After a delay, I was told my dog had just had diarrhea and was being cleaned. When he was finally brought out, he was in unacceptable condition! His back end still had poo, and his white fur was stained yellow, as well as blue stain on his paws. When I asked about it, I was first told it had "just happened," but then later told it occurred earlier that morning in his kennel, which was inconsistent and concerning. I immediately requested the 20% tip be refunded. I was only given three wipes to clean him after I specifically asked, which was completely inadequate for the condition he was in. I declined their offer to bathe him because I no longer felt comfortable leaving him in their care. Although I was eventually refunded for his full stay, the condition my dog was returned in and the conflicting explanations I was given were unacceptable. Even worse, it has now been three days since I picked him up and he is still experiencing diarrhea, to the point where I may need to take him to the ER. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this facility.

They work with him to find compatible playmates. He goes to Doggie daycare several times a week and is boarded at HT when we go on vacation. The manager tells it like it is, very cut and dry! Doesn't sugarcoat anything, but is personable. All other staff are also very personable. Our grand pup enjoys going. I appreciate that he's tired most nights from playing with another dog!

Even after he passed and I welcomed a new goldendoodle, Lenny, in 2024, I've kept the same routine because I know there's no other groomer who matches the skill, compassion, and superb facilities they offer. From the moment you arrive, you're met with genuine warmth and professionalism. The staff take the time to understand each dog's personality, preferences, and needs, which makes every visit smooth and reassuring. The grooming quality is outstanding--my dogs always come home clean, well-groomed, and looking their best, with cuts that fit their breeds and characters perfectly. What truly sets this salon apart is the compassion and quick thinking of the team. I'll never forget a time I found what I feared might be a nest of seed ticks on my dog. In a panic, I called the Pet Salon, and they didn't hesitate to help. They took him right in, performed a tick/flea dip, and removed every tick. They didn't even charge for the visit. That level of care and generosity showcased their genuine concern for the well-being of the animals and their peace of mind for the owners. The facility itself is immaculate and well-equipped, prioritizing safety and comfort for dogs of all temperaments. Communication is excellent--clear updates on grooming plans, reminders for future appointments, and swift responses to any special requests. If you're seeking a groomer with extraordinary skill, heartfelt compassion, and a top-notch facility in Margate, I cannot recommend the Pet Salon highly enough. They've earned my unwavering trust and loyalty for the long haul, and I'm confident they'll earn the same for you and your fur baby!!

In 2025, they crated him again, causing the same injury, barely acknowledged it, and still charged full price. They also cancelled an appointment with less than 2 days' notice and didn't offer another for 2 months. Unsafe, unreliable, and unprofessional. Reaction to Pet Salon's answer to the review. You did not handle the situation correctly. I was told on the phone that his DuClaw was already hanging on and scabbing, after dropping him off. This was not true. The injury occurred in your Salon, now two times, from being crated. I check Charlie regularly, to say we neglect him is rude. Just because we get him groomed every 4 months you're going to hold that against us? We're locals, and your salon is overbooked in the summer. Thus, we've had to use other groomers from time to time. Upon arrival, I was greeted by your desk attendant and asked about the injury and she barely could answer me. She just got up and said let me get Beth. Who then came out from the back with an arrogant attitude. I could immediately tell she knew they were in the wrong and that she wasn't going to own up to their mistake. So I paid and left without incident. I was never looking for a free service, just a quality one. I'm in customer service, and I treat people with respect, that is not what you get at the Pet Salon.
