I've infiltrated
Carolynne L.

Came to Abrazo Arrowhead for UTI, PCP told me I needed IV antibiotics. Checked in through ER and nurse there was very nice/ that's where it ended. Transferred upstairs to a room around 5pm. I kept asking when I would receive the antibiotics but always told 'I will check with pharmacy' . 10pm I finally insisted if I'm not getting IV antibiotics then I'm going home, suddenly the nurse 'found' my medication. Never saw a nurse beyond that. Followed by Dr Solomon Amdemarian and have never in my life been talked to so poorly. I filed complaint with hospital and medical board. IV infiltrated second day, I asked repeatedly to have it removed but was repeatedly told it was fine - it was not- see my pictures after it was removed and restarted in same arm !!

Waiting room
Drew P.

Went in for severe back pain to the point where I can't even walk or get out of bed. Waited in this room for three hours. For them to just give me meds. They did no tests at all. No x-rays, no imaging. And sent me on my way with meds. I would highly recommend that if you have any lower back pain or sciatic nerve pain do not come to this hospital.

This receptionist has to be the rudest person in the world. She was asking an old man lots of questions about why he was at the ER. The old man's feeding tube fell out but it does not want it back in . He believes the area in infected. She had the nerve to ask him why he was in the er!

I explained to them that unfortunately I was uninsured and unemployed, but I was wondering if they could provide treatment because I had severe pain all over my body after being in a 3 vehicle collision just an hour ago. The receptionist said yes, and they led us to the back. After they took my vitals, I was informed that I would need to pay a $600 deposit before leaving and I would be billed the rest. I explained that I didnt have $600, which is why I had explained my situation upon arrival. They told me I would be charged the $600 regardless of whether I stayed or not because they were already providing the service (taking my vitals), so that I might as well stay. I was made to feel like I had no choice to I started calling relatives to ask if I could possibly borrow the money. I was advised to leave and decline services, so I politely informed them I wanted to leave and they could bill me the $600 later but I didn't want to stay. On my way out I overheard the receptionist tell the nurse that she HAD told me about the $600 upfront cost, so I turned around and corrected her. I reminded her she, in fact, had not. Why would I accept a service I knew I couldn't afford ? She then snapped back and me and basically recanted her earlier claim to the nurse by saying, "We are not LEGALLY OBLIGATED to inform you of any costs, only to provide you care." I told her it wasn't fair to disclose to patients that there is an upfront cost until AFTER it's too late to deny the charge. They deliberately waited until they took my vitals to inform me of upfront cost. She insisted that she did nothing wrong as she was following the law, and I walked out. Please don't go to this location. Do not trust people like this with your health. Taking advantage of people needing this critical service is a disgrace. Beware

Wouldn't recommend this nasty place to anyone. I was waiting there for about 2 hours. They didn't…read morecare about the patients. I was about to die I was cold and fever I asked for a blanket from a nurse. She said ok and she never showed up with a blanket. I ended it up to leave the emergency room and I went to different locations. Please don't waste your time here

Many of the 1 ratings on this page pertain to billing, Emergency Room experiences, and feelings of mistreatment. Our family member, several weeks ago, felt the imaging staff had no respect for her fragile body and curved spine. They knew what they needed to do, they had a long, busy, full night. The patient was a technical task needing solving. Some years ago, a doctor gave me his opinion from, as he said, "The view from 30,000 feet. " The view here from 30,000 feet is "Medical City". I do not know how many thousands of people "live" in this city from Janitors to food prep, nursing, brain surgeons and administrators. It is a complex place dealing with every aspect of human bodies, birth to preservation, and who is going to pay for these services and how. January, 2026 we learned, at a physical therapy center, the insurer of our family member withdrew Medicare Advantage coverage from them December 31, 2025. We scrambled. Elderly, on Medicare, we fell back on standard Medicare, but paid out of pocket for awhile. My heart goes out to people crushed between low pay and less than stellar medical insurance, and the medical institutions treating them, no matter the circumstances. We do not know what this hospitalization will ultimately cost our family. Care of our family member has been deep and wide. I think of thecduffering of my ancestors from falls, infections and the many diseases I get vaxed for. It is miraculous age. I see medications delivered at millionths of grams keeping a body functioning and relatively oit of pain. I am amazed. I see the teams assembled to work these medical miracles and I am amazed.

The orders were just submitted which caused the confusion. My admission person was patient and helpful for setting it all up. Camryn was amazingly helpful. She was patient and kind in helping me with the admitting process. Props to all who supported my procedure and recovery: Zeny and Mary Lou on the Telemetry Observation team, Dr. Savio Reddymasu for the surgery and clear explanations, Julio from Transport, Dr. Bliss, Misty and Marina who stayed with me at recovery until they had a room open, Morgan and Pam at Recovery. My anesthesiologist, nurse James and Danielle in Prep. Paige was my admission nurse online. Brandon and Selina, my final nurse and Jenna, my oone discharge nurse , Dr. Chandra, my discharge Gastroenterologist....thank you for everyone for modeling kindness, compassion, inclusion and collaboration. I am doing well. If you need a gastroenterologist, I highly recommend Dr. Reddymasu who took the time at 10 pm to visit me. He was candid and kind as he briefed me on the procedure. I am looking forward to being discharged and get a bite to eat. Last night I was approved for liquid diet. Jello never tasted so good. I will miss the amazing Hemo-Force massages!
