We received the results the next day. If we are in the area again and need a vet, we will definitely use Ocean View Veterinary.

They completely missed trimming the thumb nail, and a month later I noticed my cat constantly biting at her paw. When I checked, I found that the missed nail had grown into her paw pad, causing her pain and discomfort. I called the hospital to explain what happened and scheduled an appointment. When I arrived, the staff immediately tried to shift the blame by saying, "We see that her nails grow quickly." I corrected them right away--none of her other nails were even close to being long. It was very clear this one nail had been missed during the trim. Instead of acknowledging their mistake, they refused to take responsibility and tried to charge me $200 for an antibiotic to treat a problem they caused. I told the doctor this should be fixed at no cost since it was their error, but they refused and sent me home with my cat--still injured and without medication. One of the worst veterinary experiences I've ever had. I've been to many vets and never encountered such poor care, lack of accountability, and disregard for an animal's well-being. I will never return and would not recommend this place to anyone who cares about their pet.

I…read morehad many cats as a child, but after my last feline pal passed away, I was too heartbroken to welcome another cat into my life. After a few years of mourning, my girlfriend knew I needed a new cat to love. She planned to find me a cat for Christmas, but even after searching most of the animal shelters in South Jersey, I couldn't find my forever friend. It wasn't until visiting the Humane Society of Ocean City (a town I frequently spend my summers in) that I met Wednesday. She was seven months old, playful, and black from head to tail. I formally adopted her on Valentine's Day, and we showered her with love ever since. The Humane Society gave me a folder containing her date of birth, medical records, and instructions to register her HomeAgain microchip. Either Wednesday is a preternaturally well-behaved cat, or the Ocean City Humane Society did a fantastic job at raising her. She never missed her litter box, scratched at the leather furniture in my living room, or attacked a human. She's extremely affectionate and loves to travel. Wednesday's vet is located directly across from the animal shelter, and her first checkup was free. I gave Wednesday a home, and in return, she gave me all her love. I'm thankful to the Human Society of Ocean City for bringing us together.

Finally agreed to take my information to "ask the doctor" about seeing her and never called me back, even after I specifically asked her to let me know ASAP and knowing our pet needed to be seen. I have donated money and items to the adoption side in the past, but will never use this vet office now, all because of this rude office person answering the phone. They may want to look into having their business represented by someone who is a little more friendly as a first impression.

I feel so fortunate to have found Paws First, which gives me the option to have my pets cared for in their own home. The ability to book online makes arranging for pet sitting so easy and convenient. Response time is always very quick, and the rates are reasonable for the peace of mind these people provide. I love getting email updates on how my dogs are doing. Even when they're naughty and get into the trash or have a little accident, everything is in order when I get home and my dogs are happy and loved. **Need to add an update because of one visit in particular. It has taken me a while to be able to write this. Over the Summer, I had the amazing folks from Paws First watching my dogs while I was away for the weekend out of state. My senior dog's health had been in decline for a while, but it didn't seem to be cause for too much concern- just typical old dog stuff. One night, her health took a very sudden and dramatic turn. It was clear that if she were brought in to the the vet that she would not be returning. I didn't want my old girl's last moments to be spent someplace unfamiliar. The staff at Paws First went above and beyond to provide extra care and comfort to her when she needed it most so I could race home to be with her. I am forever grateful for all they did for her.
