    The Lee Company has a great deal of makeup work to do to retrieve their reputation with me. After…read moreputting my faith in them, becoming a subscriber and using them for plumbing help, I have had the following experience: I had a shower that was not draining and we called the Lee Company to come and check it. The initial two technicians who came were very nice, very honest and gave us a fair price for the repair. All that remained was for a person to come and complete the tile work. We were promised and set up an appointment days in advance to have the technician come at 8 AM. I received a call about 10 AM saying they had had a problem with the truck and had to take it back for repair. Understandable. However, at 1 PM still no one had come and no one had called. When my wife called to check, someone said that they had come to the gate of our gated community and did not receive any notice so they went away. They did not try to call me, the gate automatically caused my phone. Being in the hospital, I had nothing to do but answer a phone.. They did not try to call my wife. I am in the hospital having to deal with this stress. I had canceled my subscription with Lee Company once before, due to a concern over high pricing of parts that could be found at 1/3 the price.. This company, and these technicians knew of the predicament my wife and I were in. They did little to make things right. Consequently, the technician is now supposed to come the next day. Never mind that my wife had rearranged her life so that she could come tend to me at the hospital but other things as well so that she could be present when they arrived. This is typical of a fly-by-night company not someone with the reputation that Lee Company supposedly enjoys. Even if you reconfirm appointments, sometimes they don't come and they don't call.

Was told absolutely. It's 1:05pm and still no tech. Called and now being told it's been rescheduled for two days out. No phone, no text. Just 5 hours of wasted time. I'd get any other company besides this one. You'll be wasting your time with Lee Company.

    Very sketchy company, buyer BEWARE!…read more I have a Big Chill refrigerator that is 2yrs old, the compressor went out. On Dec 11, 2025, Mr. Appliance tech "Zach" did a service call (very nice person). He stated that I needed a new compressor and the charge was going to be $1082; $600 for labor and $482 for compressor. I said I wanted to get a second opinion because that seemed high and the refrigerator was only 2yrs old. So, I called Big Chill to see what they would do and they stated, "....have them call us and we'll send out the part(s) at no charge....". I called Mr. Appliance to see if they would work with Big Chill and they said they would check into it and let me know. The day following the service call, the tech called and told me that Mr Appliance would work with Big Chill and he would get back with me to confirm the order. I never heard back from him or anyone in the office. After waiting 3 days to get confirmation that the part was ordered, I called Mr Appliance, they informed me that they spoke to Big Chill and ordered the part and I would receive a new quote. All of the sudden, I was told that I needed another part for the refrigerator and that my labor charge would be between $700-$800. I then received an invoice/quote with the labor will be $1000. I wonder what changed from the service call to the new quote? Perhaps lost parts up-charge? I learned that Mr Appliance adds an up-charge to the parts they order for the customer (I think this is typical). However, I think they planned to get that lost $$ by increasing the labor charge. It would appear that getting as much $$ out of a customer is the main goal for this company. To sum it up: I was told 4 different charges for labor; $600 initially, the following day by phone from the tech $400-$500, today by office person (phone) $700-$800, and then $1000 was what was on the invoice that was sent to my email. I found a more reputable company to work with, however, I wanted to share with you my experience.

The belt probably cost only 20 bucks max; was overcharged will think twice about using them again.
