D&T Garage in Lewes, Delaware, has been a trusted ally for over 11 years. They've come to my rescue multiple times, including when I needed a new alternator in December 2024 after a breakdown on Coastal Highway They're experts at diagnosing problems. They used dye to find the oil leak and figured out that the engine oil gasket was the culprit. They fixed it up and my car was running like a charm again. Jason, the mechanic, took the time to explain everything in detail, so I felt totally confident. The steering issue was a bit nerve-wracking, but Jason showed me how the tires had play in them and made me realize I had to tackle this problem head-on. The insurance company decided that it was a total loss. A salvage company would take ownership of the car and I would be paid a very fair amount. Obviously, Clear Defintion was not going to get the work.... But this is where the business owners really showed how thoughtful they were. They drove to the other facility, boxed up all of my things and kept them for me to pick up. They also dealt with at least 2 other businesses that were involved in the situation. They didn't have to do that; but they did. Of course, I did my research on their body, and especially paint work, and they got really good marks. And this was from people who lived 30-45 minutes from the shop; so it's worth the drive. Suddenly he has no parking, suddenly a mechanic needs the exact sound the car is making.. so i tell him once again, its the rack and its leaking.
