Josh was our point of contact. His first visit was checking out the scope of the project. He assessed the project would take about a day and a half and we agreed to have him perform the job. The first day was pretty straightforward. I'd check in every so often to make sure things were going well. By the end of the project, Josh had gone through 2 1/2 cans of wasp killer. We should have taken care of that earlier, but family issues put it to the back burner. Thankfully, he made sure things were safe before beginning work near the roof. Early in the second day, Josh had finished up. He returned later to touch base with us and do a final walk around of his work. Everything looked great, and Josh was friendly and professional the entire job. We will definitely schedule these guys for future projects whenever possible.

Thanks Tony. Scratch these guys off your list. If they don't have the decency to even show up for an estimate- I can't imagine the nightmare you'd face if you actually decided to use these guys.

They also redid our fence and garbage-bin enclosure. The craftsmanship, attention to detail, and communication throughout the project were exceptional. The finished result exceeded our expectations -- this outdoor living space has truly been a blessing for our family. Rain or shine, there's not a day we don't use it. We've hosted countless family game nights and gatherings here, and I'm genuinely grateful for this space every single day. I don't usually write reviews, but I'm taking the time because of what happened recently -- more than four years after the project was completed. We noticed a small leak where the deck cover connects to the house, water was dripping from the soffit boards. Naturally, we were stressed about potential water damage and repairs, but when I reached out to Tim, he responded within minutes and sent his team the very next morning! They inspected the area, found a likely source, sealed it and performed the necessary repairs, then advised us to observe it again when the rain returns and call them if further repairs is needed. This experience speaks volumes about the company's integrity and dedication to their customers. Even years later, they stood behind their work without hesitation. It's rare these days to find honest, hardworking, and caring contractors like Tim and his crew. We are very satisfied customers and highly recommend Sky Mountain Contractors to anyone looking for quality craftsmanship and genuine professionalism. (Photos attached of our project!)

Tim's responsiveness throughout the project was amazing, which is rare to find these days. I am a perfectionist and expect the same of Contractors. I found only a few VERY MINOR issues along the way, but Tim and his excellent crew were right on it! Many months after the project had been finished, we requested a minor repair to our siding that was NOT even part of their work. They came up yesterday and fixed it for us! They went above and beyond! Also, we had a request for a unique fold-out shelf for feeding birds (which we make sure is never available to bears!). Tim designed something that works perfectly. During our project, the sub-contractors damaged the wall while installing our toilet by drilling through the wall and failing to hook up the toilet correctly so that water was pouring straight into our basement. The sub-contractor did pay for these damages. We had no supply chain issues with our project as we had purchased all the materials ourselves before hand. Our primary issues with working with J&M was that due to the amount of projects they had going on, it felt that unless we were actively saying we were unhappy with progress and calling J&M frequently, there would only be work at our home 1 or 2 days a week. When asking for estimates for components J&M were unable to provide accurate estimates. For example, it was estimated that tiling our shower would take 1 week with 2 people due to the complex design. It ended up taking 3 weeks. This is our only bathroom, so we lived with my parents for several weeks, but I would hesitate to recommend J&M to anyone who doesn't have a flexible timeline. In addition, J&M failed to notify of us of change orders that resulted in an increase of price. These were supposed to be agreed upon mutually before the work was completed, but instead J&M released them after the work was done and were forced to eat the cost. J&M did not provide any options to mitigate this cost even though this was in direct breach of our contract. Ultimately, we are reasonably happy with the final outcome of our bathroom, but extremely unhappy with path to get there. We ended up not asking for several fixes as we were so fed up with the inaccurate timelines and constantly changing estimates. Fixes include 1) bleeding paint on ceiling, 2) missed paint spot, 3) grout on window and tile, 4) miss-cut vanity counter-top, and 5) dip in floor tiling causing one spot to not drain. All in all, J&M has good general contractors, but seem extremely mismanaged in the back of office. If you do work with them, double check all billing multiple times as we found several inaccuracies. Hold J&M to prices and push back on change order process.

DO NOT WORK WITH THIS CONTRACTOR…read more I called this contractor to schedule a job to install patio pavers. He explained that he would not make an appointment over the phone. Instead, I had to go onto his website and schedule there. I went to the website and made an appointment. I was at the property 30 minutes prior to the schedule appointment time (window of 3pm to 4pm). I waited until about 3:15pm, still no word from the contractor. I went out front to see if maybe he had went too far down the block or something. No one in sight. I took a few minutes to run to the restroom. After the restroom, I noticed I missed the contractor's call by three minutes. I rang back expecting him to answer and explain that he was on his way or had arrived. Instead, it went to his voicemail. A few minutes later, I received a string of text messages from the contractor accusing me of missing the appointment, wasting his time, costing him gas money, and making him late for other appointments. Apparently, my stepping into the restroom for three minutes was out of the question. What kind of contactor works like this? I took time out of my day to meet this contractor as well. I guess my time as a client is not valuable to him in any way? He claims he waited for 20 minutes, but that is not at all true. I went outside searching for him and he had not arrived. Furthermore, why would he wait outside for 20 minutes and not attempt to call the contact number? When he finally did call, I only missed the call by three minutes. When I mentioned that I would be reviewing my experience, he only went on a further threatening tirade about he planned to comment back on my review about how much of his time I wasted. Ummm, you were not at the property when I checked at 3:15pm. I went to the restroom for a few minutes, I missed a call by three minutes, and then you refused to answer. If three minutes is unacceptable, it sounds as though you have some scheduling issues. Anyhow, DO NOT hire this contractor. He is terribly impatient, rude, and does not value your time as the hiring client.
