Ordered here for the 3rd time this weekend, it's absolutely delicious. We live close, so we had it delivered. Other two times we got take out. Food is packaged well, always hot, and ready quickly. I am so thrilled to FINALLY have delicious Thai food close to home. We live in Niceville and had to go to Fort Walton if we wanted authentic, tasty Thai food. I met a friend for lunch at Thai Cafe and had the Massaman Curry with chicken. My friend had the Panang Curry with chicken. Both dishes had depth of flavor and were just delicious. I liked it so much that we ordered take-out from there for dinner for family visiting from out of town. They all enjoyed the food as well. Awesome Thai food just outside Eglin AFB gate. I've been here twice and have been impressed both times. My go to is the Pad Se Ew, but I have tried several dishes and they were all good. I went last week with my brother and sister-in-law because we had read such wonderful reviews. The waitress was fantastic! She was very friendly and was always there when we needed anything. However, the food was basically inedible. I had shrimp pad thai. I ate the shrimp but no matter what sauces I put on the noodles to try to make them tasty I only ate a few bites. It was horrible! My brother ate his but said it wasn't good. My sister-in-law ate her rice and the yucky vegetables but couldn't eat the spongy meat. To top it all off my brother and I were both sick afterwards. I don't understand how they could have gotten ANY good reviews. I certainly won't be back! read more

What a gem! The freshest spring rolls, the noodle soups had generous delicious portions of meat with the most savory broth. Husband had seafood combination drunk noodles and there was squid, shrimp, scallops and delicious cuts of fish. We will drive here from our home thirty miles away for such great food! read more

We visited Absolute Thai for dinner on a whim during their soft opening. The restaurant is very clean and there are many tables with nice decoration and a friendly atmosphere. We met the owner Irene who mentioned they would be having a grand opening and a refreshed menu sometime in the future. She was very kind and accommodating. As for our food, I ordered Pad Thai and my husband got pineapple basil fried rice. We also ordered fresh spring rolls. All of the food was great, everything that you'd expect from a Thai restaurant. The pad Thai was pretty basic but I enjoyed it. The pineapple basil fried rice was very fresh and light. We also tried the Thai tea which was just the right amount of sweetness after our meal! I'm giving this restaurant 5 stars because although they're just starting out I will definitely be returning to explore more of the menu and it's conveniently right off Eglin AFB. read more

Really disappointed. I was hoping to find a favorite Thai place close to base. I ordered chicken pad thai, fried wontons, and the red curry. The pad thai noodles were super soggy and gooey like they had sat for awhile. They had very little taste. The chicken was tough and chewy. The wontons has no chicken in them. They were plain fried flat wonton wrappers that had sat in the grease too long and were floppy not crispy. The red curry I had ordered mild, as mild as they could make it. It was so spicy it was inedible! You couldn't taste anything other than fire! Will not go back or try them again. I understand all restaurants have bad days like people but this was just terrible. read more

Our first and last visit to this restaurant!! We ordered (takeout) the bbq ribs and pork fried rice. Ribs advertised on menu as a half rack @15.99 and our half rack was 3 bones with tomato sauce on top of a bed of vegetables. Our PORK fried rice turned out to be CHICKEN fried rice. The rice was good, BUT THE BBQ RIBS WERE TOUGH AND HARD AS A ROCK!!! The restaurant only had five people inside, so I can't even let them slide, with the excuse of being busy, and maybe this was a one-off. I can order a food choice on your menu and I might not like the taste of it, and choice not to order that food choice again, BUT I HAVE TO BE ABLE TO AT LEAST CHEW IT (TENDER TO CHEW) without it having the texture of hard dry sawdust!! It should at least be EDIBLE!! We WONT RETURN, because you obviously thought that it was okay to serve your customers, Pork Ribs, your chef either under cooked and didn't allow the meat to become tender or your chef over cooked the meat and it became tough and inedible. Also you didn't get the order correct. It was ONLY TWO ITEMS. Either choice is unfortunate for your customers and reflex's poorly on the restaurant. And for everyone who thinks, you shouldn't expect good ribs from a Thai restaurant STOP, because I've been to several Thai restaurants and the bbq ribs were tender and delicious! We hope this review is taken as constructive criticism, because you know the old saying, "When you know better, You'll do better". The massaman curry with tofu was amazing, so creamy and flavorful! We also tried the drunken noodles and they were awesome too. The sauce was light but had great flavor and the veggies were cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was great, it's super clean inside and very nicely decorated. The people here were so friendly and nice. Decent establishment overall, but I've got some buts, lol. I recently tried Absolute Thai for the first time and ordered a dish from the All Day Menu. I was very satisfied and looked forward to returning. I returned a second time and carried out lunch. I was disappointed in the dish I chose from the lunch menu, but only because it was not prepared as described on the menu, which is a *huge* pet peeve of mine, and also because the portion I received was small. Back to the dish being prepared differently. The dish I chose was described simply as the meat of your choice with onion in a chili sauce, which sounded perfect to my tastebuds at that time. What I received was FULL of carrots (which I despise), and also had zucchini, bell pepper and a few pieces of celery. In other words, they included a bunch of filler, which is frequently done in Asian restaurants and I admit that it irks me. Not a good practice for many reasons, but what if someone has a sensitivity to something they arbitrarily throw in? I couldn't get over the amount of carrots they put in there, it was like they gave me every carrot they had! The flavor was ok, but I was a little too put out to properly enjoy it. Oh, and be careful of spice levels here, things tend to lean towards the hotter side. "Mild" here is the most tame available level of spice. If you want NO spice at all, you have to specify that. I'm being generous by giving 4 stars, as I'm tempted to give 3, but they're great folks with great service and I'd like to see them succeed. read more

First time here! We came to pick up some takeouts for dinner. We had spring rolls, fried tofu, chicken satay, Pad Thai with chicken, drunken noodles with tofu, and cashew nut with chicken. Spring rolls come in pair and with a tangy sauce. Fried tofu amazed me a lot. It's not greasy at all. The tofu is slightly crispy outside and soft inside; with the soy sauce based dipping it came with, it tastes so flavorful. Chicken satay comes with two sauce, we especially love the peanut flavor coconut sauce! I couldn't decide which one to pick so I got both Pad Thai and drunken noodles. I had a little of both for tonight. The portions are huge! I still have plenty left. Pad Thai is really light on sauce and a bit dry. Drunken noodles has more sauce and more flavor compared to the Pad Thai. On the phone, my husband ordered the drunken noodles with tofu but when I opened the box there is some beef inside. It was a good surprise since the beef is actually better cooked than the chicken. I am recently pregnant, not many food triggers my appetite; but this restaurant has real fresh and tasty food to satisfy my cravings. Will definitely try to dine in next time! read more

First the place was completely empty and we still had to wait for the very rude hostess/waitress to pause her tv show to take our drink and food order all at once. The food was okay not great Thai but will do in a pinch. Beware there are ingredients just added for no reason. We ordered chicken soup and there was a strange meat in it. So we looked at the menu again and we guessed that they threw in a pork meatball that was in a different soup on the menu. Good thing we eat pork. The dinners don't come with spring rolls or even salad like most Thai restaurants for the same price. read more

After having lived in Thailand twice I was wishing for some "real" Thai food. It seems it's all "fusion" food everywhere I go. Gave this place a try today...and wow. Impeccably clean and simple. The greeting was swift and service amazing. But the real joy was the food. From the Thai Iced tea, spring rolls, dumplings, Pad Thai, Pad Se ew it was excellent.
