We were craving nachos before our long drive home and I found this amazing restaurant that offered 3 varieties on the menu. We had the Nachos Supreme, loaded with 3 meats, quac and all the toppings. Fantastic! We also shared the lunch special #26, Acapulco enchiladas, I believe. It was a plate of 4 enchiladas, bean-cheese-chicken-beef, covered in verde sauce, sour cream, lettuce and tomatoes. The chips are light and the salsa is delicious. Service is excellent. I highly recommend stopping here if you are in NW Arkansas. read more

Staff was ok other than that nothing good to say. Took forever to be seated. Salsa had no spice or flavor and chips are not salted. Refilled chips but left salsa bowls empty but no loss as it was not great. Carne asada plate was bland and the steak tasted weird and boiled. Steak ranchero again steak tasted boiled with no flavor or seasoning. Taquitos were ok. Chimichangas were pretty good if you got your cheese sauce on the side. Given the check and told to pay at the front. Then it took forever for someone to come up to the register so we could pay and leave. read more

Just moved to area, checked out YELP reviews and found this small restaurant in an even smaller strip shopping center at 412 and Old Missouri Road in Springdale. The menu was priced a little higher than posted on YELP , but most lunch combos were around $8-11. The service was great - our water and chips were never empty. The food was delicious, more of a jalapeño green sauce than green chili but very tasty. There were daily specials posted for food and drink. It was pretty busy at 1:00 in the afternoon. Located in a strip mall, came here for lunch on a Monday. The larger dining area was full so we were seated in a smaller room to the right. Things I noticed right off: salsa is sweet & besides some flakes of fresh coriander, not sure if it's homemade. Ordered a small cheese dip - good size but runny & yellow w/no flavor. Took a little while to get our food but everything was hot. Ordered the Acapulco plate which comes w/a tamale, beef enchilada, chicken taquito, beef taco & rice/beans. Taco shells were hard (so maybe homemade?) The tamale & rice were my favorites. Service was alright- no complaints but nothing outstanding. Took most of my meal to go, wasn't offered chips or a container for almost an entire cup of cheese dip. That's ok- wasn't too jazzed about it. This is a popular little restaurant in Springdale that does a great job of offering food that appeals to both Tex-Mex fans and fans of authentic Mexican food. They have great food and drink specials, the restaurant is always very clean, and I am always impressed with the customer service and the quality of the food. The restaurant has a beach theme which is fun. I'm always a little hesitant about restaurants that have extensive menus because it's hard to have that much food stay fresh, but Acapulco's menu items use a lot of the same ingredients, so I have no worries about the menu size here. I'm a big fan of the al pastor meat especially, but I've never had a menu item I didn't like. El Acapulco is a little ways off from the interstate, so it may take a little extra time for out-of-towners to get here, but the quality and atmosphere are worth the trip. read more

Blahhhhhh! So very Disappointed. We've been wanting to try this place for some time it's right around the corner from our house. The staff are very friendly service was quick beers are big but... This amazing joint is right by my mom's house, near the Springdale airport. This family owned and run restaurant features authentic favorites and recognizable Tex-Mex standards. One of my favorites is the Guis de Res. Tender brisket, potatoes and carrots and very flavorful. The chips are warm and crispy and the salsa is fresh and tasty-watch out, you'll be tempted to fill up on them alone. The staff is friendly, recognizes their regulars and is prompt and helpful. One of the few Mexican places I can go to on my low-carb diet and manage to get a full meal. Everything I've gotten there has been good, but my "regular" meal is the Acapulco Shrimp (without the cilantro they normally cover the top with), which is grilled shrimp in a sour cream/butter/onion sauce, served with a small selection of hot mixed vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower and carrots in a cheese sauce) and a garnish of tomato and avocado slices. When it's cold, I get a cup of the tortilla soup, which I like because most of the ingredients are served separately and I can add or leave out whatever I want (I add everything EXCEPT the tortilla chip strips). And when it's warm, we eat out on the patio, which is nicer than eating inside; it's covered, shady and usually cool in Summer heat. (When I'm really feeling naughty, I'll eat some of the flan for dessert, although I'm not sure it's much different than what you can get in the grocery stores.) Whatever you get, you're bound to enjoy it, and the prices are great. read more

After reading reviews from Urban Spoon, I assumed it would be a decent place to try. Urban Spoon gave it 89%, its more like 46%. Taco Bell is better. My flavorless Enchilada was wrapped up in a rubbery corn flour shell. The beef looked like beef paté cat food. The chicken Enchilada was even worst filled with dry dark meat. Again no flavor. Inauthentic Mexican food. Typical Americanized Mexican- in other words- nasty. Salsa is basically canned tomato sauce with cilantro, that is not salsa. They were not busy when we went yet the wait staff was in attentive. If you never had true Mexican food, you might like it, but if you are expecting something delicious and authentic, this is definitely not the place. The enchiladas are stuffed and topped with yellow cheese and put in the oven. That should tell you all you need to know. Lol read more

We stopped in on our way home for our 'mexican fix'. We try to eat at as many of the locally owned, non-chain mexican and tex-mex restaurants in our travels. The place wasn't busy on Saturday at 4, but most places aren't. We found the service excellent and the food just as good. The Acapulco Shrimp was very tasty and my wife had the Taco platter, she said the beans were some of the best she'd eaten. The chips were fresh, the salsa home made and had just the right amount of spice to bite, yet not hot enough to make you order some honey. We always check out the bathrooms as well, and these were top notch, clean and fresh smelling. Something hard to do in a public place that serves beer. read more

I don't really remember wen I came here, but it was my first time eating at this place. I went with my parents and my sister, the staff looked like they didn't even want to seat us. We got chips and drinks. Then we ordered our food, I don't remember what my sister and my parents ordered, but I ordered a Chimichanga Beef and Chicken Dinner from what I saw on the menu I told the waitress that I didn't want white cheese inside and I didn't want it on top either. We got our orders, then I got my order and it has cheese on top after I told the waitress that not to put on top and not to put it inside? She took it back, didn't even apologized about it, it took like 5 minutes to get my order fixed. The waitress gave my order back and I thought it was fixed and I cutted half to see if they actually did fixed it, nope they didn't. It still had white cheese inside after I told the waitress that I didn't wanted no cheese on my chimichanga. They took the order back and just scraped off the top instead of making a new chimichanga. I took the first bite and it was nasty. The beef was way too greasy and the chicken was very dry for me. I didn't even eat it anymore bc I was so disappointed with my order. This would be my first and last visit here. Service is 1 for my parents bc they got their orders right. The food wasn't that great. And I won't be back. read more
