I haven't had chiropractic care for a while now. Last time I did, insurance paid for all of it -…read moreeven some massage. Now, I didn't even check as I'm trying not to max out my deductible and OOP spending this year - as I've done too many years in the past. Which is why I avoided going the traditional route - through my GP for an xray, PT and finally an MRI. I looked for a Groupon like I've used in the past. I just didn't find anything like what I was looking for - a diagnostic xray, consult and adjustment. Instead, looking on Yelp I found this Joint Connection offering - near my house which is important. I understood the concept - membership for ongoing treatment. I read the reviews which were mostly very good and also checked out the pricing. I made an appointment for the $29 visit as my back hurt so bad, I had to do SOMETHING. I was losing sleep with the pain and my exercise routine was suffering. I walked in and saw greeted right away. I filled out a questionnaire about my medical history and current issues. While doing so, others came in, checked in and were quickly seen and adjusted by the doc. When it was my turn, the doc asked me some questions and quickly had me on the table. I was familiar with the adjustments he did and while I was afraid it would really hurt and aggravate my pain, it wasn't bad and I did feel a little relief afterwards. Mostly importantly, I found out the cause of my pain had been a change in sleep positions about 6 months ago. That coincided with the timing the pain started and the location of where it was. The doc suggested a sleep position which I really appreciated. I spoke to the scheduler after seeing the doc and she talked through the options moving forward. They were consistent with what I'd seen on line. I was hesitant to sign up right there and then given the 2 month minimum membership term. However, I quickly did the math and knew that it was cheaper to invest this money that start again with my GP. The doc added 2 visits for the 1st month so I could come twice a week for the first 2 weeks. I had started on a Friday - so I returned the following week on Monday and Thursday. I'll do that again next week. The only think I would change - I like the one doc I saw one of the visits better than the other. I have to figure out their schedules so I can come when the preferred doc is doing the adjustments. So far, I'm still having pain and haven't been able to sleep in the suggested position. However, I've mostly avoided the position that caused the problem. Most days I feel better - unfortunately, today was not one of those days. I have found that an ice pack on my back (which I had not been doing) really helps. Highly recommend you give this a try. It kinds of reminds me of Urban Acupuncture - which makes non-traditional treatment affordable for the regular person.

Defenetly not my favorite location. I used to go here until the switched Drs. I don't feel like…read morethey are focused on their clients it's all about a membership.

Believe it or not, I have been in 3 rear-end collisions (1 severe, 2 minor) in the last 5 years…read more Yes, you heard me, 3! So, I'm an expert in getting 'repaired'! Before going to one of my favorite healers around town, I went to a quack who shall remain nameless of a chiropractor in the North side of Columbus who really did my injury a disservice. Instead of making me better, he really made me worse. But, DR. HESS, fixed me up right away!!! I went to him after the quack and 3 weeks later, I was back to my almost normal self. Dr. Hess uses intuition, common sense knowledge, his hands of titanium, and a fantastic 'Dr. House' sense of humor to get you better. On top of that, he doesn't rely too heavily on the latest trends and doesn't expect you to be a 'regular' but hopes that you are. Quite literally, I am his best patient. Ask him! In 2004, 2008, and 2009 I had to go to him extensively for back, shoulder, neck, and wrist discomfort. He adjusts with finesse and uses decompression or traction therapy and sometimes light therapy to get the job done. He also recommends specific exercises and really rides you if you aren't compliant. He wants the best for you and isn't sad to see 'released' after therapy because he knows you will be back ( no pun intended). I highly recommend Dr. Hess for accident, injury or maintenance therapy. His adjustments are like drugs...you keep coming back for them because you feel amazing after them!

Absolutely Awesome!…read more Dr. Hess is amazing! Although I was not a regular patient he was willing to do an emergency office visit (on an OSU game day no less!). He genuinely cares. I will be switching to Dr. Hess for regular treatments. So, I guess that is this is the highest recommendation possible.

My review is based solely on my experience with a massage here. I did not experience chiropractic…read moreservice here. I had a fantastic experience here overall. When I came in, I was greeted, I felt welcomed, and in my conversation about my back with the massage therapist out front, the chiropractor came out and talked to me as well. My wife had bought me a gift of Groupon for a massage here recently and it was very easy (online) to schedule an appointment. Due to previous experience with Groupon, I expected to wait months for an appointment. I had an email from the massage therapist and felt welcomed even before I walked through the door. I have hardly any experience getting a massage so I was not sure what to expect. I appreciated the fact that Sarah (my massage therapist) asked me questions to find out where my pain was and tailored my massage experience to my answers. It was just the right amount of pressure because she asked me near the beginning if that's what worked for me. I was there for a 50 minute massage and although I did not fall asleep, it was very relaxing. I felt like taking a nap when she told me our time was done and I could take my time getting up. I could see going back and I don't think it'll be another 7 years before I have another massage. So relaxing, and with this experience, so worth the price.

On my long and arduous journey of recovery, I've suffered from various conditions including IBSD, spinal issues, slipped discs, neuropathies and fibromyalgia. His adjustments and nutritional advice are definitely helping me feel better and within a few weeks I already feel more hopeful. More than anything else, the reason I would recommend Dr.Luke is not just because he's a really great doctor, but out of the maybe close to a 100 doctors I've seen in my 28 years, I've never met a doctor more personable or caring than he. I cannot emphasize enough how important that is to a person dealing with chronic pain and/or disability. So, if you want a doctor that is skilled, compassionate and really listens, he's your best bet. I actually look forward to my appointments. Going to the doctor's doesn't seem like a stressful, miserable experience. I always leave feeling both physically and emotionally better! I've also had massages with Sarah and Becky. Both of them are very professional, amicable and do a great job. The rooms are immaculate. The whole staff is super friendly and it really feels like you're a part of a family there. It's affordable and even the massage packages and prices are some of the best I've found anywhere so I definitely recommend!

A full 5 stars for Progressive Health & Rehab! Dr. Tony (chiro), Dr. Glenn (chiro and neurology),…read moreDr. Drew (PT), Mario (PT therapist), and all the rest of the staff are top notch. Very competent, skilled, knowledgeable, committed, helpful, friendly, and results oriented. You could't ask for better. Through their care I have gotten my life back. No exaggeration. I have a long standing spinal condition called spondylolisthesis--one of my lower vertebrae (L5) is pushed forward pressing on nerves and causing a great deal of pain. The one just above it (L4) is fractured. About a year ago for some unknown reason, the pain got much worse. I could hardly move without pain or even get out of my chair. I could barely walk. I had seen an orthopedic surgeon at OSU a decade before. He had only offered surgery as a solution and wasn't optimistic about the outcome. After doing a lot of searching and comparing of chiropractors in the Columbus area, I settled on Progressive. Dr. Glenn and Dr. Tony took x-rays, examined me, and set out a course of treatment. Dr. Glenn gave me his "Attila The Hun" lecture about what I could and could not do physically in the future so I didn't mess up all their hard work. (I guess I'm not immortal after all. ;-) ) A month of three adjustments a week and the pain was greatly reduced. Another two months twice a week and I was feeling good most of the time. Since then (nine months), I've been sticking to the twice a week adjustments. I can screw things up a little by, say, doing too much yard work. Another adjustment will bring my back into comfortable allignment again. I highly recommend Progressive Health & Rehab to anyone who has an orthopedic problem which might be helped by chiropractic care. Their fees are quite reasonable and they take lots of insurance. If you have spondylo like I do, definitely give them a try before you let anyone cut your back open.
