I was coming up for renewal with Bristol West one of their providers. I was informed if I wanted to…read moresave money I would have to look to external provider Geico or Progressive. I did exactly what I was told, I started my coverage with Progressive on the 10/26/2023 as I was instructed. Turns out my coverage with Bristol West was set to expire on the 10/21/2023. Per poor advice from Dean @ HSBR insurance, Bristol West charged me until 10/27/2023. When I confronted Dean about this, I 3 way called Bristol West. Both the representative and Dean didn't seem to want to talk to each other or want to take care of this error. After disconnecting from the agent at Bristol West, Dean advised me to just pay the $114 that I owed. I said this is not my problem, "you" are my insurance agent and "you" are responsible for giving me proper information and guidance. After that conversation and being told by Dean that he was talking with his own contact at Bristol West, I assumed this would get taken care of. I received a phone call from a collection agency for the $114 that I was forced to pay this morning. You tell me why I as a consumer trying to pay money would expect to end service with one provider and start service with another would want to pay my policy in full and still want to pay another company for 7 extra days of service that I never authorized under false advisement?

My wife and I looked…read moretowards Kevin after finding our Homeowners insurance rates being raised year after year.2 (People's Trust) I submitted a request on Dave Ramsey's website (debt is dumb, cash is king) and Kevin Mosenthin got back to me fairly quickly. Basically "yeah we can get you a better rate, no problem, hey you need car insurance? term life?" I was thinking just the homeowner's for now, we'll see what you can do. The rate he found was much better than what we were paying. But that's the last of the good news. Soon after we were inspected by the new company and then subsequently cancelled. Reasons? Roof was possibly older, and two screen doors had cosmetic issues. We repaired the doors immediately. Kevin's reaction to a return call? Pretty clueless (thought we wanted to finalize auto coverage which fortunately we didn't switch to based on current experience) and he postured that if we got under contract with a roofer soon we could keep the insurance. We got under contract. Just FYI some insurance companies will simply drive by your house and deem your roof non insurable. Called HSBR en route to getting the contract for roofing signed, and got the helpful receptionist (only star in this review) which said Kevin was "in a meeting till the end of the day" OK, he's gone, fine. She asked if there's anything she could help with. I explained the situation and she put me on hold to talk to other agents.......consensus was "no, the insurance does not want to cover you." Great! Thanks Kevin! Per our conversations with Kevin we were led to believe that if we had a contract we would be insurable. Please do yourself a favor and avoid HSBR at all costs. I'd be much happier knowing I was overpaying for insurance and covered than just being essentially tossed aside by Kevin and HSBR. I contacted him as he was/is a Dave Ramsey endorsed local provider. ELP's "have the heart of a teacher" NO interaction with Kevin has ever led me to believe he has "the heart of a teacher". His commissions are near and dear to his heart. Stay far, far away. I don't ever leave bad reviews. I see good things to a fault. HSBR is to be avoided at all costs. Believe me, I wish I still had my overpriced homeowners insurance.

Oh, I instantly got three 1/8 better on my loan. I'm in sales too. I try to make it easy. Tell me, how do you screw that up? I'm out. If you're getting a loan of course you want the best rate.
