My family and I had an amazing dinner at Aberdeen Barn. We did not have a reservation on a Friday night (October) but our family of 3 was able to be seated right away! The waiter Harris James was top notch! He was kind, funny and attentive. They have a wide variety of dinner choices for everyone! We started with the bacon wrapped scallops which were very tasty, this lead to a next course of house salad. Our main course was prime rib(Wife) and Strip steak (me) both were cooked perfectly! My daughter enjoyed her chicken dish as well! Unfortunately, we did not save room for dessert . Maybe next time. The atmosphere was neat and casual and the prices fair. Delicious food and wonderful service! I had the Delmonico steak and my husband had the shrimp with scallops. Three generations of family and the Aberdeen hit it out of the ballpark for all three. First our waitress was spot on, very nice and catered to the two boys. This was a much needed good meal after the horrible one we had the night before (at the Seafare across the street). We decided to give this place a try after reading some of the rave reviews. Fortunately they were, for the most part, correct on all counts. I'll just skip ahead to the prime rib. It was gigantic (our very gracious server Sterling mentioned it was 14 oz so I gave the thick cut a try, it seemed closer to 18oz to 20oz instead). It was tender. It was flavorful. The au jus was great. The fresh horseradish was a perfect pairing. In short, this was a darn good steak and is a must-get for anyone looking to dine here and is into steaks. I was absolutely stuffed by this enormous cut, so unless you have the stomach for something huge, I'd suggest you order the regular cut. The potato wedges were good too, but I was truly too stuffed to enjoy most of that. The Mahi Mahi here was also quite good. So was the roast chicken and rice pilaf. I also give kudos to the French onion soup as well, which had a really tasty broth and a perfectly baked layer of cheese. From a food perspective, this place is on the ball 100%. You can't go wrong eating here if you're looking for a decent meal. The service was also excellent on all counts. Sterling was great and they really do a great job here in general of taking care of their customers. I saw the same attentiveness across all the other tables I observed near us, including a very large party as well. Even though this place has a really old school vibe to it, it is a generally cozy and relaxing place to enjoy a great meal. read more

More expensive cuts compared to "top sirloin" but are worth the extra money! Barn cheese and crackers were a great way to start. We were in town for a work function and wanted a nice dinner out. Aberdeen Barn didn't disappoint! The decor is dated, yes, but that adds to the charm of the establishment. It was decorated for Christmas and was so beautiful! Every item we ordered was delish! From the oysters, to the bacon wrapped shrimp and scallops, to our entrees ... mine was the Mahi Mahi with mashed potatoes. So yummy!! Our server, Harris, was so sweet!
