We hired Eduardo and his team this week to move us from Oakland to Las Vegas. I want to be clear, I…read moream not going to dig on them. Everyone was super nice and fairly thoughtful. The guys that loaded me up and unleaded the stuff were all fantastic people. Eduardo and his wife are super sweet and great to talk to. But, that does not a business make. Eduardo needs a manager until he is ready. As a fledgling business I wanted to give him my business, because he is young, hope-filled, and very conscious of his customer's needs. Still there were so many problems. HOWEVER, he got most of my stuff where it was supposed to be in one piece. And that counts for a lot. - He is not insured. - I specifically said I wanted my stuff in an enclosed truck and it arrived piled (yes, piled like a clown car) on the back of his pickup. If it rained... there would have been no way. - 8:30 time to show up, got started somewhere around 11 and finished about 2pm putting us 4 hours behind schedule - Was supposed to be delivered the next morning, arrived midnight the next day. - All ... ALL of our lamp shades were missing. They were old and in great condition and classic for the beautiful maps we have... (sigh) - would not answer any of the 3 texts I sent him in the following days as he and his wife remained in Las Vegas. Only showed up 5 days later to get his moving blankets and only came when I was not home. I was rooting for him whole heartedly. I tipped well. I wanted him to shine. But, it was not great. Not bad. My partner talked and we kinda gave up ever seeing the stuff at one point. But, glad he came through in the end. But, still kinda bummed.

We moved a couple of years ago and had sort of an awful experience (review available) so I was a…read morelittle skittish about using a small, local company again but it just didn't make sense for me to hire someone from the city to come down to San Mateo to move us. So after a lot of back and forth, I finally decided to hire Alex. Alex and his colleagues were GREAT. Hard-working, good listeners, respectful of our house(s) and of our possessions, great attitudes, fast as lightening... Alex came with his power drill and confidently and rapidly dismounted any furniture that needed to be broken down and put it all back together with the same efficiency in the new house. Nothing got lost, nothing got broken. Everything was in its right place as opposed to in a pile in our garage as per our precedent move. Keep in mind that as a small company, they don't have insurance and it will be up to you to provide mattress bags and plastic wrap unless you specifically ask for these materials. Alex has moving blankets to wrap valuables, but anything else has to be purchased beforehand by the customer. The truck is also 12', smaller than the bigger moving companies. I highly recommend Alex and his team. I hope we never have to move again, but if we do, I'll call Alex and his power drill to come and help us and I am confident he'll bring his great attitude and his speed with him. If efficiency, professionalism and excellent customer service are important to you in choosing your next movers, do yourself a favor and call Alex.

I used PODs before and all my furniture and boxes arrived in good shape. That was not the case this time around. They were doing a good job initially but just didn't think it through as they filled the POD and I paid the price for not having a 2nd person watching them while I was busy. They also ran out of moving wrap (which they say they provide) and it became my problem since several of my lamp shades got dirty and dented from the move not to mention a few dented boxes. Unfortunately, at the end I was very disappointed with the low level of care and how the senior mover started taking calls and left the other mover working alone for a while. They had the nerve to charge me for 3 hours when it was barley 3 hours! If they had continued the way they started the job could have been completed in 2 or 2.5 hours at best!

Stripped and bent my dresser knobs on my dresser. Tony kept stringing me along like he was going to take care of the situation. In the end I only wanted $50. I moved in August and still waiting for a measly $50 that was promised. He kept saying Carlos was going to call me blah blah blah And guess who had to do all the follow up??!!! ME. I have NO clue how this guy received 4 stars. Probably had friends or family write reviews. I received No invoice and no refund. I had a 1 bedroom move that cost $740. I'd advise anyone to think twice. I just wish someone would have alerted and warned me. I was going to give this small business another chance by giving him 72 hours to make the Venmo deposit. Screw it this review will cost his business way more. The audacity of this guy is completely ridiculous. Zero accountability. I was very patient and kind until now. Use another moving company.
