Let me start by saying that I reached out to several A/C companies in the Reno area and had…read moremultiple companies come out to diagnose the problem. Every one of them told me the same thing--my entire A/C unit needed to be replaced. The quotes ranged from $10,000 to $12,000. Some companies only did a visual inspection, others used leak detection devices, and a few even climbed into the attic. After hearing the same expensive recommendation over and over, I was feeling pretty discouraged. Then I found Happy Heating and Air Conditioning. During my first conversation with Matt, I explained the whole story, including the unfortunate fact that my Doberman had used the outdoor A/C unit as his personal urination target. Because of that, I was convinced the leak was being caused by coil rot. I shared what all the other companies had told me and how frustrated and discouraged I had become. After I sent Matt a picture of the unit, he told me he was fairly confident that coil rot was not the culprit. More importantly, he offered something that none of the other companies had--a definitive way to determine exactly where the leak was coming from: a bubble hydrogen leak test. Matt was honest from the beginning. He explained that the test could bring good news or bad news, but either way we would finally know exactly what was going on with the unit. He came across as knowledgeable, experienced, confident, and genuinely interested in helping me find the right solution instead of simply selling me a new system. He was also completely transparent about the diagnostic costs, what the testing would involve, and how the charges would be calculated. There were no surprises, no pressure, and no sales tactics--just straightforward information. I was especially thrilled when Matt said they could get the testing scheduled right away. In Reno, it seems like everything is booked out for weeks, especially with the hottest months of summer approaching. As promised, the crew arrived right on time and immediately got to work. Their goal was clearly to be as thorough and efficient as possible, which I genuinely appreciated since I was paying for their time. There was no standing around, no unnecessary breaks, and no wasted time--just professional diagnostics from start to finish. A special thank you to Lorenzo and Kevin. Both were polite, knowledgeable, professional, and, most importantly, seemed to genuinely care about helping me avoid unnecessary expenses. It's rare to find technicians who are just as concerned about your wallet as they are about fixing the problem. The best part? My final bill came in well under $1,000--far from the $10,000 to $12,000 replacement quotes I had been given by other companies. Instead of replacing my entire system, they took the time to properly diagnose the issue and perform a precise repair that saved me thousands of dollars. Thank you again, Matt, Kevin, and Lorenzo--you guys are my heroes! I would confidently recommend this company and this team to anyone who has been told their entire A/C system needs to be replaced. Before you spend tens of thousands of dollars, reach out to Matt. He actually takes the time to listen, genuinely wants to help, and focuses on finding the right solution rather than simply making a sale. It's refreshing to find a company here in Reno that truly cares about its customers. That level of honesty, integrity, and customer service is hard to come by these days. Kevin and Lorenzo not only performed a precision repair on my A/C system, but they also cleaned everything up afterward and left the area looking better than when they arrived. Their workmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail were outstanding. From start to finish, Happy Heating and Air Conditioning exceeded my expectations. They earned my trust, my business, and my highest recommendation. If you've been told you need a complete A/C replacement, do yourself a favor and call Happy Heating and Air Conditioning before making any decisions. You may save yourself thousands of dollars and find a team that truly puts customers first.

Michael's said there was a $69 fee to show up, plus parts and labor costs. That was fine. But they ended up not coming on the day scheduled. They said they would come for $225 plus job expenses. When I mentioned the earlier amounts that were quoted to me, I was told that the manager who spoke with me before did not know their policies. Absolutely the Worst Plumbing Company I've Ever Dealt With…read more I don't typically leave negative reviews, but after three separate service calls at three different properties, I feel obligated to warn others. Premier Plumbing has been, without question, the most unprofessional plumbing company I've ever worked with. The common theme in every experience was poor communication, missed expectations, lack of preparation, and unprofessional service. Property #1: One repair involved what appeared to be a temporary fix by placing a rag between two hot metal pipes instead of properly addressing the issue. There were also several other items that were either overlooked or not completed correctly, including maintenance on the water heater. While I wasn't happy, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and moved on. Property #2: This experience was far worse. A technician inspected my water heater and showed me how dangerous its condition had become. It looked like it was close to catching fire. Because the water heater was located near my bedroom and close to my children's rooms, I asked that it simply be replaced rather than repaired. He agreed and submitted it for replacement. Instead of replacing it promptly, Premier Plumbing shut off my water heater, leaving me without hot water for nearly three weeks. During that entire time, communication was almost nonexistent. The company would not answer phone calls. Every attempt to get an update had to be done through text messages, and getting a response was incredibly difficult. I had to repeatedly contact my home warranty company just to find out what was happening. As the customer, I shouldn't have to do all of the coordination between my contractor and my warranty company. When they finally arrived to install the replacement, they showed up without basic tools and had to borrow towels, a hose, and pliers from me just to complete the job. It was one of the most unprepared service visits I've ever witnessed. Property #3 (The Final Straw): Unfortunately, my home warranty company assigned Premier Plumbing yet again. I was given a service window of 2:00-5:00 PM. Since I was out of town, my partner left work early to wait at the property. After waiting over 4 1/2 hours, they still hadn't arrived. He eventually had to leave because he gets up at 3:00 AM for work, so I had to call my son to take over waiting. The technician finally arrived an hour and a half after the scheduled window. His vehicle was left parked in the middle of the roadway while he worked, and his overall appearance and behavior raised concerns about whether he was fit to be performing service work. Communication with management was just as frustrating as before. Phone calls were ignored, and they would only communicate through text messages. When I simply asked for an ETA after waiting for hours, I was met with a rude response asking if I just wanted to cancel. Even after arriving extremely late, they still couldn't complete the repair because they only brought three of the four required valves, despite already knowing exactly what repair they were coming out to perform. They had to schedule another trip the following day just to finish a job that should have been completed the first time. Not to mention the job he did come and complete is STILL leaking. The following day, while trying to get another update, I received a text stating they would "fix it, close the ticket, and red flag it." As a homeowner, hearing the phrase "red flag the ticket" immediately concerned me because it could potentially affect a warranty claim depending on the circumstances. I immediately contacted my home warranty company to document everything and protect myself. This isn't about one bad day. This is about three separate properties, three separate service experiences, and the exact same problems every single time: - Extremely poor communication - Refusal to answer phone calls - Requiring customers to communicate only through text - Late arrivals - Lack of preparation - Returning multiple times because they didn't bring the necessary parts - Unprofessional customer service - No accountability The Reno/Sparks area has many plumbing companies available. Consumers have options, and based on my repeated experiences, I strongly encourage people to choose one of them instead. I gave Premier Plumbing multiple chances because they kept being assigned through my home warranty company. Unfortunately, each experience was worse than the last. After three separate incidents, I can confidently say I will never allow this company to perform work on any of my properties again.

Both service appointments were frustrating. The first time, nobody showed up. When I called the next day, they didn't even seem aware that the appointment had been missed. The second time was no better. We were scheduled for a 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM appointment. The technician said he'd be "a little late" but didn't arrive until after 5:00 PM. Two appointments. Two major scheduling failures. When you take time off work and arrange your day around a service window, you expect a company to respect your time. Premier Plumbing has not done that in our experience. This has been one of the most disappointing service experiences we've had.

(With a household of 6 the daily use of the washing machine, bathtubs, and dishwasher had to be carefully timed and even then we sometimes had to use water that wasn't the appropriate temperature; having hot water on demand has been a lifesaver during this season of raising young children). Dirty Plumber was quick to respond to my husband's quote request and the company was transparent with pricing. I really feel we got a good value and quality work. After the work was completed, I later saw the business owner volunteering at AWANAS (apparently he's a regular who volunteers every week with the kids); this gave me further confidence that the owner must be genuine guy who's speal about how he was able to offer the best price really could be trusted. I *WILL* say that had I been the one looking at quotes (rather than my husband) the name "Dirty Plumber" would not have necessarily deterred me but the ugly cartoon mascot painting on their company truck certainly may have! I would imagine oftentimes women are the ones who arrange their schedule to let the employee in to do the work and the "plumber's crack", actively smoking while working, disheveled grumpy looking mascot painted on their van didn't exactly paint a picture of professionalism, reliability, or safety. THANKFULLY, I felt the owner and employee who arrived to do the work were professional in their interactions, overall appearance, time on task, and attention to detail (the tankless water heater is installed evenly on my garage wall and the insulation on it looks neat and tidy). If you are considering switching to a tankless water heater I highly recommend Dirty Plumber. Their price is great, they are thorough, and the quality work is evident.
