Evan is extremely inflexible. He made the process a nightmare for us because we did not have…read moreadditional backup funds that he insisted on that were not closing costs or otherwise required by law or banking regulations. I sold off some stock to cover these costs, and when I had a hard time getting the recent sale transaction receipts, he stalled the entire process until I did, even though, as I said, the additional funds he insisted on were neither closing costs disclosed in the disclosure statement or required. They were simply funds he wanted to see us have. In fact, there were refunds on the closing costs because we had more than enough. On the day of the mail-away closing, we were rushed to get to work, they slipped in an agreement to allow them to re-verify all our information after closing, including our bank information, salary information, everything. We had no way to ask questions, show it to our attorney, nothing. Then, after the loan closed, we were told we would have to have a "post closing" audit of our employment and salary by our employers just a few months after our employment information was submitted to them and verified. I have never seen this before, anywhere.

Submitted all paperwork to a bank he knew would not approve our loan. Then after several months of reassuring us we would be ok and be able to close, he lets us know that the bank did not accept our paperwork and he had another bank that he knew would take us for sure- why wouldn't he have started there!? Rude and full if excuses all the time. Calling at every hour of the night (9pm, midnight)- extremely unprofessional. Don't waste your time, look for a different lender.
