Devin will underbid to get the job and then ask for more money. Do not trust him. He does not stand by his word. After he did a couple jobs for me, I trusted him... and I got burned. Read my experience and decide for yourself.

Devin responded to a post I put on the Tallmadge Facebook group looking for someone to come remove two very large piles of tree limbs and branches. He responded, so I texted him and he said he could do it for 400. I asked if he wanted to see the piles in person because that seemed low. He came that night and requoted 1000 to remove the limbs and weed whack the tall grass around them. He told me when he was done I'd be able to run my mower over it. He wanted to do it over a course of days and I requested it all done in one day because I was leery. He agreed. He showed up later than he said, Saturday morning with 1 helper and 2 kids he came across in my neighborhood. They removed one trailer full of limbs so I gave him 500. At that time, he said he underestimated the job and asked for more money. I told him I was not able to pay more. He left and went and dumped those limbs off and the two kids left. One lost his phone in my yard which I don't think was recovered. Devin and one guy returned and cleaned up most of the sticks. When they left, I paid in full. I also went out and pulled sticks up that they missed in grass he didn't weed whack low enough - sticks that would've damaged my mower.
Before he left to take the second trailer I asked him to relocate a stump that I couldn't move. He did so and did not charge extra. While in that section of my yard, he said he could clear out a large portion of weeds, and dig up roots, for 600. I told him I didn't have the money at that time.
Fast forward to a couple weeks later. I texted him and asked him to clean out my gutters (175) and told him I wanted to move forward with the clearing. I was very clear about what needed done and he agreed. He came the next day and cleaned out the gutters and began cutting some down. He didn't have a brush cutter so he used mine - which I did not mind. He took a pile out in his truck (very small in comparison to what needed cleared) that day and I paid him 175 for the gutters, which he finished, and 300 towards the weeds. He promised to return.
At some point, he did return and helped me move drywall out to the curb - for 20, and cut about 1/3 of them down and hauled them out. He told me he was in a bind needing to take things to the dump and asked for 200. I was reluctant but he had followed through with everything else so I told him I trusted him and gave it to him.
He did leave his weedwhacker and a couple shovels at my house. There were multiple days he said he was coming back and never showed. I'd open my security gate for him to come in and come home to nothing changed. He never texted ahead of time that something came up, he just didn't show. I wasn't in a rush to have it completed so I was lenient. I finally told him I wasn't going to leave the gate open any longer when I went to work. He agreed to come work in the yard again on a Thursday. I worked from home that day and opened the gate for him. I heard his truck in my driveway, then it pulling out. He had me open the gate to get his weed whacker. He texted me about an hour later telling me he wasn't leaving me hanging but he couldn't do it that day - again. I basically texted him that I thought he was a bad person for lying to me to get his tools with no intention of finishing the job. He told me that I did not appreciate how hard the job was, told me he underbid, and that I got 500 worth of work out of him. He wasn't there 10 hours to equate to $50 an hour. He left piles of tall weeds and branches in my yard in a mess.
I'm sure he will have a different version of what happened and try to defend his actions. Listen to the other people who left questionable reviews - I DIDN'T, and gave him the benefit of the doubt. I have texts to back up my review. Devin and any company he's responsible for are not to be trusted. Just when you think you can trust him, he'll f you - and think he's in the right for doing it.
