We couldn't be happier with our experience with Jose at Gazcon Marble & Tile. I initially contacted…read morehim through Yelp with a lot of questions about replacing our builder countertops and backsplash. He was patient, knowledgeable, and never made me feel rushed. He also recommended several slab yards he works with regularly, and we ended up finding the perfect Perla Santana quartzite at Bedrosian's in Modesto. Jose provided a straightforward flat-rate quote that included demolition, fabrication, countertop installation, and installation of our handmade Zellige tile backsplash. There were no surprises. Throughout the entire project, he kept us informed and was always available to answer questions. He even FaceTimed me during fabrication so I could choose the exact section of the slab for our island, which I really appreciated. From demolition to completion, the entire project took about a week, including fabrication. His crew was professional, respectful of our home, and their attention to detail really shows in the finished product. Our kitchen is absolutely beautiful and truly a dream come true. We are so grateful we found Jose and would recommend Gazcon Marble & Tile without hesitation.

This is the 3rd time I've hired Jose for a project in San Francisco. I initially didn't reach out…read moreto Gazcon Marble (Jose) because I didn't think he would do a job in the city. I cast out the job on Yelp and he came back as one of the companies to bid. I was extremely happy to see that he put his hat in the ring. Not only did I know how well he communicates and keeps his schedules, he came in competitive. There was a small 24x24 piece remnant left over from the slabs and he left it for me. I'll likely turn it into a side table. If you have a remodel that needs stone work, I would seriously give him consideration. Thank you Jose!

Eduardo remodeled my kitchen three years ago. I was nervous. I'd never hired a contractor…read morebefore, and I had heard horror stories. I need not have worried. He made the process painless. The entire project took 12 days. Some of the photos in his profile are of my kitchen. It is beautiful! He was prompt, cleaned up, had great attention to detail. Communication was smooth. I told him I'd let him know when it was time to update our bathroom. Fast forward to May 2026. I called Eduardo in May to arrange a remodel of my master bathroom. He provided me with a very reasonably priced contract and quoted 3-4 weeks for the project. I paid the deposit, and demolition began on schedule. The demolition is the only part of the project that went (mostly) according to plan. The good news: Six weeks into a 4-week project, we have a gorgeous tile floor. Eduardo sent a fantastic tile setter to finish the floor tiles (after his first tile setter had thoroughly mucked up the job.) Thr smart toilet is installed and works well. The bad news: two months into a 4-week project, we still have no shower. We have a tub and working vanities. The bathroom is usable only because I hired another contractor to seal the tile, install the tub with its faucet, and connect the sink faucets and drains. I gave up waiting for the crew to patch and paint where they had to cut into the wall and install outlets, and did that part myself because it was something I could do to make the whole thing better. I also installed and sealed the baseboards. We have had multiple delays and concerns about quality. While most concerns were addressed to my satisfaction, each one has caused a delay, and the job should have been done right the first time...not the THIRD time. The concern left unaddressed was when an improperly installed floor mounted tub filler fell over and flooded the bathroom. I reached out immediately and asked for a plumber to come ASAP (it was a Friday morning) and he said he would send someone "tomorrow". That was the point at which I began to contact other companies. Communication has been a challenge. Many times the worker who was schedule to come "today" just didn't show up. Texts to Eddie about this were often ignored for hours. I receive texts of "thanks for your patience" on a regular basis. Yesterday he promised to bring the shower glass and install it. At 10:30 I called to see when he was coming. He texted back that there was an accident and the glass had shattered. Several texts requesting an update on next steps have been ignored. The worst part (yes, it gets worse) is that he isn't paying his employees. One of them came to my house yesterday and asked what needed to be done. He said that he hadn't been paid for his work, allegedly because I haven't paid LuxTops. i have receipts showing that I have paid in full. I am now looking for someone to install the shower glass. I am working on a complaint to CSLB. I don't know what happened to cause such a radical change in work habits. Sadly, I cannot recommend LuxTops. I encourage you to look elsewhere.

Beware of Lux Tops! We hired Eddie to install a quartz…read morebacksplash in our kitchen and to frame our fireplace with quartz. He showed up on time to do the demo and that was about all he did. Lies and excuses followed for days after the demolition. He only showed up a couple of times for 2-3 hours. One day he was 8 hours late with nothing but excuses. He got very little done and it wasn't done right. Long story short, we had to start over with a reputable contractor to do the job. He walked away with $3,000 and we have very little to show for it. He ghosted me and has refused to refund any of the upfront money I regrettably gave him. This company is a scam. Stay away!
