I spoke with Rob first thing today and he was able to have a technician come out this morning on Monday! Thankfully, it was just a fuse, but our condo's AC unit is on the roof, so I had no easy way to check. Our AC unit is back in action after a toasty weekend. Rob and his team also replaced our AC and Furnace at our last condo. That AC unit also gave up the ghost during August. I am super grateful for Rob and his team. It was survived by five angry, sweaty residents of this house... in lieu of flowers, we shook our fists in the air, and tried to run as many fans as possible. After about ten minutes of that futility, I bit the bullet and jumped on good ol' trusty Yelp to look for an HVAC place. Over the years, Yelp has upped its game of soliciting multiple companies for a quote. One of the companies that responded quickly was Meza's HVAC. We connected by telephone, and despite the crazy weather, they offered to come at 7:30 AM the next morning. The technicians showed up on time, didn't dilly dally around, and got right to work. After quickly diagnosing the problem (a small leak somewhere in the line and no refrigerant) I puckered up to wait for an astronomical price quote. Surprisingly, the price for 6 lbs. of refrigerant (an R-22 Freon alternative, which was actually cheaper than the now-illegal Freon) and a line sealant was very reasonable... plus, no one tried to sell me a new AC unit despite the fact ours is so old, you can get in it and kick your feet really loud yelling YABBA DABBA DOO! to get it started. I hope to the gods I never need to call these guys again... but if (OK, when) we experience any kind of trouble again with our AC system, I won't hesitate to contact this company again.

The next day Sam followed up with me and gave me a quote for a water heater install and said he'd be there within 2 hours when I was ready. I told him I needed to discuss with my wife. During this time, I called another local company for a quote and they quoted me about 800$ more for the same exact branded/sized water heater, installation hoses/connection, etc. their warranty was also one year less than AAA was providing. I then called another plumbing company and their quote was even more astronomical than the second company. So I called Sam back after agreeing with my wife that we would proceed with him. He stated he had a new customer in the 1 hour we'd last spoken, but not to worry because he'd still be there same day just later in the afternoon. He provided a time frame and text when he was 30 min out. He arrived and got the water heater swapped out in 2 hours as he said over the phone. We went from having a leaking water heater to a brand new one. It's all up to code and we feel very confident in Sam's work. Additionally, Sam was a very courteous and polite guy. He explained everything and answered every question we had. He never seemed rushed or tried to upsell us anything. His customer service was outstanding.
