He went outside looked at my car and said he could fix it for me the next day. I took my car over to Weidmann and he was professional, kind and knew exactly how to fix it. The cost was extremely reasonable and quick. He saved me over $400.00 from a Ford dealership. He knew i had to go to Maryland and he made sure that my car was working in good condition. This morning, I got in my car to go to my volunteer job and the battery was deader than a doornail. I called AAA and had the good fortune to have Matt from Matt's Auto Care show up to help me. He got here very quickly (I live off of Plantation Road, so it is not far from his location) and had my battery replaced in no time (I knew it was too old to bother with just having him charge it). Throughout the time he was at my home, Matt was very friendly and helpful. I can't say having a dead battery and missing my favorite volunteer job is a delight, but working with Matt sure was! I will definitely be thinking about changing where I have my car serviced after this positive experience with Matt's Auto Care. read more

After my 2006 jeep liberty had issues for the third time in the 10 months that I've owned it, and the latest quote from the dealership was a whopping $700 for replacing the left caliper and rear brake pads and rotors I decided to shop around more. We got a flat tire last night on Coastal highway between Milton and Rehoboth. 8PM, 14 degrees. We were on hold with AAA for over 20 minutes trying to report our problem. I was driving home to New York from Ocean City with a friend and 4 teenage girls when 40 minutes into the drive I got a flat tire. I called AAA and was fortunate enough to have Matt from Matt's auto care come out. He was very efficient - he helped us unload all the bags from my Pilot so he could get to the tools to put the spare on. He was very friendly and very helpful. The girls were asking him a million questions and he answered them all. He also recommended a place to have my tire repaired so I could get home safely. Driving on the spare for 250 miles was not really an option. For an experience that could have been a nightmare, Matt made it much more tolerable. Thank you! read more

Matt's Auto Care was dispatched June 24th by AAA when I locked my keys in my car. Although it took the driver 35 min. to arrive (he was coming from another call), the driver really hustled to unlock my car and get me on my way. He was professional, careful with my car, and apologetic for keeping me waiting and not being able to get to me sooner than he did. The tools he used were of a material that wouldn't damage my car which was most appreciated! I was on my way in no time at all after he arrived. I was in Rehoboth on business this week and my car would not start, I called AAA and Matts Auto Repair truck came. Of course it wasnt as simple as a dead battery, it was the starter, they took it to the shop late that night and repaired it the next morning. Had it done by noon and I was good to go. I would highly recommend them. They are friendly, good price and quick. Cant say enough about how they handled the whole thing which for me was a nightmare, but they made it not so bad. read more

I have been there twice, the first time was just for a oil change. They said my battery needed to be replaced and even though I hadn't had any problems I trusted them and they changed it. The second time my car had a small leak, so I went to have it checked out. I was told that some clamps need to be replaced and I need to leave my car for a day and the estimate was $180. So I left it on the next day and I had to pick it up in the evening. When I called to check if it was ready before they closed, I was told that my timing belt needed to be replaced and I agreed. They said that would be $300 more and they needed one more day to do that. So the next day when I called, I was told that they had broken some part while changing the timing belt and they had ordered it but it will take two more days. It was expected to be received on a Friday and they said they need just half an hour to get my car ready. After I called 3 times on Friday, the part was finally there at 4;30. I was told that they can't be ready before 5, so they will try to have someone come in on Saturday just to fix my car. That didn't happen. It was finally ready on Monday at 5, 6 days after I left it to be fixed. I needed to get a rental car for the weekend, which costed me $60 and they didn't agree to cover my expense even though it was because of them that I didn't have my car on time. When I went to pick up my car, they charged me almost $600, which was more than I was originally told and they also charged me for the part which they had broken. This is the worst repair shop I have been to and I don't advise anyone to go there!!! read more

Matt has been my go to mechanic for 10+ years. I started using Matt's after I won a auction for 3 oil changes. Given my cars are both foreign and 12 and 15 years respectively I am more than happy with the service I have gotten at Matt's I have had several unusual issues that took more than just plugging in a monitor to fix - Matt took the time to find the issue and get it repaired - in one case the fix wasn't even remotely related to the symptoms or what the "book" said the fix should be, but being a real mechanic Matt and his team knew what the likely problem was (just an old hose with a microscopic leak) and got it resolved. Matt and his team have worked with me to find parts I needed from Internet sites (OEM or used) and they are willing to work with you to keep things reasonable - far less than the brand name auto dealers. Can't say enough about Matt and his team. read more
