I went to a different RV place because of a banging noise from the brakes. I told them that I had a feeling that the problem was related to the air brake springs. Next day I received a phone call from one of the managers telling me that there wasn't a problem with the brakes and that the noise came from the shocks. They wanted to charge me $1850 for new shocks. I wanted to get a second opinion and someone recommended Above and Beyond. It's a small place with limited parking space so they called me several times before the appointment to make sure that I would come. I dropped the RV off in the morning and a few hours later I received a call- it was ready for pick up. The problem was indeed related to the air brake springs and not to the shocks. They had to be lubricated since the RV was sitting for a long time. They charged me one hour labor to fix the problem and saved me a lot of money. read more

!!!STAY AWAY!!! I was a customer over a year ago and I am STILL dealing with the repercussions. I hired them to install a new AC unit in my Class B RV. I bought the unit they recommended and the extra warranty they recommended. I have been back in the repair shop FOUR TIMES because of their shotty installation. First, they voided my 1yr manufacturer warranty on the new unit because they GLUED over my serial number. THEY PICKED UP THE UNIT FROM HOME DEPOT AND INSTALLED IT IN MY RV. I NEVER SAW THE UNIT PRE-INSTALL. Not only did they not write it down prior to install, they GLUED over it, so it's lost completely. NO, serial numbers are not on receipts, purchase paperwork, Home Depot does not have them and neither does Toshiba. When I called Above and Beyond, in June, in PHOENIX (remember we're dealing with an AC unit) for help...telling them the unit wasn't working and I needed the serial number to call Toshiba...they actually said, "What would you like us to do about it?" When I pushed, she said, "Well we can probably see you in a week or so". Did I mention I'm a single woman, disable vet, living on the road full time by myself? With my dog! 110 outside with an animal is an emergency situation. Not, "well maybe in a week or so", especially because it's THEIR mistake! Next, I spend the summer and fall in Oregon. It rains a lot in Oregon. Every time it rains, and I move the RV, water falls down from under the AC unit and onto my bed. I actually taped up the AC vent for the winter since I wouldn't need to use the AC. Come spring/summer, it takes TWO different repair visits to fix the leak under the AC unit, BOTH due to awful way the new unit was installed. Not secured right, vented right, or sealed right. Over $500 to repair, not including hotel rooms for me and my dog. NOW, the AC stopped blowing cold air. Since I'm luckily out of the manufactures year warranty window and into the extended Home Depot warranty, I'm (THANK GOD) finally covered again. I'm in a RURAL mountain area. VERY FEW repair options. After many calls, I finally find someone that will look at the AC unit, and low and behold...they can't remove the AC unit. I call the last repair guy and ask why?? He says it's because of the original install. The solar panels, the roof panel, all has to be removed to work on or replace the unit. "Not the way I would've installed it". So ONCE AGAIN...my house is unlivable and I am facing HOURS of non-covered repair work and HUNDREDS of dollars in hotel fees because of this HORRIBLE REPAIR SHOP. Many of the other repair guys I ended up working with in PHX said they knew exactly who Above and Beyond was and they DONT have a good reputation. I'm actually looking at getting off the road and going back into a house because this as actually broken me. And I love my life on the road. Just can't handle all of the repairs all the time...and the majority center around THIS REPAIR JOB. STAY AWAY!!! read more

We have had two wonderful experiences with this shop. The first time was doing the walk through on our new used rig. Shawn took as much time as we needed to explain everything about the RV. It was easily two hours. Our second trip was for service on our RV - oil change for the rig and generator. Since we live about an hour away, we made an appointment a couple weeks in advance, dropped it off on Monday after regular hours and it was done Tues for less $$ than quoted. They stayed after to accommodate our late arrival. Once again Shawn took the time to explain everything he fixed and recommendations for next time. We are very happy and will be back. Fast, efficient service even though they are moving locations soon. read more

We placed our RV with Above and Beyond for several repairs, that necessitated us to go back several times before it could be fixed. They replaced our backup camera three times, each time we had to pay for it over again, the camera kept going out. We took it back 4 times to find out why it was drawing power, the said the batteries, we replaced them, still a draw on batteries, then they said, it was a unit in the refrigerator, we replace that part, again still drawing power and then they said it was a power converter, we replace it then, still we had the same problem. They finally said that the battery again needed to be replaced, we so we replaced it again. This last time we took it in for the camera replacement, they put a dent in the left rear panel, when we asked them about it, they denied doing it. They have a lot of RV's and park them close. We had no dent in that panel when we dropped it off. We part in a RV lot that we do not have to back out of or into, and there was no movement on the RV parked beside us. Their denying that they backed it into something, was the last straw! We've only had this RV 7 1/2 months and most of the time it has been in their shop for repeat fixes. I do not recommend their services! I have recently heard from other RV centers, that they get a lot of complaints about this business. We used them because, their parent company owns a sales lot. I will not be going back and have found a more reliable shop. Do your homework first before taking your RV in for repairs. read more

These folks are great! We took our 2000 Itasca Spirit 31T Class C to them with a generator problem and delamination issue on the front cap. They were very friendly, their pricing was very fair, and the repairs completed were excellent. They also did a comprehensive inspection of the RV and identified issues that should be addressed soon versus those that we should consider budgeting for in the future. This is a family run business, very personable and we look forward to using them in the future for any of our needs. read more

Above and Beyond RV Repair is a family owned business and full service RV repair shop. We brought our 2013 Newmar Mountainaire to them to upgrading to Lithium batteries. They are the only installer in the area that installs Lithium batteries. We explained other issues, one due to a water leak, and they were able to handle every problem without an issue. Jim and his son Shawn explained every fix and performed them flawlessly. They have a 50 amp hook-up, water, and sewer available and let us stay five extra days as we were awaiting shipment of our batteries. I would highly recommend their service and we plan to return for any future needs. Their pricing is well below their competition, but their customer service far exceeds expectations. read more

Well...if you are in a hurry for a repair, don't go here. If you expect to have all all your parts put back correctly...don't go here. 6 weeks to have a electrical & slide issue fixed. I figured while it was there, the toilet needed a new valve, a microwave removed and have the back up camera looked over. Might as well, it was there for 6 weeks. I finally needed the RV back and told him I was coming to get it. Unfortunately, Shawn did not place the camera cover back on correctly, or at all, when I got home, it was gone. Shawn didn't even secure it correctly. They are not even making amends to their error. I called another repair guy, came to my house and fixed the electrical issue in 2 hours that Above and Beyond was not able to in 6 weeks. They fixed my error in hooking up new batteries..that's about it. In order to get anything to work, I had to turn on the generator, including my wipers. I will NOT return or recommend this shop to anyone. The star was for the gal who checked me in and answered my question. Service, crappy. Shawn does not keep you updated with progress.
