Jayne is an angel and color correction dream! She was super patient with me deciding which color to go with for my upcoming wedding and didn't judge me for the mess my hair was before. The salon is big, clean, and super cute. Updated with: pics of before and after Easipro hair extensions -- my first time ever with non clip ins. I have to say how amazing my stylist Kaitlyn Rapp is! My hair is challenging with too much natural curl to be straight and not quite enough to be curly. I tended to look like a puff ball without the proper high and lowlights and texturing - at least that is how Kaitlyn says she achieves the miracle she does with my hair. In the past I have ended up with styles that I can't do myself at home later even though I leave the salon looking cute. Kaitlyn will always walk me through how to do it myself for when I get home. Kaitlyn uses and is trained on the best products out there Eufora and although she never pushes products, I personally love the way they smell and feel. At the beginning of each styling, WE always discuss what I am looking for, if there is anything that I want to change BUT I love that she sets clear expectations so she is always on time. I drive from Orange County to see her and if someone before me suddenly decides to change what they want entirely (change color from dark to blonde for example) she is upfront about the how and when that can happen without your hair breaking off. When making my appointment, the scheduler listened to what my specific requests were and paired me with Lisa, who is a perfect match. Lisa did a wonderful color for me yesterday. When I asked information about the product she uses, I was impressed by Lisa's excitement and knowledge about hair color and the Eufora product line http://eufora.net/trulyeufora.htm. Lisa is truly a hair color specialist. Before making my first appointment at the salon, I did research Eufora and chose the salon partially because of this. I came in with 8" of natural hair color, and 4 inches of colored hair which she matched perfectly. Lisa did a full foil weave from dark brown hair to blonde. The texture and condition of my hair when leaving the salon is great. The salon itself is tucked away and a bit hard to find, but worth the time. The salon is beautiful, open and full of stylist's who seem very happy to make Acappella their home. The atmosphere was friendly almost like visiting family. Alright, I am updating this because the owner wrote me back. First off, what kind of owner attacks her customers instead of taking the feed back? You didn't help your case at all. Let me see if I can do this in your order, Hair color. She was told it could be done in an hour and a half. Not five hours. There is a huge difference. Do I think she was poorly versed in how long such a drastic color change would take, yes. She isn't the professional though you are and you told her an hour an a half. If she knew all the hair rules she wouldn't be going to you in the first place. Also, dying your hair yourself is not that hard if it isn't drastic and i don't get why that is relevant at all . She came to you because she wanted salon quality instead of at home quality. You are the hair experts, not her....get your act together. When it was orange, she told the girl she had to fix it. PRICE WAS NEVER WENT OVER AT THAT TIME!(which for all you new readers turned out to be $500!!) I am so glad that as an owner you believe this is done, but rainbows don't taste like candy lady...and your business needs some help. The stylist did not make her aware or walk her through the process prior. she didn't tell her it should be a few sittings over a period of time. That stylist knew it would take 5 hours and wanted the money. She told her an hour and a half and quoted 150 dollars because she knew that no girl would never sit in her chair had she told her the truth. Don't put a blind eye to your problems, its part of good owners 101. Your stylists do not communicate price or process to the fullest, at all. Not for color correction, not for basic all over color, and not for weddings/wedding day. You do not charge by the hour for just color correcting service. I inquired at the time of my experience and was told it would be by the hour for my hair as well. My color change was not drastic, not difficult, and was all over color. And no, "any salon who knows what they are doing would quote pricing per hour since there is no way of knowing how long the process will take"....INCORRECT. Don't try to say what other business do and don't do! I wasn't born yesterday! I am currently doing the EXACT same color change from deep red to blonde. And my salon has their head pulled out, because they did follow the process that you hope your salon follows and it isn't costing me $500. DO NOT say how we felt when we left your salon. YOU have no clue! Just because I do not scream and stomp my feet like a baby doesn't mean I am happy. It means I am an adult. On my wedding day I was not going to bring all of these issues up...its a JOKE to think that someone should ever have to. I hate a lot of my pictures not because of my photographer but because of my hair. I did not change what i wanted. I had the same picture every time. Which brings me to my wedding. I stand by the girl, she is an incredibly nice person. And there was a point where I threw my hands up, not literally but figuratively, and just stopped communicating. this is why: My first hair trial I came from another salon who didn't even do the style i wanted. Like not even close.. so i expected her to wash my hair and start over. She didn't. She worked with what was already there to save time. It wasn't two hours. Maybe it would have been if she had done it the right way, but it wasn't. I called for my second and told her i felt like the trial should have been done with fresh hair. So this time, I came in with my own version of fresh hair. I didn't think i should have to pay for it, but i just wanted someone to do my hair on my wedding day and didn't want to cause a fight over $60. So i just paid for it. I took pictures and put it next to the photo of what i wanted and it still wasn't right. Closer, but not the same look. My hair looked helmetish. like I had a helmet with a braid. The day of. I had the flu the day before. My nieces and nephews were throwing up the day of. Yes, I had other stuff going on. HOW RUDE of you to turn me into a "distracted bride". You are just showing that you do not care at all. Trust me, I wanted her to hurry up with my hair as well! When it hit 11:00am YES!!! I had to get up and direct people! Wedding are hectic! Have some understanding! And to my girls defense, she did. When I was over charged, my exact words were "I am just going to pay it, and i will handle discrepancy's later because this is not the day for that". Later, my husband and I decided it wasn't worth the fight because the girl was nice, but that I would leave a review on yelp instead. The price was previously quoted, but it wasn't the price that was charged. And I paid it without arguing, not without question, because it was my wedding day and that was not the time. Sherri, You have angered me by responding to this with defense. The customer is not right with you, clearly. Complaints aren't even heard. Sad. read more

My first visit to Acappella was a success thanks to Bonnie. I just moved to the area a few days ago, and finding a new salon is always a challenge. But I think I found mine on the first try. Before we even started Bonnie offered me a drink and a tour of the salon. I was already impressed just by the look and design of the place. Then she took me back to the room and did a waxing for me. I have to say, the wax was a nice temperature (not scalding like some other places). Bonnie was fast and very friendly. She offered me discounts on additional services for future visits. It was obvious she likes what she does. I would however take off maybe half a star for my hair. Don't get me wrong, it looks great, but my stylist wasn't nearly as friendly as Bonnie was. Although, I am going to cut her some slack because she is pregnant and possibly wasn't feeling at 100%. She was nice though, and gave me a good cut as well as highlights. The only other thing I was a little surprised about was, I had to wait to use the dryer. I find that odd because there are so many stylists, I would think that they would have enough equipment to accommodate everyone... But I only had to wait just a couple minutes, so it wasn't really that tragic. Overall, 4.5 stars from me (rounded of course to 5). I will be back (with my boyfriend in tow for a massage) and I would certainly recommend this place to others. read more

I've decided that I need to rectify that and share my experiences with establishments that I've come to love - in this case Acappella Hair Design - and namely Monica Picazo! Monica has been my personal stylist for over six years and has styled everyone in my family at some point. Lately, she has transitioned me from dark brown/black to blonde and from long to shoulder length hair. All without missing a beat and that's saying something as I have very hard to lift Asian hair! When I visit Acappella, it's like a little respite from my busy schedule and one of the few times I can truly decompress. She has set up automatic scheduling and I receive a text and/or call a day before my next appointment. - it's a no brainer! Super convenient, extremely competent and always creative. I highly recommend Acappella and especially Monica! But shhh - don't tell too many people... I don't want her to get too booked for me! read more

She's talented, sweet, smart, and a great listener when it comes to cutting my hair and getting the style I want. I am a business professional in the area and I need an accurate and reproducible haircut that I was not able to find anywhere else. I have been coming to Danielle for 4 years now. Another great thing about this place is that Danielle takes her time. This is important with any hair and any style because this will lead to a more perfect cut. Danielle also pays attention to little details like texturing my hair and making sure it fits the shape of my face, etc. These are some of the details I love getting at this place that you won't find from a lot of other hair stylists out there. Got my hair done by Heather today and I am stoked about what she did. I previously had my hair ombré and it was grown out and brassy and she was able to take my hair and transform it in to something beautiful. I love how light she got my hair without damaging it, or cutting it. My hair is super dark brown and now it is a beautiful fade from natural to an ashy/sand brown. Dellamaria called me to say how sorry she was about my experience on my wedding day and made a very kind offer to make it up to me. But to be honest, I was extremely frustrated when I wrote my original review and I really don't think she deserves two stars. It was very, very hot in the bridal changing room at the venue, over 95 degrees that day. My head and neck were definitely sweating, and that moisture probably contributed to the curls collapsing. There was wind when I walked down the aisle too. None of that was Dellamaria's fault- things will go wrong on your wedding day, that's what everyone tells you, and it's true. My actual experience at Acappella Salon was very good. I had 6 bridesmaids with me, and they all looked great by the time we left. My makeup and hair looked gorgeous in the salon. Dellamaria is extremely kind and very talented. My advice to any future brides: think about where you're going to be. Outdoors? Possibly windy? Crazy hot? Choose a hair style that will work for the environment. And absolutely ask for a "real" example of the style at your trial appointment- don't let anyone give you a "rough" idea. Make sure their technique will work for your hair, and last all day out in the elements. read more

I have been going to my fabulous hair stylist, Sherri Carlton-Sedig, who also happens to be the owner of Acappella Hair Design & Color Studio, for over 16 years now. I am writing this review today because, as always, after I went into my hair appointment last week (I have a ton of hair that takes about 3 1/2 hours to do) I was even more blown away than the last time Sherri did my hair. I always ask myself "how is it possible that someone like Sherri, who is already an absolute perfectionist at what she does, can get any better or make my hair any more beautiful?" Well, I'm here to tell you, that it is truly a God-given gift that Sherri has. She was meant to be a hair specialist, color specialist, hair educator and product educator. Sherri was meant to own the number one hair salon in all of the Inland Empire Valley. My hair looks and feels absolutely incredible! On a side note, Sherri is THE kindest, most loyal, ethical, honest, loving, caring, expert in one of the most difficult professions out there. She not only runs an amazing business with clientele from all of the country, but she owns and operates a very professional business which is relaxing, and downright cozy. Every time I go to see Sherri, or just walk in to pick up products (she carries the best of the best), I just feel welcomed by everyone from the moment I walk in. The front office staff, the salon manager, Laurie, all of the ladies who work there (Abigail, Jonni, Emily, and Erica to just name a few) are all so professional and are kind and caring, too. This salon, in my opinion and the opinion of my husband and many friends, should really be rated 10+. Unfortunately, we can only give a 5 star rating. For reference, I have NOT been asked to do any sort of review for the salon at all! I simply was reflecting on my experiences over the years and all that I feel about Acappella as well as Sherri and I just felt the need to leave a review here. On that note, here is a sample picture of how my hair looks in the hands of Sherri. I only wish I had a picture of how unhealthy and GREEN my hair was (no, it wasn't green on purpose) when I first met Sherri many many years ago. She fixed my hair immediately when I was introduced to her way back then and has only made my hair more beautiful and stronger over the years. I hate when people say, "you get what you pay for." Because I've seen both spectrums. However, I kinda of have to side with service that cost a bit more typically being far better. I've been coming here off and on for five years. Had two facials. First one was horrible. Gave it another try and it was just as bad. So I stopped getting facials. I told the facial lady everything about my skin and products and chemicals I've used and how scaring is very easy. And she ignored it and left a scar that stayed on my face for months. So never. again. I've also gotten my hair colored here a few times. My hair has a brass undertone so I have to use ashy cool colors to get the color desired. Each and every time my color has been brassy and harsh. So I stopped getting my hair colored. The only thing left I could do was getting my hair cut. Initially I was impressed because it's nice when someone can just do what you need. Maybe not what you want, but just the bare minimum. And a lot of the time I need my hair thinned out and trimmed. This was happening, so I was happy. Wasn't amazing, but wasn't bad either. And for the prices it was great. But then I didn't like what was going on. And as of recently I received one of the worst haircuts I've had in a long time. I called the same day to have him thin out the ends and I was asked to come in two days later. Maybe I'm being over dramatic, but that was it for me. The idea he couldn't stay 10-15 minutes after his last client that day to fix it just rubbed me the wrong way. And that's when I knew I should have done what I've been needing to do for a few years now and that is look for another place. read more
