He got me through some REALLY tough times over the past ten years, and honestly I'm not sure how I would have gotten through the pandemic without him. So knowing his time with me was coming to a close, I left it in his hands to tell me when it was time to go. And, unfortunately, that was the day he woke up and his eyes said simply, "Enough." The staff was attentive and kind from the jump. An examination revealed the options, but it was obvious that whatever was happening was quite serious - and I was given a breakdown of potential next steps. Of course with Sid's age, putting him down was also an option, and I already knew this is what we were going with. I did not receive any pressure to run any preliminary tests, procedures, or additional costs. I was simply told what the options were, and provided with an honest opinion of what the outcomes could be. And all options sucked. BUT it was obvious that the people helping me genuinely cared, and it made the heartbreak just a tiny bit easier. I had never had to do this before and I came in with Sid alone, so the vet guided me through what we were doing, what was next, and gave me ample time in between to say goodbye. Again, no real way to make these things less painful, but there was something in the attention and care I was receiving that made me feel like I wasn't going through it alone. The staff was going through it with me. I also received a beautiful card in the mail from them afterwards, hand-signed with a personal message from each - and this small gesture brought such warmth to my heart that I felt I had to share it. Highly recommend this place.

I spent 3+ hours there but it didn't feel like it. I was able to be by his side the entire time, there was hydration and snacks, and I was comfortable. I feel like every nurse checked in with us at least once. Even my cat felt chill enough after a while to curl up and nap in his large cage (they were quite busy and all rooms were taken). As off Feb '25 it was $200 for just the most basic care, for what it's worth, and in our situation it was very much worth it. They sent everything to my usual vet, including recommended follow up testing. Flippin' awesome and so helpful for moving forward after a terrible Sunday!

We were transferred from a North Jersey animal hospital to Red Bank Veterinary Hospital because we were told they were the best of the best -- and my goodness, that could not have been more true. From the emergency team to the greeters at the front desk, every single person treated us with urgency, compassion, and professionalism. They took Paisley in immediately, and the neurology team had her scheduled for an MRI first thing the next morning. I truly cannot say enough about Dr. Sheen. Her compassion, knowledge, and incredible people (and animal!) skills were beyond reassuring during such a traumatic time. She even went the extra mile to check on Paisley's results on her day off. That level of care meant everything to us. After some much-needed good news, we later worked with Dr. Haggerty for five tooth extractions and a root canal. Once again, from the moment we walked through the doors, we were blown away by the level of care and expertise. The hospital itself is spotless, massive, and run so seamlessly. Honestly, if I ever needed surgery, I'd want it to be at Red Bank It is an incredible place for both humans and animals during times of crisis and need. We are forever grateful to the entire team for taking such amazing care of Paisley. Thank you for being exactly who everyone says you are -- the absolute best.

To anyone searching for a veterinary team who will treat your pet with genuine compassion,…read moreprofessionalism, and heart, I want to recommend Garden State Veterinary Specialists in Eatontown. Our dog, Simon, was cared for by their team during both scheduled visits and unexpected emergencies, and the dedication they showed was extraordinary. Dr. Glasser, Dr. Wong, and Dr. Abed each played a meaningful role in Simon's care, offering not only exceptional medical expertise but also a level of kindness that brought comfort during every stage of his journey. They were compassionate, patient and professional. They treated Simon like family. Simon lived a long, happy life, and we know that the care he received at Garden State Vet played a meaningful role in that -- especially from Dr. Glasser and the amazing Oncology team. We are deeply grateful for everything they did for our dog- and for us. If you are looking for a veterinary practice where your pet will be cared for with skill and empathy, I recommend Garden State Veterinary Specialists in Eatontown. We have an appointment with his vet, I hope he makes it. This hospital could have helped him but they didn't. I told them, when I had brought him there that he was not eating or drinking and he's been very socially distant as well as some other details. They then made us wait for a total of 6 hours. I had to go to the front desk to ask when we were going to be seen and they sent us to the room we were at before and made us wait for at least 2 hours. I then had to leave the room to the front desk again to see what was going on and they then had a nurse come in and say we're next. Waited... waited and waited, before finally taking my suffering cat out of their hospital. Do NOT take your pet here. I can foresee a comment from one of the RBVH's staff saying some cold hearted excuse how they were super busy and for me to call their office or whatever.

Prior to surgery, the doctors at VRC indicated that successful surgery would get us 1-3 more years with our pet. During surgery, they were able to remove most but not all of the metastatic growth so it was recommended that we move forward with chemo and radiation which would extend his life by 3-6 months instead of the 1-3 years initially stated. Well, our dog died exactly a week after surgery, 1.5 hours after my mother passed. The exact situation that we were trying to avoid unfolded as our worst nightmare. Unbeknownst to us, VRC operated even though our dog was anemic, and as a result, he spent the last week of his life in pain and internally bleeding. The morning of his passing, he was vomiting up blood clots and there were clots coming out of his nose. He was in shock and urinated all over my husband as he carried him to the car to rush him to our closest Vet ER (not VRC). At the ER, we were told it was too late so we made the impossible but humane decision to hold our dog until his last breath. After arriving home, we couldn't even mourn the two deaths we just experienced because we had to clean up the blood from our carpets, curtains, floors, walls, etc. before our young children got home from school so we didn't traumatize them. We paid VRC over $10k and all they did was kill our pet in the most traumatic way. On top of that, they haven't once reached out to check on our pet (he was supposed to have his sutures removed two weeks after surgery but obviously we didn't get to do that, but no one called to find out why) or express their condolences for our loss. I would and could not ever recommend this vet practice to anyone. So disappointing and heartbreaking.
