Our experience was okay- not bad but we weren't wowed by any means. The location was nice and cute going for a quaint spa vibe. There's some light snacks, water, coffee, and tea. It wasn't brought to our attention that there were showers, sandals, or additional post service accouterment like razors, combs, lotion, hair ties, dry shampoo, etc. It would have been nice to know ahead of time so we could come prepared. We were told about the robes available to use so that was nice. I've never had a maternity massage so I can't compare it but it was nice. Took a little trial and error to get comfortable. They offer a bolster to allow you to lie on your stomach. I think perhaps it's better suited for someone not so far along, or just with different anatomy. The hole for my stomach did not feel deep enough and I felt pressure on my belly which was uncomfortable. My masseuse was gracious to work with me to get comfortable on my side and had a bolster to lie on my back as well. The "scalp treatment" was pretty basic and left much to be desired. I think they put peppermint oil on their fingers and then push your hair around your head. It absolutely was not worth the time or price we paid. I kept my opinions to myself as I tend to be a tougher critic than my husband but as we left he mentioned his thoughts on the "scalp treatment"- his words were I could have done without that- the hair dresser does a better job- I agree. We usually go to Panacea Spa but they were booked so a friend suggested Woodhouse Spa. It's really difficult to compare the two as Panacea is a true luxury experience albeit with a price tag to match. With our scalp add ons we paid almost the same as we would have at Panacea and by no means was it a paralleled experience. We might consider trying a basic massage service again but certainly not our first pick here in Columbus. Not bad just not amazing.

Me and a group of friends constantly rotate through and we have gotten to know the staff there and have really enjoyed seeing them grow into a thriving business. Everything is very clean and professional. The massage therapists are wonderful. They really take your time and are incredibly talented. Each therapist has their own pros and cons. I will say one thing is that many of them don't speak English very well. A lot of them are Chinese but they do understand quite a lot and are able to accommodate your requests. They have foot massages too, which I have tried and very much liked, but my go-to is either a 60 or 90-minute massage depending on their availability. I would definitely call ahead to make a reservation since they do get busy especially on the weekends but they often are able to accommodate us as walk-ins even a few hours before. They are also one of the cheapest massages I've ever gotten. I found them off of a Groupon but I now pay full price in order to support them and their small business. Truly check this place out. It has really changed my life and how my back feels on a daily basis.

I felt VIOLATED and ASSAULTED…read more I specifically asked to not have a male masseur. During our couples massage the female masseuse had to switch to my husband for cupping. I said I was okay with not getting massaged during this time, but they wouldn't take no for an answer. So when he gets to me he requests I lay on my back & did not put a towel or anything over my face. The room is fully lit. The sheet covering me is extremely thin and white, so I'm sure you can see my chest. He hikes up the sheet to the very top of my legs. (Sure, I know this is normal. Just feeling a little uncomfortable with the sheet & fully lit room.) Then he proceeds to lift my knees up and over so far that my ass was off the table. I'm sure you can see it from where he is standing. Then he SLAPPED the TOP of my hamstrings multiple times in this position. What the fuck was that? I felt VIOLATED and ASSAULTED. Clearly that's doing nothing for my muscles. Honestly I don't think he knows anything about massage therapy, the whole time he was touching me felt like he was just making things up. He didn't even do the same thing to both legs?? Except the inappropriate slapping, of course. I wouldn't be surprised if there were hidden cameras or some weird shit like that. Felt super sketch about the place. I am embarrassed and haunted by the experience. I fucking HATE THAT YOU DID THIS TO ME.
