This is a quaint restaurant tucked in the Santa Rosa Plaza. There are a few tables for eat-in option but I usually like takeout. A husband and wife team run the restaurant and absolutely friendly. The food is amazing!! The kids love the dumplings and I can't stay away from the sesame balls and sweet donuts(reminds me of my homeland). We arrived at 7 to check the status and they told us, asking with everyone else waiting, that it would be 30-45 minutes and they would call when it was ready. The food is good enough. I liked the hot & sour soup. The low rating is for our experiencing order delivery directly from the restaurant. They quoted me 60-85 min. At almost 2 hours I called and the person said the driver was in the area and would deliver in a few min later, called 10 min later and they lied again saying 2 min he would he there. This went on with calling and the manager saying the driver would be there in moments. It took more than 3 hours and they didn't even offer to refund part of our order. Placed an order at 700 and was quoted 90 minutes for delivery (that is normal for this location, so be ready for that). At the 100-minute mark we called to confirm the delivery was actually coming. We were told that the driver was on his way. At the 120 minute mark we called back to find out what was happening and to check on the driver... it's not that far... The lady told us that they were just starting to COOK THE FOOD and that the driver would be leaving the restaurant in 10 more minutes. Which would have been more than an hour after the time that we were told for delivery. Needless to say I was not waiting three hours for Chinese... and will not be ordering again. read more

It's still under COVID procedure and not allowing anyone to enter the business. I had to order from the little window on the front door. On the door said New York Style Chinese Food. I was hoping the food do taste like typical Hong Kong style food and it didn't disappoint me. I ordered Sesame Chicken & Singapore Rice Noodle, I have to say both dishes are 4 stars if I have to rate each dish. One thing interesting is they are using dark meat for the Sesame Chicken. The Singapore Rice Noodle is as authentic as I have ever tasted. The curry taste and feel of the powder is what make this dish so unique. Even the bbq pork has the curry taste in it. We went there just to give it a try. Not a very friendly place. We placed our orders and the food looked good. I ordered beef and broccoli it came with white rice. The broccoli was pretty much raw the beef was all fat and gristle plus it was slimy not sure what that was about. I ate the broccoli and rice but couldn't stomach the beef. The plastic forks were so cheap when you tried to eat with them they just bent. The wife had a chicken plate of some sort and it wasn't much better. I wanted to give Chopstix another shot...Second attempt with Chopstix was a bigger food fail than the first. Even though the order was: three different items. DISAPPOINTED. I called Chop Stix prior to posting this, and have ordered Chinese from all over the country...the only thing more odd than this is having to order your rice extra in Boston! The woman on the phone disregarded every one of my concerns, and was in no means apologetic. I'll have to compliment the 3-4 star restaurants more often after this. Ordered delivery from 4 miles away on a Monday night, and was told delivery was an hour...waited 1:20. Added an egg roll, and it's just a tad bigger than my index finger...I don't have big hands folks. I laughed and thought it was a joke. Singapore Mei Fun - the flavor seems to be there, but the noodles, over cooked and soggy. I've found the crunch was bits of eggshell. Four Seasons - I'm accustomed to a container being FULL...and 2/3 of a dish isn't what I anticipated or ordered. The glaze lacked flavor, and there was no sauce that typically soaks up into the rice wonderfully. I understand 'portion size' for dishes, but a few extra vegetables to fill the box goes a long way from a customer standpoint. I have LOTS of negative AND positive drafts that I haven't posted, but this visit to the Emerald Coast hasn't proved well for the expectations of food quality or service in the area. I love these guys. They are super nice! They make good food. I have certain favs. Their soup is good. LOVE the Shrimp w/Losbster Sauce. It is fast and reasonable and good portion servings. No it is not like it is in Hong Kong or Singapore exactly but it is good and they dont over charge for small portions or make the sauces too heavy. Do not order chop stix in Santa Barbara online for a delivery order. It took 2 hours of wait time which was set after we ordered. Two hours went by and we called. Another hour went by after they said only 20 more minutes on the phone. After calling three more times, the food was delivered over almost 4 hours after we ordered online. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE!!!!
