A hidden gem in the city of Fullerton. If you strictly looking for a small serene setting, this is one of those parks. It's got a nice little trail alongside the creek, you can start from either the park or by residential part where the bridge is located and walk all the way around onto Fullerton Creek Dr (you'll briefly hit State College & the end of Yorba Linda Blvd) back to E. Melody Lane to making it a longer stroll or jog. It's a real nice neighborhood, if I lived right by it, I'd make it my everyday route, otherwise unless you have business near by to enjoy it, it's definitely for the locals only. - (meaning not worth the drive/gas unless you reside nearby) Besides the walk/jog/bike trail alongside it, there are little areas of some sort of exercise equipment/or wooden & steel bars indicating what type they are. There's a little area for the kids to play, picnic & BBQ areas as well. Nestled between two schools (one being Catholic church school), but even though kids were out of school, it wasn't really congested and manageable driving out of. I'm out there in Fullerton off & on and will make it my routine walk when I'm not able to hike.

I stumbled upon a Snorlax here once, it ran away and I was depressed for the next 2 hours.

What a wonderful little getaway at CSU Fullerton! This was my first visit and wanted to check it…read moreout before school is back in session. Parking is in front near the entrance, weekdays it's $4 /hr but free on the weekends. Admission is just a $5 suggested donation to support the arboretum. I arrived within the first half hour after opening to try and beat the heat. Even though it was still warm, there were plenty of shaded areas to stay cool along with benches that were great for relaxing. There was also a breeze so that helped. Thought about spending an hour there but glad I paid for two hours of parking because I ended up staying for 1 & 1/2 hours. One of my favorite moments were simply sitting on a bench listening to all the birds. Hopefully you can hear them on the video. This is a peaceful place to unwind and definitely encourage you to visit.

Is the arboretum beautiful & peaceful? WOULDN'T KNOW - they wouldn't let me in without paying $125…read moreFOR A PHOTOGRAPHY PERMIT just because I had my camera? #ABSURD #ripoff May I add - it's free to enter.... Thank goodness these college kids are fighting tooth & nail to keep us dangerous photographers out of there. Imagine if we took pictures & posted them, inspiring more people to visit & potentially make donations. THAT WOULD BE AWFUL! Do better Fullerton, it's not that serious
