This place is clutch when it comes to easy access for last minute snacks and eats during late nights. They offer array of items like snacks and grocery items and souvenirs. They also offer hot food items in a warmer such as musubi and cool items like sushi and bento in the cooler aisle. The cooler and hot warmer foods look good but I think they are fresh when you get there in the mornings - The warmer gets replenish when needed. Staff here are nice. They are helpful to guests and when needing directions or tips around waikiki. This shop was nearby the airbnb location like 1-2 mins walk. So they offer ABC rewards where you save your receipt and you get free item(s) for spending and saving the receipt, So they open I think about 630am ? and close at 10 or 11pm I think. Now some items here are pricey. You are better off buying at the swap meet or airport for some items. They sell Hawaii Sanrio items here that are only exclusive to ABC stores. The musubi here are about $2ish and its ok tasting but it fills you up. The bottled water on the pic was pretty cheap I think that huge bottle was $1.99 on sale! The cans of Hawaiian sun are $5ish for a 6 can you can mix it up if you want. That was a special price for the Hawaiian sun. This location is across Mcdonalds and by the bus and trolley stops. So yes this is easy access to numerous things. What was pricey was the large bag of Hawaiian chips (maui onion) which was about $8! So ABC stores offer Holo Holo bus passes - its unlimited for 1 day of bus fare. This is ideal if you are using the bus all day. To be honest Trolley and Bus - The bus may take awhile to get picked up from the stops but its AC inside .. The trolley is good but its a trolley no AC and its limited stops. Trolley takes you to lots of tourists traps where the Bus doe not take you to. ABC stores is a ideal last minute place to grab souvenirs but I think the swap meet and airport is way cheaper. For a quick and easy dinner, we went here and got our food. One good thing when u come here later, the food is discounted sometimes. I got spam musubi with eggs, spicy ahi tuna bowl and mango tapioca. The food was warm except the tapioca which is cold but they are all very good and just right and not too expensive. Make sure ask the cashier for utensils and they do not provide bag or you can buy one from them, so make sure to bring one if you are buying for the whole family. read more

The super corner store... Not quite the bougiest shop but this shop has a long superette history as I used to work in the Discovery Bay right across the street. Love to see that it's still here after the long covid craziness but being surrounded by not just hotels but condos as well many did flock over here as the nearest supermarket was Ala Moana Center and knew the owners of this shop before ABC bought it and took over. Not more for the visitors rather than the superette it was known for you're still able to find many shelf stable grocery items and some grab and go hot and cold items but remains more the typical ABC Store. The vibe here is more like souvenir shopping zone but still see many folks come here for various items as there's zero parking and is all foot traffic there is always something that you need and probably will find it here. ABCs are the corner markets here everywhere. They are the staple like our drugstores in Cali but smaller by far. They have beach towels and any beach stuff you need, macadamia nuts, kona coffee, bentos, sandos, drinks etc. Prices are fairly high, esp on soda compared to CA. $3.99 a 2 liter or 6 pack soda $6.49 ( 7/22). But they are super convienient to get quick eats/drinks, needs or beach gear. They open until 11pm which is really helpful too. read more

This was the closest ABC store to the condo we stayed at on our vacation, hence the multiple visits here. Store is clean and employees are very helpful. They had everything you can think of which you may have forgotten to bring with you on your vacation. Plus, food, snacks and drinks. Of course, several souvenirs that you can buy for yourself or family. We couldn't get tickets for Hanauwa Bay, so we bought some snorkel gear and went snorkeling at Sharks Cove. We were so happy to find our sizes to buy and enjoyed our day snorkeling. What I did like was seeing a security guard at the store, which gave me a sense of protection while I shopped. I felt so comfortable in this ABC Superette location because they had the best security on site, just in case. They've infested Waikiki, yes, but I don't hear any complaints of a far walk from hotels! 95% of the time I'm always greeted when entering, and always thanked when leaving. We were staying at The Modern Waikiki, and this location is conveniently located diagonally across the street. It's a good sized locale with easy and safe access. I explained that we were crossing the street when the doors closed and that we only need the Tums because there is nothing else around that is open. This ABC is like a mini grocery store combined with a souvenir shop and a liquor store all in one. It is right at the corner of Ala Moana & Hobron - I tell you this, because if you have been to Hawaii you know that in the touristy sections of town there are ABCs every 50 feet! Prices are what you would expect in Waikiki. They are high, but not outrageous. Love ABC stores-they are the king of convenience stores in the islands. This one is a superette and is larger with more products. The store has tons of fun things to look at-brightly colored Hawaiian shirts, leis, chocolate covered Mac nuts (Yum!). But they also have the essentials like water, other drinks, snacks and a very large adult beverage section-especially for the size of store. We were surprised that they had Meiomi wine-one that we liked. Then later, we ran in there to get that wine to take to a friend's get together. Everyone working there has been so nice & friendly. I was totally loving this store when I was in Oahu this week. Conveniently located on Ala Moana Boulevard. It is a superstore. They have so many grocery products. All reasonably price. Like a little mini grocery store. However they did not have our favorite salad dressing. Which is a Hawaiian made Papaya dressing . But, you can find just about everything else you might need in a pinch. I did get the papaya dressing at Foodland ,which is just down the street a little bit. This ABC store has everything you would expect to find at other ABC's. But, even more. Always remember, save your receipts at ABC's you can get gifts for every hundred dollars you purchase and more . The staff here was fantastically helpful. I needed some Lilykoi candy. They went to the stock and opened some boxes and got me six out. Exactly what I needed. Love this store quick and convenient. Stock Up This location was very conveniently located near the beach and our hotel. When on vacation I always love to turn my hotel room into a functioning bar. Doesn't everyone do that? If no, then why aren't you. You're on vacation and it's time to relax and mix up some cocktails. The store is larger then most ABC locations and stocks more items. It also has a ton of souvenirs if you plan on bringing stuff back for people. I did have to laugh at the Obama key chains. There was one of him playing a ukulele. Does he even play an instrument? I did buy myself a souvenir. There was this great bamboo cutting board shaped like a surf board that I totally needed for my bar in Chicago. There seems to be a theme in this review around adult beverages. I must still be in vacation mode. Not only are there souvenirs for your friends but this location contains packaged food and fresh fruits and vegetables. You can grab some snacks just in case for the room or beach. Let's not forget the wine, beer & spirits section. Yeah I grabbed stuff from all 3 adult beverage sections. I needed to be prepared for fun in the sun. I thought that the prices were not that bad for being on an island. I did see something really unusual. They have an air compressor behind the side counter and they will blow up the inflatable rafts for sale. How cool is that? I have never ever seen a store do that on any tropical island. I must say ABC does it right or at least this location does. So if you find yourself in an ABC store in Honolulu then pop in and stock up on drinks, snacks & souvenirs. Have pretty much all the staples you will need during your stay. The only thing i was surprised to see was they didnt have any slippers for kids. Not only limited to this location, i went to several in the area. Finally went to Longs to grab some. Out of a whole wall of slippers, you would think maybe one or two options in case? I think ABC stores have the most stores out of any other stores in Hawaii. I think they can even beat out McDonalds or Zippys for having the most stores. Well, it seems like it is because they are everywhere in Waikiki, in every corner and even in Ala Moana Center. This is the tourist destination and hot spot for convenience stores. Most of the items here I think is kinda over priced such as food, drinks, etc. But what can you say, it's Waikiki and it's meant for Tourists and stuff. Some things, however, are pretty cheap. There was this one time where I needed lighters for a dance project to use as props. They had some Ed Hardy lighters here at a decent price like 2 bucks per lighter. The lighters could even light up. For the dance project, we ended up using the lighters as actually lighters and not with the flame on. The locations is conveniently located on Ala Moana Blvd. right at the intersection of McDonald's and some restaurants. The staff and customer service is aight. I'd rather walk here than drive. This superette is aptly named, only relative to the many other stores in this chain in Waikiki. It's got a decent alcohol selection & a little more foods than them but so much touristy/gas station convenience "foods"! If you want real groceries & selection, walk a block to the Food Pantry. read more
