This chiropractic office only exists to make money from its patients. No one ever told me they were not in network for my insurance and assured me that I won't be billed more then my deductible. 4 visits cost me over $300. They develop "care plans" that are impossible to maintain. The way they charge you for your care is absurd $45 for you stretching by yourself prior to seeing the chiropractor. $25 for "mechanical traction " really laying on a table while they charge another $25 for the stem machine. Walk in an watch the assembly line of care. Nothing is personalized or private. I have been getting chiropractic care for over ten years and I have never had such an impersonal experience. I went to them prior to Covid and I was happy with the services/therapy I received. However, the staff refuses to wear masks despite the state-wide mandate and the current, escalating health crisis due to Covid. This is universal across all their locations. When asked they say they are not required to wear masks - although if you call the Health Department, they actually are! As practitioners in the medical field they should be compliant with health and safety rules so this is unacceptable. Due to their lack of concern for patient health and safety, I will not be returning. It makes me wonder in what other ways they may be reckless in prioritizing their own preferences over client health. Arrogant and unprofessional. And sad. read more

I am unbelievably disappointed with this establishment's billing practices. They will see you for X amount weekly, but what they don't tell you is if you ever quit going, you will owe a large mysterious balance. Never was it mentioned to me that I was accumulating more and more debt with each visit, regardless of the fact that I was paying $50 each time I was there. They'll get you in the door, get you feeling comfortable, then let you accumulate huge balances that they then sell** to creditors who report the debt to the credit bureaus. It's utterly shameful, disgraceful and I honest to god don't know how these shysters sleep at night. **And yes, "Sell" -- it seems this whole process is intentional, getting patients to rack up these debts, because debt collectors will pay to "purchase" the delinquent accounts, so Ability is making $$$ whether you pay them or not. I also had the "out of network" experience. The woman behind the desk lied and said my insurance paid, and then slapped me with over $3000 in charges for over a span of 5 months. I paid for the xrays and single visit that I had and never returned KNOWING they were out of network. I then got spammed phone calls from the 6 doctors there while I was at work, and then someone emailed me to "take care of an unpaid balance" of near $200. I looked at my bill and saw these people charge you for EVERY BONE they adjust. I told the woman I was not returning and that I paid what I owed on my account (I only went once). She never emailed me again but I did receive a bill this week that I have to pay otherwise it will go to collections and kill my credit. These guyg already for thousands from my insurance and $300 from my pocket, yet this $194 just can't be forgotten. I have never paid more than $80 for a visit the full 25 years I have been going to a chiropractor. I moved and there is an Ability by my new house so I thought I would go and that was a mistake. Thankfully, I found a place in my network and I pay $55. read more

No one, and I mean no one wears a mask. They gave me some speech about how masks are optional and they don't believe them to be effective. The girl checking you in was even mask less, despite the sign that masks were mandatory. If these are medical professionals, I would expect them to follow science. If they are covid deniers, they should meet my father...actually that's impossible since he died from Covid. I felt incredibly uncomfortable the entire visit, and should've left immediately. I have been going to Ability for almost a month now and the 5 star reviews are right on the money for this business. After having my second child a year ago I dealt with constant neck and back pain, thankfully my neighbor referred me here. I have two kids under the age of 3, a full-time corporate career and a husband that is a commercial airline pilot - to say I have any free time to spend on myself is an understatement. I knew I needed help to get back on the right track and this office makes it incredibly easy to work chiropractic care into a busy schedule. Appointments(after the initial consultations) are 30 minutes in and out. I LOVE this! The sheer joy I have knowing that I can easily forecast how much time I will need to block off my calendar for an appt is everything. Also, they get mega bonus points for being rock stars with scheduling/rescheduling and being accommodating if you have to bring the kids along(which I have had to do a few times). I have seen all of the doctors at the Worthington location(Brian, Chris and Cody) and each of them is equally awesome. They truly care about each patient and this includes the front desk staff, Chelsea and Audrey. I am FINALLY starting to feel semi normal again. Moral of the story, you cannot go wrong here. I am so disappointed. I went here about 4 years ago and have since referred others here. Today, I walked in and no one I saw had a mask on. I have a son that is immunocompromised and take a chance on Covid each time I am in public. There were unmasked receptionist who were not social distanced. Even though there was a sign on the door requiring everyone to wear masks in the lobby. A client walked in without one and this was never enforced. No masks are required in the treatment area either. When I mentioned no one was mask and my distress over this, there was not even an attempt to explain a reason why individuals did not mask or to help me feel safer. Receptionist said ,"okay". I ended up leaving and was fortunate to get into a different provider who took my insurance. Due to past good experiences I was willing to pay out of pocket. I just started seeing Dr. Brian and Dr. Chris within the past few weeks. I had severe back pain and did not know where to turn. Luckily my brother-in-law referred me to Ability. They did a full examination to pinpoint the injuries I have been suffering from, a very informative consultation including charts and visuals that made it extremely easy for me to understand. They went over payment plans after looking into my insurance program to assure me I would receive the best possible care with an affordable payment plan. I honestly have never seen any other doctor that made me feel so cared about, they really do have your best interest in mind and really go out of their way to make sure you know that. The secretary advised me that I would need to arrive 15 minutes prior to my appointment time to fill out new client paperwork . I did so but then had to wait 15 minutes after my appointment time because of other appointments? Punctuality is important to me and I didn't get one apology for my wait . I got about 5 minutes of personal time . And they do everything out in the open so you get no privacy . My appointment lasted no more than 30 minutes total and I was on my way . They wanted me to come back the following week . I scheduled it for 3 or 4 weeks out instead . The reason I tried them out was because of the 5 stars they had on Yelp & close in location . A truly great experience with any Dr starts at the front desk, Chelsea has always been super friendly and got me right in to see them on the day after my accident. On my first visit they took the time to explain Chiropratic Care to me in details and language that made sense to me, they have always taken the time to answer any question I have had. I threw my back out while visiting Columbus, OH. I stumbled upon these guys on Yelp and was really glad I did. They were very upfront with what they could offer with treatment (I was only in town for a few days). They took ex-rays and explained what they thought is the best way to move forward with treatment. They also provided me with stretches & and an exercise program. The touch screen check in process is very fresh and the front desk workers are very welcoming. Love the open tables and common space. If you need to speak in private, they have a few rooms for that. They welcome you with or without insurance. And the price was shockingly low. I went back the next day for a check-up and alignment. I left having learned a lot about how to keep in better shape AND they found a chiropractor near my place in San Jose. Boom. I'm all set up for a speedy recovery! read more

This review is long overdue, I starting going to Ability Chiropractic last year when I woke up with a very stiff neck and a lot of pain. I actually found Ability through a groupon deal and had saved it for moments like that. After getting an x-ray it was scary to see how bad my neck and back were so out of alignment, specifically my neck. Not from the stiffness but literally my neck was situated obviously too far forward causing a lot of strain on the back on my neck all of the time and showing signs of damage. We started therapy immediately twice a week and after a while down to once a week. We're seeing progress, I'm feeling and sleeping better too. I can't recommend these guys enough. Everyone is fun to talk to and very informational on what they're doing and why they do it and because of my work schedule I am constantly having to bump my appointments either by a few hours or a few days and they are more than accommodating. On a few occasions I would call in because I was on that end of town and they'll squeeze me in without a problem. I actually look forward to my weekly visit (if my schedule allows it) and I'm in and out within 30 to 40 minutes. They have it figured out, this is how chiropractic therapy should be. read more

These guys force you to do certain exercises that combined take 15 minutes. One of them I would consider completely unsanitary as you force your chin on a round plastic tube hundreds of others have used and never gets wiped. They also purchased some neck blocks that they insist you use for 7 minutes. First of, these blocks cost $23 retail and anyone can buy them to use at home. The most frustrating part is that I expressed on several occasions that I don't want to use the neck block and they just won't hear it. Long story short - Visit them! You won't regret it! I started going to Ability Chiropractic just before my wedding due to lower back and hip pain. The pain was so bad that I wasn't sure I'd be able to stand my whole wedding day or take the four hour flight for our honeymoon. I am so glad I found Dr. Brian and Dr. Chris! After my first adjustment and therapeutic massage I felt immediately better, and after a few sessions I felt like a whole new person! Both Dr. Brian and Dr. Chris are very friendly, effective and communicative. They explain everything from start to finish for me, and do so in a way I can understand without feeling it's 'dumbed down'. Each week I feel genuinely welcomed into their practice, and am able to chat with them about my health as well as weekend plans. I look forward to my appointments with them because it has always been a pleasant experience, and I feel better after each and every visit. I didn't realize how much pain/discomfort I was in until they helped me get rid of it. Especially if you are new to the chiropractor game, Ability Chiropractic is a great place to start your journey! The front end staff are spectacular; they are not only what you need, but also what you want in a service provider. Both are friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming, but are also proactive and customer-centric which I cannot emphasize enough. They know my appointment schedule by heart, call me to let me know when appointments are being renewed without action on my part, and flawlessly reschedule me when necessary because they know my preferences and general work schedule. Part of my treatment also includes massage therapy, and the massage therapists I've worked with are another wonderful aspect of the Ability team! They are truly skilled and deliver a better, more effective massage than I've gotten at high end spas in the area. The ladies I've worked with contribute to a relaxing atmosphere, are easy to chat with, and incredibly professional. Each week they help undo the damage of working at a computer 40+ hours per week, and my body hasn't felt this good and cohesive in a long while! Over 40? Need Functional Neurology (which their website says they provide)? Want to buy the Brooklyn Bridge? We were told the charges would be covered by Medicare - until we arrived and spent over an hour listening to the so-called doctor try to aim us towards getting a standard chiropractic adjustment. No, we didn't come this far to get something like that - we came here for Functional Neurology. What do you provide? Not much information - until we got to the zinger: pay them over $900 for supplements to reduce our presumed inflammation and follow a diet of eating meat which will somehow improve the traumatic brain injury that brought us here - then after three months, come back and if we're lucky, he'll provide us with an appointment whose price he won't reveal - it could be $200 or maybe $600. We might need five appointments per week. The number of weeks couldn't be calculated. It would depend on whether or not we made progress. (Which he didn't seem to have faith would happen. So where is all that love love love they list on their website???) And he doesn't know where we got the idea Medicare would cover, but it doesn't. When we told him his office person was informed that Functional Neurology was what we wanted and needed, nothing else, he nodded but then wanted us to pay him $180 for an appointment that was basically a 90 minute sales pitch on us spending more money, out of pocket. He appeared intimidated by me, and I thought I was really nice. Except when he told me he was really helping us out by him taking time to talk to us this way, and we had driven to Worthington from the other side of the state. Even then, I wasn't mean, I just let him know I was not happy. No one there was over 40, no one appeared to be disabled. They were all healthy, happy young people. The so-called doctor wore shoes which, I'm guessing, cost upwards of $300. The only other time I've seen shoes like that was during a visit to a very expensive surgeon. read more

I realize this place has good reviews, but I was not at all impressed. One Dr. there is nice and the other is not so nice. I was hoping to have the nicer Dr. but kept getting the other one and it was highly frustrating. It is weird to not have any privacy and be out in the open with other people staring at you. It seemed that regardless of what the complaint was, the Dr. would do the same exact procedure on everyone. That can't be right. If I had a neck complaint, he would do the same song and dance as someone that had a lower-back complaint. I noticed this and thought it was strange. I found it unnerving to have to have adjustments done while other people stared at me, but that's the nature of this open environment. Just not my cup of tea. read more

Two years ago I was having constant back pain and episodes where I'd wake up and not be able to walk due to lower back injuries from the military in the past. I had surgery and saw pain management which would give me immediate relief. However, the pain and episodes would always come back. I was recommended ability from my fiancé and at first I was skeptical as a medical professional I didn't believe in holistic medicine. My perception was changed shorty after I started attending appointments. The support staff was professional and streamlined the whole process so that it was easy to get started. They rotate doctors from visit to visit and they ALL are exceptional in their craft and the entire staff is passionate about teaching patients about chiropractic care.
