Check-in was very friendly and I felt very welcome in their location. Awesome service by Dr. Hayes. The environment is bright and clean and open. They have their own optical shop where you can get glasses or you can leave with the prescription and get them where you choose. The checkout process was really good and I had a short enjoyable conversation with the person who checked me out. unfortunately, I did not catch her name. I had a pleasant experience here. I was there to get annual eye exam and contact lens fitting and Dr. Jones was very nice! Although It is only once a year, exams can take really long but at Abrams Eyecare I was in and out in an hour I believe. Waiting room was clean and staff was friendly. Dr Jones and his team were great. The optical staff is incompetent. After selecting a frame they were not fitted properly. After adding lenses the temples are too short. The female tech told me the curve does not have to curve over the ear. Kept lying with offer to just tighten. Said as long as they dont fall off the curve location is not important. And yes I did get a statement for an additional fee after paying $450 in advance. Will only go back for exam. read more

I am appalled at the nastiness and lack of customer service in your Optical department in your West office. I literally just walked out instead of spending hundreds of dollars on glasses. I walked in the office at 8:35am today. No one else was in the Optical part except 2 employees - a woman with a blonde bob and a woman with grey hair. They were talking to each other when I walked in. Once I walked in the office, the blonde and I made eye contact, and I said, "Hello!" Instead of greeting me, she turned her eyes back to her computer screen and didn't say a word. Neither woman then even acknowledged my presence. So I turned around and left. I'll take my business somewhere else. read more

Went to this office specifically because they had an ophthalmologist. I have had issues getting my eyes diagnosed correctly. The doctor was terrible. He changed my prescription to a much stronger prescription and didn't listen at all to my complaints. I picked up my new glasses and I couldn't see at all. They said just wait it will take a few days to get used to them. They made me nauseous they were so bad. Went back and had another exam. They changed my prescription again and once again they were wrong. I went back and they said pretty much we are sorry but we don't know what else to do take this antibiotic for a month and we will see if that works. I then went and paid out of pocket for a second opinion and wow imagine this I can see. I would not recommend this office. They do not have a clue and they are unfriendly and rude. read more

It's been awhile however Dr. Rothbaum was personable but the ladies that helped with ordering the glasses were not, especially since I wanted to use my own frames. I had my prescription filled elsewhere. read more

Dr. Jones is great, however the women working in the optical are not. They are rude and not helpful at all. When I went in I was not even greeted and they didn't seem interested in providing their best service. If you're just getting an exam then I recommend going but if you're actually getting glasses you're better off going somewhere else because the women in the optical are very unprofessional. read more

Crooks, after my apt. I paid my eye exam in full $115, after that they added other charges that they could not explain but somehow I owed to the total of an additional $120, they would not help at all just sent to collections. If you go here you and or your insurance will be gouged. You've been warned! read more

We've been patients at the West side office for years, unfortunately the service level has dropped so badly that we are searching for a new doctor. Love Dr. JJ Abrams he is wonderful and kind and a pleasure to work with. Sadly the women in the optical are like two high school girls that giggle and constantly give each other "inside joke" looks all the time apparently making fun of patients. Personal phone calls are made EVERY time I go in there in front of patients (you can listen to the conversation about her son or her lunch order) who have to wait for the call to be over to get assisted. They discuss what to order for lunch in detail in front of patients they are "helping" and are clearly not paying attention. Orders for glasses and contacts have been terribly mixed up in the past, and we have now waited over a month for my daughters glasses, no apology or "I'll keep an eye on it for you and call as soon as I know something" just "call back and check every few days". Every time I call I'm on hold AT LEAST 5 minutes and there is never an apology. They act like they are doing people a favor to talk to them not at all like they are there for the customer. What a shame, we love the Dr. but won't put up with unappreciative, immature employees. read more
