As a result, I usually have to have two vets and they don't always agree on a treatment approach, which can be a problem. But somehow, Dr. M manages to do both and make it look effortless. It's the ultimate one-stop shopping for pet care. She offers cutting edge technology that I was not able to find anywhere else so I gladly made the three-hour round trip from my home. And look forward to doing it again anytime I need to. I appreciate that she is so knowledgeable and generously shares that knowledge - talking to her is like chatting with a friend, a brilliant friend. HE HAD CONSTANT EAR INFECTIONS AND HOT SPOTS, WE USED A DIFFERENT VET AND WE NEVER SAW BAXTER STOP GETTING ANY BETTER. OUR DAUGHTER USED LINDA & MARY FOR 2 German Shepard, So We Started having Baxter treated & after evaluating his blood workup and changing his food, they told us that he had a reaction to pollen, grass & foods we feed him. Their approach was having him take a pill and use a solution that we put a cotton ball to keep his ears clear. Well it has been 3 Years and Baxter's problems are a thing of the past! We also were amazed that Mainland Vet was much more concerned about their patients & owners, by their charges & the cost that they set! The staff is composed of people who know every persons name & Baxter who weight 114 lbs will wait till he is rubbed by the staff. Called today and they told me that the Dr. they set up to review the growth doesn't do surgery, so the invoice for surgery may not be correct so they never sent me results. Oh, and the blood work came back with showing elevated something from his kidneys. No phone call, no email. I had to call them weeks later to find out why they never contacted me.
