Hired to do a job, the owner Jimmie's crew damaged a ton of my landscaping lines which had to be repaired and he requested that I get a 3rd party to do it and get him the bill. He has dodged repaying it and sent a fraudulent check to me which I took directly to his bank. I contacted several companies to do a complete landscaping rebuild on my house. Absolutely bushed's pricing was on the higher end but their services looked the best. Their price quote was for $22,343.00. After deciding to go with them, I emailed them a list of questions and clarifications. For example their price quote didn't include tax and said that a $750 landfill fee may apply. I asked for a complete price quote that includes the tax and real total. Since I had a long list of questions about their quote, I suggested that the sales rep come back to the house for another in-person meeting. The sales rep emailed me back and said that his "office" in Rowlett was too far away from my house and coming back for another meeting is "not really an option." Then he went on to suggest that if he were to come back for another design meeting, that I should pay him $50 for his "gas and time" or alternatively to continue the design discussion by phone and email. He did not answer most of the questions that I previously emailed him. I emailed him back and asked why he's talking about Rowlett when the company's office is in Dallas, which is 25 minutes away from my house. If his house is in Rowlett then that's not my problem. I also asked why he would even suggest that I pay him $50 for "gas and time" to do a pre-sales design meeting on a project that will cost nearly $25,000. I concluded my email by telling him that we can discuss over phone and email and will wait for him to answer my list of questions. After getting no response to my email, I called him several times and all calls went straight to voicemail. I left two voicemail messages and to date have never gotten a response to my emails or phone calls. It's hard to understand how this company stays in business with such terrible project managers who would insult their potential customers by asking them to pay for "time and gas" and then stop responding, resulting in the loss of a $25,000 sale. *** UPDATE *** The response from the owner of this company is complete nonsense. They flat out lied. If this is what you can expect from their sales people and business owner, just think what would happen if you actually hired and paid them to do something. I don't know the first reviewer is or who he talked to, but we've found Absolutely Bushed to be outstanding. Not only do they show up on time, finish the job in a timely fashion and at a fair price for the work done. Even better they insure that you're satisfied and stand behind the work!! My husband and I have been wanting to get our existing landscaping by our home builder upgraded and we had nothing in our back yard but the usual sod they give you which was a lower grade at best. We got bids from several different companies. Most of them wanted to know only two things, how much could we spend and when could they start? Once we gave them a ballpark budget and dates that would work for our schedule two of the companies said they were not interested in our project, REALLY? The two other companies were actually still very interested in our project. We received quotes from both in a timely manner however one of the companies quotes actually had the same things we didn't like in the front from the builder even though we were very clear from the start we did not like what they had done. The other company obviously listened to exactly what we said and wanted with incredible detail and creativity! It was an easy decision to go with Absolutely Bushed Landscaping..! We worked with a senior designer, a project foreman and his crew throughout the entire process. It was obvious from the start we might the right choice. I can see why this company has been around so long and has many references. Not only did they design and install a well thought out plan, they stayed under our budget and made some suggestions that we had no idea were even available to us we liked even more! After about two or three months of living with our great new look one of our dogs chewed up a sprinkler head and a few bushes died. We called them and explained what happened and wanted to schedule them to come out and install the replacement shrubs. Not only did they come out the next day but they installed the new bushes and fixed the sprinkler head all at NO CHARGE!! They said it was an easy fix and that instead of paying for the shrubs and sprinkler repair they would just appreciate any referrals! Now that is what I call incredible customer service! I have used Absolutely Bushed for a previous landscape job and didn't consider any other company for designing and installing the landscape for our new home. Lawrence came out while we were still under construction to look over the site, spray the weeds, and offer suggestions for the driveway. Prior to putting together the contract Lawrence wanted to get a firm grasp on what look we wanted and what we needed in our landscape. He contacted us several times to present ideas and discuss pictures we had sent him. The most difficult part of the process was waiting for them to begin because they had another large landscaping job to finish before beginning ours! Once our job began Lawrence and his crew were here every day and on time. They cleaned up after the day's work was done. There were a couple of issues with the landscape lighting and the fountain plumbing but were promptly repaired. The whole job took less than 3 weeks. After having a horrendous experience with our home builder, this was a welcome contrast! We love our landscape and have received many compliments from our neighbors! The plants and trees are large and lush so they will establish quickly. It's low maintenance, gorgeous, and perfectly compliments the style of our home - it's better than we had hoped for!! read more
