Recommend. The food is always good and so are the margaritas! Service is fast and friendly

I've been coming here for the past 15 years. It's my favorite Mexican food restaurant and you absolutely can't beat the prices. Their lunch menu is the most affordable meal in NW Arkansas. Service is always impeccable. I still miss the old place prior to their new fancy location, as it has the hole in the wall feel. They still have the same servers!! Pro tip: you can ask for the lunch menu at dinner. Also make sure to get a soda as they come in huge glasses! read more

Acambaro Mexican Restaurant - Lunch chicken fajitas - Mexican Near Me - Lowell, Arkansas

The food was very bland, the guacamole was watery. The service was poor because our waitress was so not nice. She didn't smile a singular time. She didn't greet just " ready?".She was not inviting at all and felt like she absolutely did not want to be at work that day, that was very evident. The place appeared to be clean, but crowded. This was our first time there to catch up with friends and my family won't return. read more

Me and my mom's favorite mexican restaurant for literally as long as I have been alive lol. It's so heckin good! The dine in experience is great after the rebuild and the seating is comfortable and the tables are big enough for the plethora of items you are likely to receive per order. The staff are always brilliant, they take their work seriously, and are kind and generous with the free tortilla chips and salsa, and don't shy away from refilling your drinks OR giving you a to-go cup after your meal is finished, with no upcharge! My mom's favorite restaurant, it's only competitor who even comes close would be Las Palmas, which in both of our opinion has fallen off a bit in the last couple years. (Since the pandemic.) Acambaro especially this location is exceptional in every way for a mexican restaurant. Service is Excellent, Dine-in experience is pleasant, and most importantly (perhaps,) the food is delicious! I don't know how they season or cook their steak that they put on their nachos reyes supreme or inside their california burrito but those are my two favorite menu items, and oh my lordy, that meat is just to die for. Also their guac is amazing, though I am not sure if it's in house made, or just storebought tbh. I haven't thought to ask, because that might be offensive.... Still though, whatever it is, it's yummy. :D My mom loves the enchilada dinner which comes with 3 enchiladas in your choice of beef or chicken or cheese filling. SHe goes with the beef. It's her favorite menu item. She also likes a taco salad, with beef as the meat component. They are both excellent according to her, I can not confirm on the enchiladas because I hate enchiladas no matter who makes them. Haha. Why haz smoll burrito when can haz california burrito, pray tell? but anyways, haha um. It's a awesome restaurant and the staff are great and the food is delicious! read more

Amazing service, the food was delicious, and the music was a breath of fresh air compared to the usual pop-songs on repeat you hear in restaurants. 10/10 recommend!! read more

The best Mexican food in NWA! Been going to the Acambaros in our area for 10 years, they've never messed up my order. Service is extremely quick and all the staff is always incredibly nice. read more

Current building is a bit cramped but the new building looks like it will be amazing! Food was wonderful and authentic. Waitress could have been a bit more attentive. We waited at least ten minutes for our check. Overall, I will return once new building is open. read more

I had my fiance go in an order 2 large white queso's since they were not answering the phone (which i completely understand since it does get busy). After he had ordered the queso's he came home and they were both full of jalapeños and some type of red seasoning, and that is not how their white queso looks. I have been going to this restaurant for years. I told him they probably mixed up the queso's and to take them back and ask for the white queso or a refund if it was going to take long. When he got there the lady who claimed she was the manager said that the queso has always been like that ( it has not always been like that. I had just ordered off of doordash 2 days ago and it was the normal white queso). He asked for a refund and she said they don't refund delivery orders (which it was not), and she walked away. I am very unhappy how they handled this situation. I have never had problems with them in the past, but now I will no longer be going there. read more

Great food! Fast service and very friendly! We will be back very soon for more of this delicious food.

We love the rice and the waitstaff! Our daughter dances to the music and everyone enjoys the family atmosphere.

Our standard date night out! Best street tacos around--no one else's measure up in my book, and that includes every out of town restaurant I've been to! I never stray from my carne asada tacos, and my husband almost always gets fajitas. Their guacamole and chips and salsa are addictive--and we love to top off our meal with sopapillas. The staff at Acambaro is friendly and attentive; most all of them have been there a long time, which speaks volumes about their work climate and Acambaro's management. Highly recommend. read more

Really yummy Mexican! My husband is from socal and is pretty picky about his Mexican food. I ordered some tortilla soup for him that passed the test! The prices are also really fare for the quality of the food. I ordered the enchiladas and was really pleased with the flavor! read more

Amazing food and service and very nice looking and comfortable place to eat and spend time would recommend to anyone absolutely love this Restaurant read more

After six years absence still the best salsa in Northwest Arkansas. And the best fajita taco salad anywhere.

Great authentic Mexican food! far above average, we had the Bandera enchiladas, lunch special #2 which come with one pork Tamal and a beef enchilada with meat sauce, kids quesadilla and horchata. The tomatillo salads is delish but not many people knows about it so you have to ask for it. My husband and I usually don't eat the rice and beans, but these were so good we could not resist. We were just driving through town and are so happy we stumbled upon this place. Six thumbs up from this family of three read more

If you've ever had Rosa's Cafe (fast food started in West Texas but I think theres 1 or 2 locations in DFW), this is similar to it. So far, this is the closest to Tex-mex that I've found around the area. We really like it and will be going back. read more

One of our favorite Mexican restaurants in NW Arkansas was the Acambaro in Springdale. We were disappointed when it closed a few years ago. When heading to Lowell, we discovered this Acambaro and it did not disappoint. The service was great, the spicy version of salsa was perfect, and the lunch specials that we ordered were delicious. I definitely will be back every time I am in that area. read more

The food is delicious happy hour is all day long with five dollar margaritas and beer! You get the choice of mild or hot salsa at your table with your complementary tortilla chips. They have small or large options on the menu, I absolutely love the vegetarian quesadillas but order the small serving because the large is way too much! read more

authentic fresh tasting mexican in a building with alot of character...seemed like a locals spot

So this is a decent Mexican restaurant of course you get free chips n salsa. The salsa was to bland for me thou. Came during lunch so there's lunch specials so I ordered the taco platter. It comes with 3 tacos n beans n rice. It was just ok nothing special. Service was ok and the inside is kinda outdated. Small gravel parking lot. read more

Tasty. Clean. Good as any Tex-Mex style place. Not going to get a gourmet meal but it will hit the spot if you're craving "Mexican". Guacamole was good. Salsa wasn't bland. Good prices & and a tall cerveza (domestic) is well....rather tall. Service ok. read more

We are visiting Arkansas and found this place accidentally. It has 4.2 stars on google map. I guess people here don't use yelp a lot.... so we went there, I'm so glad we went. This place is decent. I love their tacos so much! That beef tongue is well cooked and seasoned. I'm really thinking to go back and order 3 more for lunch tomorrow. Lol. Margarita is good too. We had a small sample since tonight is not the night for party yet. But I saw people next table ordered margarita, the size is BIG! This is a nice place to go for Mexican food and price is nice too. (Compare to NYC...) read more

Delicious food! Great service from a super friendly staff! My family and I stopped in heading through town and we are so happy we did! We will remember Acambaro during future trips through here! read more

Great place! Friendly staff, great food, great service. Highly recommended. We've been going here for over a decade. Will be back.

Lunch time with coworkers, we decided to come in here. Their lunch menu is relatively cheap and fast, but is it really cheap? I really love their chips. They are thick enough to fill you up and their salsa is pretty good. I always get the hot one. Anyway, back to the meal, I ordered lunch #33 for about $7 thinking that it would be more. Yeah... it is just some sliced chicken breast on rice with cheese. This is the most disappointing and sad lunch I ever had. If it is about $4, then I would not be sad. But, paying 7 for it just made me cry. Come on!!! I can buy a burrito for that price, and I would be full. Well, I was planning to fill myself up with chips, but the waitress was nowhere. They did not even once asked if we want more chips. This place makes me really sad. read more

Place to get cheap authentic Mexican food and quick service. Only thing is be prepared to come out of the restaurant smelling like food especially if fajitas were around you. read more

We have ate here several times for the past several years and have always had great service, fast hot fresh food and you just can't beat the prices. I highly recommend this restaurant. We have never had a problem here at all. read more

Delicious and authentic. This place is kind of a hole in the wall and the parking situation is tight, but it's worth it. The food is great, servers are friendly, and they have a big selection of food and drinks. The chips and salsa are good too. We really enjoyed this place and will definitely be back! read more

I eat here often after church with my family. I have been eating here since it opened. I love the place. Cheap, fast service and delicious.

I love their steak nachos, and am never disappointed. Mild salsa is drinkable. Always a really friendly waitstaff. It's comparable to every other Mexican restaurant in a 60-mike radius, so no real frills or anything out of the ordinary, but it's good food and filling for a decent price. read more

Exactly what a good Mexican restaurant should be - cheap, quick, and delicious! We had the enchiladas smothered in white cheese sauce and they were awesome! The salsa is good, but if ask for a spicy to mix with the mild because it's too tame. Chips are good, plentiful, and always available. read more

Oh god this place was horrible. Worst place I have ever eaten. First off, there were fake plants EVERYWHERE. I was wearing a white shirt and my shirt rubbed up against one of the plants and my sleeve was covered in dust. My waitress didn't understand what I was saying and ended up bringing me three different plates, with three different things that I had not ordered. After I finally got my plate, my pinto beans were so thin on my plate I had to scrape my spoon across the entire left side of the plate just to acquire one spoonful (which I did not eat) I ordered a water and had crusty yellow stuff floating on the top of my glass. The paint job they did in their is horrible. It smells like a chain smoking truckers ass in there......least to say I shall never return! read more

About a 6-7/10 for mexican restaurants. Nice staff and meat was very tender.

Servers are not very friendly....for goodness sake, don't take a black person in that just wants good service. My friend was treated rude!

Sort of your hole in the wall restaurant but the food has always been good. Despite the attitudes of the waitresses and the run down building this place is a great place to eat Mexican food. It beats classic Tex-Mex any day. read more

really mean spirited staff. I've never been treated so poorly. We will never return there, food is substandard the place is filthy. They have a bad reputation in the area, it's well deserved - we thought we'd give them a chance-maybe the rep was not deserved. WRONG. read more
