Absolutely horrible experience in the maternity ward. Not only was the climate control broken for our room that we stayed in for days, but we were billed almost 3 times as much as they presented to us when we checked out, after we left. Horrible experience. I had recently gotten a breast reduction and I noticed a burning red itchy rash begin to develop all of my surgical incisions and spreading all over the rest of my chest. I had initially went to urgent care and the PA said he'd never seen anything like it but he believed it to be some sort of allergic reaction so I was given a steroid. I went through that prescription and my rash had just gotten worse and spread to my face, arms, stomach and further along my chest. The burning got unbearable and I decided to go to the hospital. When I got there I was taken in right away which was nice. Eventually the doctor came in, took a look, walked out, and came back to tell me I had a yeast infection! She prescribed me a topical yeast infection cream and when I went to pick it up at the pharmacy they told me it was a prescription for an over the counter vaginal yeast infection cream. At that point I had given up and gave it a try since nothing was working. Came as no surprise, it didn't work. I eventually went to a dermatologist and she told me it was an allergic reaction and the initial steroid just wasn't strong enough to fight whatever the allergy was. Anyway this place sucks so try to avoid it if you can. read more

I came here twice for sever stomach pain and throwing up blood. I was told I was simply dehydrated and given fluids and sent home. 1600$ in medical bills, I recently went to another hospital who actually found out I have a very severe stomach infection. On the morning of July 11, 2018, I took my husband to the ER at Abrazo Arrowhead Campus because he was having severe abdominal pains related to his Stave IV metastatic pancreatic cancer. We sincerely appreciate what Dr. Kevin Haselhorst and the staff did for us that day. The quality of care and the attention my husband received were excellent. There was no wait time. We were attended to immediately. Then after my husband was treated and given something for the pain, Dr. Haselhorst sat by his side and spoke calmly and straightforward about the options available going forward, and assured my husband that he's the one in charge of making any decisions. He can continue with the various treatments and procedures or he can decide to stop. My husband said he's definitely ready to be done with this, and has felt that way for a while. The Doctor assured him there is courage in letting go, and gave him some contact information and a prescription for evaluation for home-based comfort care. Doctor Haselhorst and his staff were very caring and compassionate. We can't thank them enough. read more

Had surgery a month ago. It was scheduled prior to the pandemic and was worried it would have to be postponed. Was able to have the surgery as planned. Very grateful to the staff that cared for me prior to and post operation. They were attentive to my needs and answered my questions regarding my recovery. Even received a letter a week later signed by all the staff. Had an emergency late at night. Checked in pretty fast and treated also pretty quickly. Office staff and nurses were very attentive and they solved my problem efficiently and with care - even a little humor - and made every effort to make sure I was comfortable and informed. The only negative is that the Doctor took the initiative to make arrangements for me to be seen by a specialist he selected, who turned out to not be very good. So, this is a good emergency room but check the reviews on anyone their Doctors might recommend - if I had, I would have seen nothing but negative reviews. I hope I don't need them again, but it is good to know that knowledgeable and caring people are close by and quickly available. This emergency room goes onto my health records as my place of choice. read more

I have been here at Arrowhead Abrazo ER for over 9 hours, the person behind me for 10, another couple with a child, 12 hours, maybe less, maybe more, but they left. I am in so much pain with cirrhosis of the liver, chronic pancreatitus and severe ascites that needs treatment every two weeks. I literally cannot sit for more than a half hour upright, and here I am, waiting 9 hours. Is there no contingency plan for an ER rush? A woman is having chest pains and is still waiting, another woman just moaning loudly in pain, babies crying at the top of their lungs. The healthcare workers here, great people, they care and are understaffed and have to take the complaints due to the ineptitude of the executive staff who have done nothing to prepare, especially after going through the pandemic, you would think they would prepare for a possible new wave of COVID. It's terrible, and it unfortunately will remain the same as long as they make a profit. Not to mention their staff suffering as well, they are people, people who are probably afraid to speak up. I will for you all: Arrowhead Abrazo Hospital execs you should be embarrassed by this, but I know you really don't give a shit, and it shows in your ER department. read more

Had an amazing experience starting yesterday (5/31/17) and ending with a release today in the Surgical unit for a total hip replacement. We arrived at 5:30 am for a 7:30 am surgery. My wife and I were greeted by the most pleasant lady I have ever seen at 5:30 AM!! The pre-op area where I was prepped by two efficient nurses who were also very upbeat and friendly. My surgeon and anesthesiologist then checked in with me and were super professional and explained the procedure expertly. Everything went very smoothly (and I have to say I was very nervous and apprehensive having never been in a hospital for anything at 75 years old!). I must have had contact with at least 20 people in the short time I was there from the various 'paper' staff to the Physical Therapist to both shifts of primary nursing staff, to the auxiliary staff (such as Blanca) and to a one, ALL super pleasant and efficient. I could name them all but am afraid I would leave someone out and that would be a disservice since EVERYONE was really great. I will say I was on the third floor Rm. 3410 so the powers that be can readily see all the people I interacted with. I will add that when people have issues, many (most) are caused by a person's attitude going in (again perhaps from tension and apprehension) but I decided that I was going in, while scared, to put the best attitude I could and it was returned 10 fold. I simply could not have had a more incredible experience. Thanks to everyone there at Abrazo Arrowhead for being such upbeat people in an atmosphere that might be hard to stay that way each day. Lastly, also kudo's to the main lobby volunteers as well as the admitting personnel who also did a great job. In response to your recent "Thank you, for choosing Abrazzo Arrowhead Campus" note, I must say that I would never willingly choose Abrazzo for medical care again. The surgical staff was great and surgery went well. Once in my room, I had several wonderful nurses. However, some of them lacked the skill of drawing blood and inserting IVs and blamed it on my veins. In all my 72 years, nurses have remarked how great my veins were and never had a problem sticking them. Having to order each meal on the phone was an inconvenience. Good thing my husband was there to do it for me. The food had absolutely no flavor, the eggs tasted like ground up cardboard. Yes, I am aware that some medications will change the flavor. Even my husband, who was not a patient, agreed that it was the worst hospital food he ever tasted and he has been a patient many times. I did try to order something each day with the hope it would get better but usually my husband would go out to buy something. After day one, he always brought me breakfast. No one offered to give me a sponge bath. I slept on the same sheets and pillow cases for all 7 days. More often than not, the previous urine was still in the measuring cup in the toilet. Once while getting out of bed, I leaked a bit on the floor. The nurse wiped it up with one of the hospital pads from my bed. When I finished up in the bathroom, I walked over that same area in my bare feet to get back into bed. But I did get new bed pads. The floor was not washed. The surgeon came in Christmas Eve and said everything was looking good and "would I like to go home today". Of course, I said yes! Within seconds, the nurse disconnected my pain medication drip just as the surgeon said he had to call up the Resident for the authorization. The Resident did not like the sound of my lungs and wanted to keep me a few more days. Later, I needed the pain medication and called the nurses station. I was told that the order had been cancelled. The best the nurse could do for me was 2 extra strength Tylenol until she could get hold of a doctor. By the time the next nurse came on, it was 3am and I was foaming at the bit. I told her what had happened and that I should not have had to be in pain all this time. She returned shortly with pain medication that actually worked. The IV for the drip was still in my arm and was crusted with blood. Christmas morning a nurse told my husband that he needed to go home and get my medication because they did not have any for me. When he returned with my medication, she apologized for the mistake and that they did have medication for me. The first or second day the nurse put the compression things on my legs. That felt really good. But, another nurse disconnected them so I could go to the bathroom and never reconnected them. Eventually, they were bothering my legs so I took them off. Finally, the Resident came by to check my lungs and said I could go home. The nurse had me sit in the chair and said she would be back in a couple of minutes to take me for a walk. 2 hours later, I got back into my bed. When she finally returned, she asked "who gave you permission to get back into bed". I told her "I got tired of waiting and got cold, so I got back into bed myself" I reminded the Resident that I had not had bowel movement since I got there, but, he sent me home anyway. The second day I was home I had my husband give me an enema. I had 3 previous hernia surgeries and was never allowed to go home without having a bowel movement or pass wind. This review is directly for the 2nd floor Telemetry Unit (2301A). I was admitted to this floor after coming through the ER because they didn't have any other beds available. My nurse "M" was the rudest, non-professional I have ever had the experience of knowing. (I am a former Hospice Nurse and would never treat anyone the way she treated me.) I was denied the ability to take a shower, after I informed her I had been sick at home and had been in the same clothes for 4 days. When I asked why, she couldn't give me an answer and instead gave me Ativan, via a bolus in my IV bag. She charted that I was anxious and agitated. When the doctor arrived the following day, he questioned the charting note. I called him out on it and stated "If asking to take a shower makes me agitated and anxious, then so be it." I never received a gown, socks, had to request 3 times to have water and a phone in order to place my food order. My sheets were never changed (I was there from Wednesday - Friday) and our room was never cleaned. When I was going to be discharged on Friday, I again requested to take a shower and nurse "M" told me "Why don't you just wait until you get home." When my representative from Blue Cross Blue Shield followed up with me, she indicated the facility would probably be contacting me to take a survey. To date, no contact. She then indicated I should make a review on Yelp. Well, here is my review: This hospital is not worthy to take care of a sick dog/cat. I do not recommend this facility and I will NEVER go back again for patient care. read more

The service that I received that abrazo Arrowhead was absolutely horrible they did not care about me nor the pain I was in I left with more pain and I arrived they wouldn't even let me sit in a wheelchair after dislocating my knee cap, my mom and dad both told me it was a bad place to go and after having been there and done that I will never go there again. The nurses don't care about you they say they're real busy when there's only eight people in the waiting room they told me they would give me ice for my knee but they never did and I asked three times they're absolutely horrible there and should be shut down. This is not a hospital it's a joke and not a very good one if I could give the zero Stars I would. Oh and by the way they only gave me one pain pill and nothing was sit over to the pharmacy for me not even one day's medication just one puny little hydrocodone. I had never had a bad experience until today! The ER staff was beyond rude and disrespectful I have had major stomach pain that yes has gone on for months. They treated me horrible I left in tears. The nurse comes in did you take your IV out no I told you 20 minutes ago it came out. I left hurt and helpless. The nurse Mrs. Wiley was condescending and rude then the doctor Galskpy was even worse. These reviews are solely for the ER. The facility itself is a bit run down. The floors are beat up and look dirty, even if they aren't. I've had to take my daughter there a couple of times and have mixed reviews. Incident 1: My infant daughter had an allergic reaction to the food she ate. Pediatrician instructed to go to the hospital immediately due to hives, swollen face, etc. It took nearly TWO HOURS for her to be seen. And of course, by the time she was seen the reaction had almost completely subsided and the instructions were "Well, now you know she's allergic to that. Don't let her eat that anymore." Incident 2: My daughter was 1 year old and had a fever of 105 that we couldn't get to come down. The doctor could not figure out what was wrong and even had us hold her down to catheterize her so they could check for a urinary tract infection. That was clear. Sent us home with instructions to give Tylenol and Motrin. Followed up with the pediatrician the next day and found out she had an ear infection! (Yes, the doctor checked her ears when we were at the hospital and apparently didn't notice.) Incident 3: My daughter hit her head on the cement while playing outside and had a concussion. It took about 30-45 minutes before she was seen by the NP. I thought this was somewhat reasonable since her symptoms were subsiding. The NP gave good insight/advice and we opted not to do a CT scan. Came back a day later due to continued vomiting. This time we were admitted a little sooner but we were there for about 3 hours total. All of the nurses (besides one) were helpful and friendly. Only saw the doctor for about 2 minutes, but he was pleasant and to-the-point. Ultimately, I'd prefer to go somewhere else, but in a pinch, it's better than nothing. read more

Worst experience ever! Had my daughter there with Dr. Austin who was an absolute monster!!! Her cervical checks left me screaming and begging her to stop - and she never stopped. This is my 3rd child and was well aware of what a cervical check entails. It was so horrible my husband and mother were hysterically crying not knowing what to do or how to help!! And this was for a NORMAL, low risk, healthy pregnancy and delivery with NO complications!! The hospital was neglectful on so many occasions. After baby was born, they placed us in our room and never came back for 6 hours!!! We had no diapers for baby, no personal items for myself. NOTHING! The staff for the baby was so disgustingly rude and harsh. Literally 2 seconds after the baby came our, the nurse tried to come rip her out of my harms to take "measurements". The baby was fine and fully healthy! How horrible! I just birthed my baby and now you want to take her?? What about the one hour skin to skin contact that I was promised?? They were horrible during the entire labor, they administered medication with out my consent while I was asleep through my IV! They rush you in and out like you are a cow! Their c section rate is SO high, their nurses are miserable and they are not accommodating at all during one of the most important and vulnerable times of your life! I would run far away from this hospital and deliver elsewhere!! read more

I had my knee surgery here back in January. That's the only reason in giving this crap hospital 2 stars. As I sit here in Arrowhead Hospital now. I realize I will never come back here again. I came in the ER two days ago in excruciating pain. Everything was fine until I was admitted. They had put me on an antibiotic that I think did more harm than good. Tonight I have to say I've got the worst nurse I've ever had. I waited almost an hour and a half for pain medication. Yes. It was due at 8pm. Didn't get it til 9:30. Some computer problem. Ok. Understandable. But don't ignore me. Explain it. I'm in pain. I don't want to chase you for my medication. Do your job. Gallbladder attack. They want to do test after test. If there's nothing wrong. Quit trying to find something wrong. Cut me loose. I'm in an incredible amount of pain. I guess that is normal like the tests. I'd rather go somewhere else and get a second opinion. read more

I went there due to severe pain in my stomach. They took x-rays and blood tests and hooked me up to an IV because I was dehydrated. 30 minutes later they unhooked the IV and said there's nothing wrong you are being released. I got probably 10% of the IV fluid that I'm certain 100% of it will be on my bill. Later my own doctor showed I was severely depleted of potassium and my blood pressure was higher than normal. I've actually never gone to the hospital and left without a discussion of my potassium levels and supplementation. A week later the pain is twice as bad and a CT scan shows two large cysts and a gallstone. I have no insurance yet the ER was empty of patients so why was the care so rushed and devoid of any effort? read more

I came here in excruciating pain from passing a kidney stone. They were nice enough to give me a shot to remove the pain. But I left with more stones to pass and a prescription for IBUPROFEN & a very rude unsympathetic nurse who treated my like an addict when I requested something stronger so that I wouldn't need to return for the same thing in the near future! I had a heart operation to replace my aorta, the surgeon Dr Kirshner was the BEST EVER, I mean 10 stars, but he uses Arrowhead Hosp, and the staff of nurses there are the worst I have ever experienced in 53 years , if I had to do over (God forbid) I would have Doct Kirshner, do operation at Thunderbird Hosp. Sherry the highly regarded nurse (by her own standard) comes in after I had been pushing call button for 10 min, they had put me in a chair to sit up and my tubes had gotten under my foot I didn't want to step on them so I was having to keep my foot elevated to do so, my foot and leg after 10 min of holding it up was very painful, I was even start to yell out of room for help, a great nurse (Russ) there came in moved the tubes and pushed the WORKING call light and left room took about 10-15 seconds, so Sherry comes in and starts by "what's your problem", I try to tell her about call light and she blows me off saying no no the lights work, and I try to explain the button I was pushing didn't work, this go's on and on not to get too detailed she is yelling at me and now I am really upset that she is calling me a lier, Sherry ends up calling in my surgeon (calls in one of the best and In Demand heart surgeons in the state) for a broken call light. In the end I almost moved Hosp for recovery (wish I would of) Sherry was told none of the call lights on the beds in ICU worked that's why they, installed the buttons on a cord, Sherry didn't even know that, I feel this ICU unit, have a old single women in menopause that abuse patiences. I recently had my third c-section at Abrazo Arrowhead. I had a wonderful experience. The nurses, aids and physicians were very attentive, concerned, caring and compassionate. I can't say enough about Dr. Littlejohn and how amazing of a physician he is. He always maintains a calm demeanor even in times I know to be stressful. I am an emergency nurse and understand stress as well as balancing patient demand with needs from a first hand perspective. The whole staff worked so hard and were diligent about not only my comfort but my brand new Son's comfort as well as my family. Everything has been as pleasant as can be expected in surgical recovery. Thank you Arrowhead, that's why I choose you! read more

As this is our neighborhood hospital I really want to like it but I cannot recommend the Emergency Room if you have a medical emergency. Went with chest pains. Though admitted immediately, given an EKG and blood pressure, I was not given any results. After 4 hours of frustration, waiting in a chair off to the side, no communication with any medical person, I finally decided to leave. It was only at that time someone finally said that they were busy! I never did get the results. I cannot even give a positive review of the medical staff as the few seconds of interaction was either nothing or "I don't know." read more

My daughter was taken to Arrowhead Hospital on 11/26/11 by the Peoria Fire Dept after passing out 2 differnt times, hitting her head, throwing up, and shaking and wetting her pants. Her nurse was so rude to her and my wife and I. Her bed side manner was so far off base. The so called P.A. that was taking care of her seemed like she did NOT care or want to take the time out to figured out what was really going on with her. I would have rather had a vet take care of my daughter then this so called P.A. who spent a total of 10 mins with her. All she did was order a number of labs to be done then after they were done she came in said everything came back okay and said "Some people just pass out for no real reason its nothing to worry about just go home a rest." This was the first time she even saw her. She just did not want to take the time out to figure out what could be going on. Trust me I would not take a frog there for a Band-Aid. I fell down and broke my ankle, I went to my PCP and got a prescription for an X-Ray. After the stat X-Ray that clearly showed fracture, my PCP decided to not call me! Anyways the swelling on my foot and pain (I had no painkillers at this time) became a lot worse. I sent the X-Ray to my friend in another state who is an Orthopedic surgeon. She suggested that I will need a surgery and I should try to get an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon asap!. It was a Friday evening, and I was a little panicked at this time. I went to Abrazo ER with my X-Ray from earlier from the morning. They insisted on another x-ray which I adamantly refused. They put a $45 (on Amazon) splint on me after about 3 hours andsuggested that I find a orthopedic surgeon and send me a $1400 bill. NO doctor came to see me at all. Google would do that diagnoses for me for $0. Please save yourself the hassle and DONOT go to this facility. I am glad Cigna is going to drop them starting 2019 read more

This hospital is a huge problem. My fiancé had surgery here yesterday. After the surgery they told me he was having flashbacks from war and when I asked what he said the nurse shrugged her shoulders and said I don't remember. She told me they gave him COCA COLA after the surgery. ARE U FUCKiNG SERIOUS????? Coca Cola for someone getting out of surgery?????? After being discharged he started complaining about his right arm going numb. So I called the paramedics to rule out a possible stroke, they weren't sure and told me to go back to this hospital. Once arrived at the ER he was taken in fairly quickly. The nurse that came in to the room (Brigitte?!) didn't introduce herself for one, took an EKG and dropped the heavy cables onto his crotch, when I told her to be careful she didn't even flinch (he had a vasectomy reversal so pain in groin) she then clipped the ekg on him. When she was done she just ripped them all off and left the stickers hangin on his body. She then came back a bit latter to take his blood samples. She DIDNT wear gloves, as she was opening the sterile packages needles and shots were in. She touched her hair and then touched the shots again. Before she drew blood she put on her gloves last minute. Again left the room without a word. Later I called the nurse to help me get him to a rest room (he had a hard time walking and ways 170pounds) she came in and said "the restroom is right there". No wheelchair and not a care in the world. So I (130 pounds) helped him up and carried him to the restroom. This is at 2am. They then admitted him over night to keep an eye and run some test. Told me to leave, I couldn't stay with him. The cafeteria is serving fast food, Coca Cola products, chips and ice cream. They have nothing healthy. What in the actual fuck is going on here???? Extremely rude staff and they are putting my fiancé's health at risk by feeding him with Coca Cola and nurses not wearing gloves handling his blood!!! Negligent, unprofessional and rude. Avoid coming here at all cost if your health is important to you. And hospital response: save it! I don't want to hear your lame ass excuses. No "we are sorry you had a bad experience and will look into this". Make the changes, start with what you give your patients and how you treat them!!!! read more

I went to this hospital for a total knee replacement What a great group of caregivers. I was there for 3 days and everyone I met or who had a hand in my care were excellent. If I needed someone or something all I had to do was ask and the response time was excellent. All my questions were answered. The biggest issue I had was my room phone did work well and when I brought this up to Al he laughed and had the phone replaced in 2 mins. he is a leader there and everyone takes his approach with the patients. I also came in contact with Maria. Trisha. Darlene. Jesse and a few more that I can't remember names of. All great people. read more

My mom was in this hospital for a hip fracture and the staff was amazing. they did everything they could to make her comfortable. the staff really spent time with her and always had a smile. the director of nursing, Lorna, is incredible. I was seen as a result of a car accident in April 2017. I was taken to the hospital by ambulance and the staff treated me professionally but not thoroughly. The complaint that I have is with the attending physician and his competence. I had a neck collar put on by the EMTs at the scene of the accident. After the images and assessment, the physician treated me as if I was fine and had no need have a neck brace on and said that he was waiting for me to take it off. I was taken back by his lack of caring and his treating me like I was not really hurt. I was very much in pain and two days later I went to the VA hospital (not known for the best of medical care) and I was diagnosed with severe neck strain and a dislocated bone in my back. I have reached out several times to Abrazo but have never received a reply. read more

BF had appendicitis and was transferred by ambulance from emergency room of heart hospital to Arrowhead for surgery - we were in a room for two hours before he saw doctor which means he had no pain mess and a raging fever. I had to ask for ice for his head to bring fever down. Thankfully we got transferred to a single room so I can stay night. In waiting room now and patient progress tracker not working. Thankfully this isn't a life or death situation - but I'm not a fan of this place. Once you've been to Scottsdale Healthcare you won't want to go anywhere else. read more

I would never go to the Peoria ER ever again. The uncleanliness of even the initial entrance and lobby is disgusting. The mess continued from there. Seems as if the ER didn't have any type of cleaning procedure or actual cleaning person. We had been worried about being there for fear of getting germs from something around there. It's bad enough of the covid19 sickness going on. And then we see this. Absolutely disgusting. If there is a so called cleaning person there I would get rid of them immediately and get someone who will do the job of keeping that place cleaned up. We had even seen the hospital guard, does that guard not know what it means to be a guard? His uniform - shirt untucked, don't think he knew how to wear the uniform pants. Why not have the ER so called cleaning person and guards get into a compliance with being professional. That place needs to have a surprise inspection on the so called guards and so called cleaning person. All shifts. If I could put a minus stars rating, I would. And why does the so called alleged cleaning person stand outside across from a patients room on his cell phone? What was he doing on the phone. We saw him standing next to a cart with his phone. If i could give 0 stars I would. I've been here multiple times since August due to my kidney stones. And every time I go it's the same damn thing. Pain meds , cat scan and then discharge. Except for this time, i had asked my mother to request them to call my kidney doctor to see what he wanted to do because i was in extreme pain and my mother and myself for shut down right then and there saying it wasn't there duty to call and to figure out a solution. My RN was the least bit helpful poor bed side manor saying that if it's not his concern he doesn't care. And saying just horrible things about women and the facility. It was very uncomfortable. For the doctor he was just as bad. When he came to discharge me i was asleep because of my meds they gave me and he just threw the paper work at my mother and said okay bye and walked out without any questions being able to be answered. I'm thankful that at the end of the year my insurance will be pulling from the hospital and i will never have to return to you people again. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. The billing and financial department is a joke. They have sent me to collections 3 times on a bill that I don't owe anything on. my insurance has sent them documentation that I don't owe, I have sent them documentation that I don't owe. Heck, they have even told me the adjustments from the contracted rate weren't put in their system correctly...so I don't owe! So here I am, in the circle of abrazo, collections and my insurance company were collections says I don't owe based on the notes and my eob provided from my insurance, and my insurance company says I don't owe. I swear this has been the biggest mess ever. I feel for anyone who isn't saavy with Insurance companies or doesn't watch their bills like a hawk...i can't imagine how many people are incorrectly billed and just paying. read more

My stay at the hospital was great. Loved all of the staff and nurses that cared for us. Unfortunately we don't have anything good to say about the billing/payment process. We received a bill for both my son and I- both had items I questioned on the bills. I tried calling to speak with someone regarding the charges that we were given and I couldn't get through. I left several voicemails with no call back. After talking to billing team they told me I could dispute the charges since I wasn't getting a response back. I was told when I disputed the charges someone would call to discuss each dispute with me, if I didn't receive a call the charges were disputed. A month passed and we got another bill. I called billing back and was told my disputes were denied. Again with no call, no explanation, just another bill. The hospital doesn't mind charging me but will not talk to me to walk through the charges. We will be choosing to deliver our next child at Thunderbird.. read more

I hate Arrowhead Abrazo hospital, I've been let down more than once by their incompetant staff. The first time I was sent away when having severe chest pains which only landed me right back there for round two of their incompetence trying to send me away after being sent there with a call ahead to them to admit me by a cardiologist only to have a double cardio arterial bypass graft 3 days later while experience a widow makers heart attack. Today I was scheduled for an outpatient procedure and reassured by the requesting doctor that I'd be out and wont remember a thing. I checked in was told by the radiologist and the RN that they'd be administering fentanyl and volume and I would go down and out quickly for a short period of time and not remember anything. I cried out in pain, begged and pleaded with them to give me more as I was feeling everything and they said that they had given me enough. As soon as the agonizing procedure was over I was suppose to return to recovery for 30-40 minutes. I returned, told them to pull the IV cath out immediately or I'd do it myself. I got up and dressed within minutes of returning to the recovery room. They tried to apologize only to get my palm in their face and I told them not to talk to me. I was told they were getting a wheel chair and I responded with don't do me any favors. I was still crying in excruciating pain as I found my way out the door on my own two feet. My mom was shocked at the commotion as the RN was trailing behind me. The sound of the drill and the agonizing pain will probably forever haunt me. I'd rather die than to ever return to Arrowhead Abrazo again. They only recieved one star from me because I couldn't give them a BIG FAT ZERO as they so caringly deserve!! read more

This is absolutely the worst hospital I have ever witnessed in my life. And that is no joke...everything about it made me completely lose trust in our healthcare system. The staff in the ER kept yelling at my wife to shut up when she was in so much pain because her thyroid levels and calcium was out of whack after having it removed. Not once did they ask her nicely to try to calm down they went straight to yelling at her. Of course they wouldn't give her anything to help calm her down or alleviate the pain. She sat in the ER on a bed for well over an hour before a DR came in... well a PA you don't even get to see a DR anymore. And asked my wife what was wrong, she explained it to him while still in extreme agony. He didn't seem interested and within 2 minutes left. He came back pulled me out of the room and asked me why my wife was acting like a 5 year old and he's never seen any act like that! She must have some mental/psychological problems right? I said are you kidding me right now? She is in so much pain and you guys haven't done anything but yell and tell my wife to shut up and now you come at me with this? You are all absolutely disgusting, the DR replied well you can always just go AMA. I said great well take our chances somewhere else. So the nurse came back and said okay go no one is keeping you here. We started walking back to the lobby I wanted her to wait so I could pull the car around and they told us no she needs to wait outside not in the lobby, WOW are you kidding me it was 110 degrees out. Worthless non empathetic staff I have ever seen. Never have I been so upset!!! DO NOT GO HERE! I will fight any bill sent yo me, and the coding better be correct because no one did anything, not one damn thing! read more
