My face became numb on one side after a chiropractor visit. Grumble grumble. I was transferred here…read morefrom another hospital. They were able to assign a room for me right away. They even allowed a family member to transport me so I didn't have to wait 6 to 9 hours for an ambulance to be available. I had a great experience. Caring kind staff. Miguel was the first nurse I met. He was professional and knew so much. He was training a new nurse and he treated her with respect and guided her kindly. He said she was going to be an awesome nurse! I agree. The teamwork, kindness and details taken were great with me and others. The doctor and specialist were so kind. The neurologist cleared me and with my facial numbing spreading the doctor offered for me to stay one more night if I liked for observation. I like how they have transporters who's job strictly is to take patients for testing or to the door to be released. The bed was comfy. Even the transport beds. The hospital room food was delicious. The nurse Ashley I had the next day was great as well. Sometimes you have to wait for a nursing assistant. They probably could have used 2 on the floor as busy as they are. Helpful hint. My roommate was not allowed to walk on her own and if it took a long time for the NA to come she we found if you took some weight off the bed it sets off a loud alarm. They come right away! =) She was very kind and understanding as a patient. It works both ways! My mom had watched the girls while I was there as my husband gets to work all Labor Day weekend, and she is a feeder! Our one our daughters went to bed with a tummy ache and woke up nauseous. She began having fainting spells. Knowing it was her vagus nerve I didn't panic, but it continued to happen and she was tired. I played safer than sorry after talking with her on call pediatrician. They recommended a visit so we were back, but in ER. Patients screaming in pain, yelling, crying had me in tears as I do not do well in hospitals. I heard doctors and nurses giving comfort. Reminding patients not to apologize as they understood they were in pain and that it will be okay calming them down kindly. Working so well together and being professional. Patients walking right up to the doctor station asking questions rather than waiting received kind answers and comforted. Amber, a nurse was really getting a hard time from a patient and she took it like a pro. Treated him well and kept on trucking. This is what patients want to see. This is what the hospital wants to hear and knowing that Banner reads their reviews I thought it was important to share. Funny how we can't wait to get care inside the hospital then can't wait to get out! They do a good job getting paperwork fast so you can be on your way. Makes room for the next patient faster. If you are coming to visit a family member who is arriving by ambulance just walk in emergency entrance and the security officer is on the right. I like how you check out and they go over all the treatment paperwork with you. It now has a handy QR code printed on it so you can pull up all tests results, like blood, MRI and CT scans for example. That way you can be prepared if you need to follow up with your primary care doctor or specialist.

Love is forever and it's bonds touch us all deep down!…read more All those smiling faces staring back at me. How I feel so lost? When your loved ones health is unstable we look to those professionals for the answers. It's written all over my face, the worry. Grandma is now in the best of hands. She has doctor after nurse that will go beyond themselves. As I sit here in the waiting area, maybe I should stop drinking coffee as my hands tremble they are unable to keep from shaking. It's three am! The cell phone rings! Then it rings again! As you come from a deep sleep you answer. "Somebody better be dead!" Actually it's a similar kind of call comes in the middle of the early morning; your dearest and most respected member of the family has fallen! We rush her to the hospital and you play the waiting game! What made her fall? Could you of truly been there to catch her in the shower? We all know the answer deep down, No! Mercy upon us all. Grandma is in the hands of the elite and finest works. Those that put themselves in danger every day at the cost of themselves. Sacrificing their own lives and that of their families to save others. Front line workers, these are the ones that my grandma is in care of. Above and beyond the call of their oath. If it was not for COVID I would give some random hugs out. Grandma is resting. With the current restrictions you are not able to visit long. A full time patient aid is available and at the bed side of the patient all the time. No more falling for grandma with this level of quality care. Most of the tests are performed in her room next to the hospital bed. The staff are required to wear a mask at all times. As a visitor you have the same rules, "wear the mask too." The road ahead is long, grandma is returning home today. The advances in heart health are among the best here at Boswell. Test after test we were given or offered. In the end a test can only give advice. The patient should have the ultimate voice when it comes to their "own" health. As a family we are making the wishes of the patient come to fruition. No dialysis no surgery. "When the good Lord wants me he can come get me!" Grandma yells unto high. She has proclaimed her wishes. They are granted. Its not all smiles. The burden from one human to another can be overwhelming. How to deliver bad news to a patient ? The doctors gave my grandmother three to six months without dialysis treatments. They recommended that she go into assisted living and give up her humanity it seems. For those patients whom do not have a support family this would be greatly beneficial or even appreciated. The diagnosis was fair and spelled out with two different expectations. You can appreciate the mental image of how life will be with your loved one in your mind. Huge appreciation to the family of doctors and nurses that make the lives of patients sunny. You wash the patients storms away and replace the clouds with rainbows. The family's of the patient are treated with the respect they deserve. The staff is patient, understanding and ethical. They provide for cultural purposes and honor critical family traditions. Keep up the stellar service that you create for the communities health and well being! Stay safe! Stay strong! Your in the front lines performing all the working of a beautiful clean life!

So I went on a Thursday at about 1pm and was out of the ER by 2:30pm. I interacted with a lovely, blonde lady at the front desk, 3 nurses, Dr. Oscislawski, and an X-ray tech. Everyone was pleasant, professional and respectful. Very different experience than at another local ER I've been to. The thing about Yelp is have to consider that people are hurt and sick and if the care is not as expected, they will more than likely write a review if they felt they received poor care. And that is not to diminish anyone's lived experience. But how many will write reviews to praise staff and their experience? Interestingly, the X-ray machine was brought to my room (the gentleman explained that it's because my issue was smaller and could be done this way but won't apply for every x-ray). The kind woman at the front desk (I hate that her name escapes me now), came to my room and asked for my payment, which I thought was odd. Perhaps, a portable credit card machine might be a better option here. No disrespect to her but I'm not letting anyone take my credit/debit card out of my sight. So I just paid after I was discharged and leaving. The lobby was empty so that might not always be an efficient way to do it for them. For me, my issue was not life-threatening but I was handled with care and will definitely be bypassing the other ER for a better experience at Abrazo.

After speaking with the billing department all they could offer is a payment plan. Good grief...... I am seriously in shock. I will never use any Abrazo facility again.

Plenty of spots close to ER and general entrance after driving through ER drop off. Hubs was admitted fairly quickly and I was able to follow after they got his preliminary vitals. ER doctors and staff were knowledgeable and professional while keeping great bedside manner and keeping me involved and informed. I learned that morphine is not only a pain killer but helps blood flow and not clot in heart attack victims. Also, to keep chewable baby aspirin at home in case of heart attack (for acute use, not to use daily). Hubs was taken to the Cath Lab as soon as possible and prepped for catheter probe, awaiting arrival of Dr. Shaia, the cardiologist. I was led to the waiting room and informed about timelines for procedure. The nurses pointed out where visitor restrooms were. My only complaint is that a couch, no matter the size or type, be placed in the waiting room. Since no one was there between 3:00am and 6:00am, I stretched out on a low long table with my head on the chair to try to catch a few minutes of sleep while waiting. When procedure ended, Dr. Shaia came out and took time to explain results and answer my questions. I was then asked to follow hubs and nurses to the ICU, where I was taken to the ICU waiting room while they got him settled in a room. Because he wasn't a critical care patient, more than two were allowed in his room. His Unit 3A RN, Paulo, was excellent. He cared for hubs and provided me with information and was positive and friendly. Yves, his NA, was also great. It was explained to me that morning that Del E. Webb specializes in gastrointestinal issues, while Banner Boswell specializes in cardiology, and to prepare for him to be transported sometime that day whenever a doctor and a bed became available. When ready, he was taken by ambulance to Boswell. This all happened smoothly and before bedtime that night. I had so many worries when arriving, choosing this hospital because it was closest to me, and not knowing about staffing since it was so close to Christmas and holidays. I feel like I made the right choice. This hospital gave hubs great care.

Completed disregard for my issues and made me feel like a burden. Never did get a room and left the ER feeling as bad if not worse than when I came in. I will NEVER visit this ER or hospital again.

Nobody would inform me as to what's going on and why it was taking so long for me to be seen. They just managed to say oh we're extremely busy in the back however I saw people come and go that came in after me. One lady you made a comment oh my God she's still here pointing at me. The PA was the most horrible vile person I have ever met in my life when I finally did get called back to a bed it was not for triage. I directly asked the PA to help me as I was in severe pain and I was sick. I was not hostile nor was I in any way shape or form threatening. The next thing I know I have a security guard standing at the foot of my bed saying that I was complained about by the PA. It was extremely annoying and very rude and unnecessary. The security guard left after I explained the situation to him. Next thing I know I'm being taken back out to the waiting room where I sat for two more hours over in pain and vomiting. I was the only one in the entire emergency room. I watched people leave that I had seen come in after me the excuse that they didn't have a bed was a complete lie. After hours of again, waiting in the emergency room, I was taken back to a bed and nothing was done for me except a blood draw. The PA would not come and talk to me and the nurse was nonexistent. I went for a CT scan where they found. I had a kidney stone and a kidney infection. These findings were dismissed by the PA as she barely spoke to me, walking by my room telling me that they would culture my urine for the kidney infection to see what bacteria it would grow. Meanwhile, I left in extreme pain was given a shot of Zofran for the nausea after 4 1/2 going on five hours now, then just discharged. Does anybody know of a good lawyer who handles men malpractice cases?
