Evan is extremely inflexible. He made the process a nightmare for us because we did not have…read moreadditional backup funds that he insisted on that were not closing costs or otherwise required by law or banking regulations. I sold off some stock to cover these costs, and when I had a hard time getting the recent sale transaction receipts, he stalled the entire process until I did, even though, as I said, the additional funds he insisted on were neither closing costs disclosed in the disclosure statement or required. They were simply funds he wanted to see us have. In fact, there were refunds on the closing costs because we had more than enough. On the day of the mail-away closing, we were rushed to get to work, they slipped in an agreement to allow them to re-verify all our information after closing, including our bank information, salary information, everything. We had no way to ask questions, show it to our attorney, nothing. Then, after the loan closed, we were told we would have to have a "post closing" audit of our employment and salary by our employers just a few months after our employment information was submitted to them and verified. I have never seen this before, anywhere.

Crystal assisted with my closing paperwork and explained each form and answered any inquiries I had. I received an email along with a text notification confirming my closing was complete. HomePartners Title dropped us less than 48 hours before closing! The day the title company dropped us, the listing agent, Lynn Telling at Illustrated Properties, did not answer her phone for over 5 hours for us (the buyers) and the seller! Our realtor went to the one of the companies' offices and was stopped at the door! No one would help him with the transaction. When we called Home Partners Title Services, they said Fidelity National Title would not insure the title and that was why they dropped us. We called Fidelity National Title and Leo the underwriter said there was no reason the title could not be insured!! When I tried to follow up with the president of HomePartners Title Services, Rose M. Sheehan, Esq. she conveniently was sick that day. I left a voicemail and she never followed up. We ended getting the Glassman Legal Group in Weston, FL to close us in less than 24 hours! According to Glassman himself, the title is "clean as a whistle" and there is no legal reason that it cannot be insured. We ended up finding out from the seller that Lynn kept telling him NOT to take our offer because she had a cash offer coming from a friend! She wanted this deal to fall through. This whole mess involved not only a realtor, but a whole brokerage, and a title company! What they did to us was illegal and unethical. I hope I can prevent someone else from experiencing such chaos!

He did this even though he had 2 more weeks to go before a response was required. If Ryan Brown provides a pre-approval I would not trust he will honor it.
