I've been coming here for the past 15 years. It's my favorite Mexican food restaurant and you absolutely can't beat the prices. Their lunch menu is the most affordable meal in NW Arkansas. Service is always impeccable. I still miss the old place prior to their new fancy location, as it has the hole in the wall feel. They still have the same servers!! The food was very bland, the guacamole was watery. The service was poor because our waitress was so not nice. She didn't smile a singular time. Me and my mom's favorite mexican restaurant for literally as long as I have been alive lol. It's so heckin good! The dine in experience is great after the rebuild and the seating is comfortable and the tables are big enough for the plethora of items you are likely to receive per order. The staff are always brilliant, they take their work seriously, and are kind and generous with the free tortilla chips and salsa, and don't shy away from refilling your drinks OR giving you a to-go cup after your meal is finished, with no upcharge! My mom's favorite restaurant, it's only competitor who even comes close would be Las Palmas, which in both of our opinion has fallen off a bit in the last couple years. (Since the pandemic.) Acambaro especially this location is exceptional in every way for a mexican restaurant. Service is Excellent, Dine-in experience is pleasant, and most importantly (perhaps,) the food is delicious! I don't know how they season or cook their steak that they put on their nachos reyes supreme or inside their california burrito but those are my two favorite menu items, and oh my lordy, that meat is just to die for. Also their guac is amazing, though I am not sure if it's in house made, or just storebought tbh. I haven't thought to ask, because that might be offensive.... Still though, whatever it is, it's yummy. :D My mom loves the enchilada dinner which comes with 3 enchiladas in your choice of beef or chicken or cheese filling. SHe goes with the beef. It's her favorite menu item. She also likes a taco salad, with beef as the meat component. They are both excellent according to her, I can not confirm on the enchiladas because I hate enchiladas no matter who makes them. Haha. I had my fiance go in an order 2 large white queso's since they were not answering the phone (which i completely understand since it does get busy). After he had ordered the queso's he came home and they were both full of jalapeños and some type of red seasoning, and that is not how their white queso looks. I have been going to this restaurant for years. I told him they probably mixed up the queso's and to take them back and ask for the white queso or a refund if it was going to take long. When he got there the lady who claimed she was the manager said that the queso has always been like that ( it has not always been like that. I had just ordered off of doordash 2 days ago and it was the normal white queso). He asked for a refund and she said they don't refund delivery orders (which it was not), and she walked away. I am very unhappy how they handled this situation. I have never had problems with them in the past, but now I will no longer be going there. read more

Our standard date night out! Best street tacos around--no one else's measure up in my book, and that includes every out of town restaurant I've been to! I never stray from my carne asada tacos, and my husband almost always gets fajitas. Their guacamole and chips and salsa are addictive--and we love to top off our meal with sopapillas. Great authentic Mexican food! far above average, we had the Bandera enchiladas, lunch special #2 which come with one pork Tamal and a beef enchilada with meat sauce, kids quesadilla and horchata. The tomatillo salads is delish but not many people knows about it so you have to ask for it. My husband and I usually don't eat the rice and beans, but these were so good we could not resist. When heading to Lowell, we discovered this Acambaro and it did not disappoint. The service was great, the spicy version of salsa was perfect, and the lunch specials that we ordered were delicious. The food is delicious happy hour is all day long with five dollar margaritas and beer! You get the choice of mild or hot salsa at your table with your complementary tortilla chips. We are visiting Arkansas and found this place accidentally. It has 4.2 stars on google map. I guess people here don't use yelp a lot.... so we went there, I'm so glad we went. This place is decent. I love their tacos so much! That beef tongue is well cooked and seasoned. I'm really thinking to go back and order 3 more for lunch tomorrow. Lol. Margarita is good too. We had a small sample since tonight is not the night for party yet. But I saw people next table ordered margarita, the size is BIG! This is a nice place to go for Mexican food and price is nice too. Lunch time with coworkers, we decided to come in here. Their lunch menu is relatively cheap and fast, but is it really cheap? I really love their chips. They are thick enough to fill you up and their salsa is pretty good. I always get the hot one. Anyway, back to the meal, I ordered lunch #33 for about $7 thinking that it would be more. Yeah... it is just some sliced chicken breast on rice with cheese. This is the most disappointing and sad lunch I ever had. If it is about $4, then I would not be sad. But, paying 7 for it just made me cry. Come on!!! I can buy a burrito for that price, and I would be full. Well, I was planning to fill myself up with chips, but the waitress was nowhere. They did not even once asked if we want more chips. This place makes me really sad. read more

Oh god this place was horrible. Worst place I have ever eaten. First off, there were fake plants EVERYWHERE. I was wearing a white shirt and my shirt rubbed up against one of the plants and my sleeve was covered in dust. My waitress didn't understand what I was saying and ended up bringing me three different plates, with three different things that I had not ordered. After I finally got my plate, my pinto beans were so thin on my plate I had to scrape my spoon across the entire left side of the plate just to acquire one spoonful (which I did not eat) I ordered a water and had crusty yellow stuff floating on the top of my glass. The paint job they did in their is horrible. It smells like a chain smoking truckers ass in there......least to say I shall never return! read more
