Lynne DaSilva is amazing! I was in there on Saturday morning to see Lynne for the first time. I am afraid that she thought I did not like my recent "curly hair " haircut, but I was in a little culture shock, going to my natural curls again. She really took time to teach me how to work with my hair, as well as what products to buy. I pretty much had the products already, but found out I was using them wrong. She knew I was a little disappointed with the outcome at first,(sorry, Lynne), but she asked me to try her technique for a few days. OK, so I "freshened up" my hair as instructed for the night out. OK... still looking pretty good, got some compliments...so, I decided to keep on doing as she said and to pin my hair up for the night, and lo and behold, the next AM, it took all of 5 mins to revive my hair, and no frizz! Just nice bouncy curls. It worked! Tonight I was brave enough to wash my hair, albeit a day early, but anxious to try the new techniqes I learned. My hair is looking mighty fine right now, with bouncy, non frizzy curls. Lynne- I have only made one change and that was to pull my bangs down in front. I should have tried that in the salon, and it probably would not have had me in shock so much. I have worn bangs for probably 20 years, so when I saw my forhead, I looked just so different. I tried booking this salon to do my and my bridesmaids hair for my wedding day. The scheduling was very unorganized. They had to schedule me with 3 different stylists before they could find one that was going to be available on my wedding day, even though I contacted them to schedule 3 months in advance. The first 2 times they scheduled a stylist I would find out weeks later that stylist would be unavailable on my day, it was very frustrating. My trial went ok but I wasn't impressed with the work. Monica Picazo saved my hair! I had gotten it dyed at another salon by the mall and I asked the lady to make it purple underneath and black ontop with purple highlights peeking through on the top part. What I got was a horrible splotchy mess that wasn't even close to purple. The color looked like an awful washed out blue/grey. I was seriously bummed out about it. It looked terrible. I recently decided to try out this place because a good friend of mine goes to see Kevin and her hair is always amazing so I thought I would try it out and I'm completely blown away! Their service is amazing and everyone there is so nice. I originally went in knowing I wanted to go blonde (I'm a brunette) and definitely no stranger to dying my hair. Kevin and I sat and talked and he got an idea of what I wanted done and what I had and assessed the idea and he was totally up front with me. He specializes in cutting hair so he referred me to one of the girls that works there, her name is Nilza, she specializes in color, specifically blondes. I have an appointment with her next week to start the process and I'm super excited. Kevin did amazing with the cut I wanted and it looks and feels fantastic. I also really like that they don't pressure you to buy their hair products like a lot of places seem to do. At the end of my experience Erica - who does eyebrows, makeup, facials, waxing, etc. fit me in to do my eyebrows and again blew me away by her service and did an amazing job. I had a consult for a Deva cut. I arrived on time but had to wait about 15 mins before stylist came to get me, ok no big, I understand it isn't an exact science when it comes to knowing what time you will be finished with each client. But when a big deal is made of an on time arrival because stylist is so busy and only does consults on certain days and times well, expectations are a bit higher. The stylist takes me back to her station and starts asking me about my hair and what I want and I'm explaining my situation she tells me she can't help me because I won't use Deva curl products. I explained how I tried them in the past and had bad reactions as I have a lot of allergies, she then proceeds to tell me how much of a monetary investment it is. I have no problem with the cost or wouldn't have been there asking for that service. Bottom line is it was a lot of time wasted when it could have been avoided had I been told when making the appointment that you MUST use Deva products or she won't cut your hair. I've been to another Deva curl salon and there were no stipulations on what products I have to use. read more

A friend of mine recommended Nicole to me. First time I went in had a great experience. I had a full weave and cut done, she did a great job. Before I left I made a follow up appt in about a month for a partial weave and trim right before I was going on vacation. They confirmed the appt. The appt was for 7:30am the next day, they called around 6 the night before and told me they over booked but they had an appt next week?? Explained I was going on vacation, they spoke with Nicole and said the best they could do was work me in at 8am with another client and they wouldn't have time to dry my hair so I would have to leave with wet hair.
