everyone at my table fully enjoyed their meal but overall we were very happy and pleased. The service was great, the team seemed happy and were on top of taking care of us. The vibes were nice and my favorite part was walking to the bathroom and seeing one of the chefs dancing at the end of the night... that's when you know your staff is happy. Thank you for a great meal!

Pasta with vongole and pistachio pesto
    Carla D.

We had our first dinner while in Sorrento at this restaurant located on the main strip. We started off our dinner with the burrata, artichoke and cherry tomatoes appetizer. The cheese was ok, mild and creamy. We had two pastas for our main entrées and both really fell short for us. The boar ragù pasta I ordered was flavorful but it barely had any meat in it. My husband had the pasta with vongole which was served with a rather non traditional pistachio pesto. While we appreciated the innovation, the pesto didn't go that well with the clams, it didn't highlight or bring out the seafood flavor instead all we could taste was the pesto. The best dish from our entire meal however was the whole fish which we ordered cooked all'acqua pazza. It was so moist, tender and juicy. We definitely enjoyed it and couldn't get enough of it. It was one of the best fish dishes we had while on our trip. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially in helping us select the wines to pair with our food, however they were a bit slow to come and take our order perhaps because they got so busy and a bit overwhelmed with the volume of people that came in to the restaurant soon after us.

    Fettuccine with clams

This spot was recommended to us by our hotel concierge at Boutique Helios. We opted for outside patio seating to people watch along the main drag. The wait staff was very professional and courteous, they checked up on us frequently, but in a manner that was not intrusive. The grilled octopus appetizer was incredible, with a bell pepper puree that paired beautifully. I also had the fettuccine with clams, very light on the sauce, but excellent in flavor. My wife also had the tortellini which was stuffed with shrimp, and served in a delicious pumpkin sauce with roasted tomatoes. Only the first stop on our four night stay, but definitely a must try for anyone visiting Sorrento!

My daughter and I love this place! Best food on our Italy trip. Slightly pricy but great quality and decent sized portions (if not "American" style). Highly recommend.

This is one of the best restaurants in Sorrento! It may look like a regular place to eat but after you taste the food you will be back! Everything was very good and fresh. We are definitely coming back tomorrow. The service also great and they're all so nice!

We wanted seafood because when in Sorrento...why not opt for super fresh seafood right by the coast?! Our server recommended a really delicious local red that was super reasonably priced and we enjoyed with said red: For Primi -- *Gnocchi alla sorrentina (Sorrento-style Gnocchi): I mean...we kinda had to get a regional specialty right? Gnocchi here is potato based instead. It was SO delicious - still perfect texture. They also served this HOT HOT HOT with melty cheese. So delicious and a really generous portion!! *Spaghettoni alle vongole (Pasta with Clams): Another favorite for us in general so figured a really fresh version could be stellar and it didn't disappoint! This slightly edged out the gnocchi for me flavor-wise, but the gnocchi was dang good so it just goes to show how DELISH this was!!! For Secondi -- *Grigliata mista di pesce (mixed grilled fish - this was an incredible plate of such fresh seafood. There was various fish, a giant prawn, octopus alll grilled & seasoned to perfection! *Swordfish special! -- apparently it was swordfish season and it was a 'fresh catch' and I feel like you could tell! Really lovely and nicely seasoned. Portions were very generous & we were way too full for dessert at this point! So you could probably eat more "American" style here (Just 1 entree instead of our approach), but the menu here is pretty stellar!!!

I had been bit by a crab a number of times at Amalfi earlier in the day. I decided to return the favor and had the excellent crab with squid ink pasta. Added a second course of a local fish with cherry tomatoes, also delicious. Family enjoyed their dinner as well.

Not only was it a wonderful surprise to end up dining right by the water, but even with a line out front, we somehow got incredibly lucky and were seated on the patio completely by chance. I noticed what looked like the owner (or perhaps the general manager) walking around, checking on guests, and helping with service, which added such a warm, authentic touch. Like many restaurants by the water in Italy, the seafood here is incredibly fresh ~ and this place is no exception. We ordered the seafood platter, grilled vegetables, and ravioli with marinara sauce. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious, right down to the bread. We also enjoyed some Prosecco, which paired perfectly with the meal. The view was stunning, and the whole restaurant buzzed with lively, happy energy. I would definitely return ~ not only because it was surprisingly affordable, but also because restaurants like this, with their true authenticity and old-world charm, are my favorite. One small note: the bathroom is on the second floor, so if you're older or have mobility issues, just keep in mind there's a set of stairs to climb. But that's very common across Western Europe. Fun fact: This beautiful little spot in Marina Grande has some real cinematic history. Sofia Loren and Vittorio De Sica, while in Sorrento filming Dino Risi's famous 1954 movie "Pane, amore e..." (Bread, Love, and...), actually sat at the tables of Trattoria Emilia. How amazing is that?
