After doing…read moreextensive research on which solar provider will provide me with the overall best service, warranty, long-term care and maintenance, I narrowed it down to; Telsa and Solarugreen. Even though I own their car, their customer service, both vehicles and solar programs was less than desirable. I selected Solarugreen as my local provider and installer, because they could provide local service, respond to additional requests for added upgrades, and they have prior knowledge, experience, and installation familiarity with my system. These were just a few determining facts that lead me to Solarugreen, but after we initiated the project I'd learn that they afforded many more benefits and expertise then I had thought I needed. Partnering with Solarugreen allowed me to be engaged at all levels of photovoltaic (PV) selection, inverter performance and battery storage selection for a whole house system. As a consumer with 3 EVs and a high demand for energy consumption, I knew this solar system needed to be the best performing system that I could find for a fair market value and that would last greater than 20 years. That being said, Enphase was selected because they could deliver on my grid agnostic needs, while allowing me to capturing clean and free energy from the sun. My sleek, elegant, black Solaria 14.9 kW panels out performed my expectations, while not taking away from the curb appeal of my home. I would highly recommend the 355- or 370-watt panels to everyone. When you select Enphase, make sure you request the IQ8 microinverter, which are the state-of-the-art inverters for a multitude of great reasons. Since receiving Enphase Empower and Encharge battery storage system, it has greatly increased my energy independence away from the grid by 95%, and reduced my electrical cost by 75-80% from my previous monthly expenditures, thus getting me closer to being off the grid. In the past 8 months, my solar production is over 14 Mwh of energy, 5 Mwh of Exported energy back to the grid and nearly 700 kWh stored in the batteries for night time and off grid operations just in the past 40 days since the batteries were installed. In 4 months, I will have had this system installed for a full year, and I can wait to see what my overall calculation on my return on my investment for the future and potentially how much energy could be sold back to the electric companies, earning me money. Solarugreen has walked with me through some unchartered waters while acquiring permits (electrical, building and solar) from the city, navigating through the 30% Federal Tax Incentives, with the Oncor application for state tax incentive, and the state's homestead Exemption Application for Solar Energy Device, all of which have save me an enormous amount of money. Furthermore, Solarugreen coordinated all of my contractors and over saw the site management throughout the process. At the conclusion of the entire process, I was presented with a binder, that neatly included all my permits, solar sun survey, cost projections and solar projection and energy consumption charts, product survey, and production performance comparisons, warranties, maintenance agreements and invoice. Amazingly, I don't know of ANY vendor who would do this for a consumer. If I ever needed follow up information on my system, here is my "go to" book should I sell my home or had to MRA a replacement part or upgrade my system. Moreover, the solar system has undoubted increased my home's market value and has extended the life of my roof by 25 additional years were panels are installed. What a win-win scenario! Bottom line, I am glad that I selected Solarugreen, and am exceedingly pleased that we jointly selected a system predicated on my historical usage date and consumptions demands. It was both wise and practical to build a system based on data and not what would be nice! My solar system could make me money based on energy sold back to the grid, but that process isn't as transparent as I would like and comes with a lot of "strings" and contracts attached. Solarugreen connected me with solar specialists and engineers at Enphase and together we designed to my specifications and budget. I couldn't have asked for better partners. Solarugreen is truly a One-Stop Shopping vendor. While I've gotten no compensation or incentives for this review, I simply know good friendly professionalism when I see it. I first contacted Good Faith Energy to help with solar planning for an all-electric house build I was building in Dallas, TX. While the house was still in the pre-drywall phase, I wanted to make sure that anything that could be added in the construction phase to help with solar installation later was done. Good Faith Energy helped me out, and for a nominal fee, they designed an electrical plan and coordinated with the builder on what components would make installation easier in the future. My original plan was to build the house and live in the house for a year to figure out my electricity needs, and then design a solar system around my usage. However, after moving in in early 2025, I decided to proceed with solar installation given my fear that the solar tax credit would be going away soon. I explored several solar companies, but ultimately picked Good Faith Energy. They were familiar with the products I was interested in (REC solar panels, SPAN panels, and Tesla Powerwall 3). They are very involved with the community and post very insightful videos on YouTube. You can tell that their owner and all of the employees are passionate about what they sell and install, and truly care about selecting the right solar system for you. My sales associate with Sammy, who was happy to provide different quotes, and he offered me very good suggestions about things I hadn't thought of. Joe was the engineer that worked on the plans, and he was also incredibly helpful and patient with me. He understood my desire to maximize the number of panels on my roof space, and tried out different ways with the design to maximize solar production. Samantha and Amanda were excellent project managers, who kept me informed throughout the entire project. My install was a bit more complicated than a typical residential system. My house is all-electric, and I have a 320 amp service powering two 200 amp panels. As a result, I ultimately went with a 28.5 kW REC solar panel system powering two separate sets of Tesla Powerwall 3 (5 total). Special shoutout to our electrician Ronnie and the site manager Shane, along with the rest of the Good Faith Energy install team, who battled some of the hottest days this summer to install the project on time. Their attention to detail was impressive, and the result is a very clean install. I live in a conservation district in Dallas, and as a result, I needed approval from the conservation district as well as from the City of Dallas. It took several months to get a permit, but Good Faith Energy had experience with this and knew how to handle it. There was one minor rough patch. We scheduled a city inspection two weeks ahead of schedule, but Good Faith Energy wasn't there where the city inspector came, which generated an immediate red-tag. However, this was ironed out by the next week, and we received a green tag after just one inspection the following week. Since the install, I've had a couple minor issues with the system, but Good Faith Energy was quick to respond and resolve the issues. I have been left with a feeling that this company stands behind their project. In the end, for such a complex and expensive project, I have had an extremely positive experience working with Good Faith Energy, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a solar install in DFW.

However, the crew left a poorly patched hole in our roof during the panel installation process. We spent 4 months and thousands of dollars trying to find a leak in the roof and fix a problem we swore had nothing to do with NTS. Finally, after many phone calls, they agreed to remove some panels for the 4th roofing company to check the roof. The hole in the roof was directly under one of the panels. The roof was repaired and we have no more water coming in. We do have bills for roof modification, chimney caps, spray foam insulation, drywall repair, painting and will need some kind of mold remediation in the attic. We called, sent pictures and email. No response, totally ghosted. I can recommend the system, but not the installation. Now I'm worried we won't have any help if we do need something. Very discouraging.

When I initially contacted Tesla to do the work, I was given a 39-week lead time. Given the hole in my roof from a fallen tree limb, I could not wait that long. Our roofer was Kanga Roof, who then sub-contracted the work with American Dream Solar. The panel removal was completed very quickly, during which they identified a potential problem with the initial install by Tesla personnel. They exhibited great care in how the panels were removed and stored while off the roof. Once the new roof was back on, they were out in less than a week for the re-install. They did confirm that half my panels had not been connected since they were installed, which I suspect has cost me several thousand dollars in lost electricity savings. Once they were finished, and all my panel were connected, my electric generating capacity doubled. Our experience hasn't been that anything bad has happened with the actual products they've…read moreinstalled.... when they've installed anything at all, that is. Everything looked very slick and very shiny when we found them through the home and garden show, but the actual experience we've had has been quite poor. The salesman who was assigned to us seemed very earnest and very hard-working, but I don't think that he actually had any backing from his company when it came to fixing the issues we had problems with. While installing installation, one of the workmen stepped on the sheetrock in our ceiling, causing a large crack. That should maybe have been a warning, but we figured it was just an accident and that we'd wait until the work was done and then address the crack. Then our HVAC died. We'd contracted for a brand new unit with these guys weeks before this point, so we went "Okay, let's just ask them if they can move up the installation date. We had NO word from them for weeks except whatever we could bother out of the salesman who sold us the system, and the sense I got from him is that the company itself wouldn't bestir itselves on our behalf. We wound up acquiring two window AC units for ourselves and our roommate to try to survive, with no help at all from the company. This, mind you, while people were literally walking into my wife's place of work on multiple occasions and cheerily informing her that they could have a new HVAC unit in by the end of the day. (She works in a pawn shop, so contractors are always coming in and out to pawn tools or look for good ones.) We actually haven't even started the solar work, in part because there was just too much going on, and in part because my wife and I have been so exhausted since negotiating Texas in July without a functioning HVAC is no picnic, so canvassing the neighbors to notify them about solar hasn't been our priority. Without notifying them, the work can't proceed. I'm not sorry, in retrospect, that we've been slow on the ball there. All of our panels were not installed facing the correct direction. Even their foreman came out and said that it was wrong. They will not fix it and said we need to wait a year and see what they produce. They still are making up excuses for them not producing enough energy. You can hardly ever get a hold of anyone in the company without threatening them. We are still paying over 100.00 a month for electricity. We will never break even in our life time on the expense of these panels and we are only in our thirties. Do not EVER give this company the time of day!
