He stated it could be up to 2 weeks to receive the parts. We are now 5 weeks past that date. I have repeatedly sent texts to Absolute. The responses I have received are that the parts are not in yet and I will be contacted when they arrive. There has been zero follow up communication with me. I called the home warranty company, Cinch, yesterday. Their service representative was on the phone for over 20 minutes trying to reach someone at Absolute without success. I just now tried to call Absolute. They are not answering their phones. I finally reached a bot and left a message. If I could leave zero stars for this rating, I would. I understand that there can be a delay in receiving parts. What is not acceptable is being ignored by Absolute.

I tried text/email and calling the the establishment multiple times in a 9 day period just to see if there was any kind of warranty or what could be done. Husband had to go in person for them to tell him they only have a 30 day warranty and the parts do not have a manufacture warranty so they can't replace or fix it and that we may as well buy a new dryer. I wish I had just done that from the beginning instead of wasting $565 on a part and labor that didn't even work.

1.5 I can't say that…read moreI disagree with the other reviews. Thankfully, I didn't rely on D & W to fix anything of mine but due to their incompetence, I have been greatly inconvenienced and very fortunate to not have been in a worse situation. They need to get their house in order. A few months ago, my microwave caught fire. Like, flames inside the oven and shooting from the sides. Surprisingly, I was calm in handling the situation but that's because I didn't fully grasp the severity of the situation. I contacted my home warranty company (review forthcoming) and they told me the first step in assessing whether my appliance was repaired or replaced was to have a tech come out and gimme a what for. This service would cost $75. Okay. Fine. The tech came to my home a couple of days later, introduced himself, looked at my burned out microwave, told me it was irreparable, scribbled some notes, collected his money, and left. He couldn't have spent more than 15 minutes. Cool. Quick. Efficient. I dig it. I called my home warranty company to see what the next steps were. Many frustrating phone calls later (review to come), I had a 'comparable' microwave offer -- from another company. Looking at this model, I was unable to make anything compute. Something wasn't right. I went back to service invoice and discovered the model number was wrong. Yep. In his haste to take my money and leave, the tech couldn't have been bothered to ascertain whether or not the combination of letters and numbers he wrote down were the correct ones. What did this mean for me? I had to start the process all over. More time. More frustration. But, what do you know? I could replace my old microwave for an unburnt version. So glad this process took months to resolve. Months. Complete first world problem, but a completely avoidable first world problem. Yesterday, I had my microwave removed/replaced. The back of the microwave, the part that abuts (or, used to) the wall of my kitchen? Black. Scorched. Terrifying. The flames didn't make it to the wall, thank God, or this would be a very different circumstance altogether. What I needed D & W to do was to provide a very basic service. They proved unable to do the minimum. Based upon this experience, I can't imagine the lack of care seen in a repair job.
