Great little store. Staff was friendly every time. A busy little location but they seem to have the most choices of the many other ABC's that are in the area including a great choice of poke!!! They have a lot of good choices on liquors, beers (6 pack or single can), mixers, wine and so on. Super convenient location right next to Embassy Suites Waikiki Beach Walk. Super selection for household goods like suntan lotion, medicine, first aid, and toiletries. Prices are reasonable considering the touristy area. I was in the store at least once a day for drinks, medicine, scotch, poke, snacks, etc. Tip- keep in mind, Honolulu is very plastic shy so no bags (fabric) are given at that time of purchase, unless over $100, so bring your own bag or buy theirs for as little as 50 cents. read more

Famous for their ubiquitous presence in tourist areas, they focus on convenience, serving as a "mom & pop" chain that expanded to "All Blocks Covered." Coming fresh from the airport, we needed to grab water for the room and maybe a Spam musubi to snack on. This ABC Store was located right outside the lobby of the hotel we were at. What a great spot for all things you might need. Water, food, and even souvenirs. They even carry two Hawaii-exclusive Hi-Chew flavors of lilikoi and pineapple. I might even want to say that they're exclusively sold at ABC Stores but don't quote me. Want the tanned Sanrio characters? Get them here! They carry shirts, chocolates, umbrellas, and alcohol. Honestly They don't really rip you off here, it that much. The most pricy things are clothing, chocolates etc. some other items like certain keychains are still decently priced. I'm sure if you stop by a Walmart or target it's cheaper, but that's why these ABC store are at every corner for your convenience. This is not for the ABC store itself, but at this specific location they have basically a cafeteria in the back! We've had a lot of crummy meals here in Hawaii but everything at this location stands out! The Loco Moko is amazing and you can get it with pulled pork or basically a grilled hamburger. We got both it was delicious their vinegar salt wings are delicious, and their potato salad is amazing! My husband really liked the basil chicken. Also the fried pork was outstanding! And you get big servings and it's not expensive. They have specials every day. This is your actual hidden gem in Waikiki. read more

I recently purchased $450 worth of gift cards here, and the person who helped me was absolutely amazing. Each card had to be loaded with $10 individually, and she was incredibly patient through the entire process. I know how time-consuming and potentially frustrating that can be, especially with other guests needing assistance, but she never showed any sign of frustration. Not only was she kind and professional, but she also went above and beyond by giving me tiny little bags for each gift card, complimentary, so I could give them out as gifts. I was genuinely impressed by the level of care and attention she gave me. I also want to give a shout-out to the security guard, he's always so kind and welcoming. Every time I walk by, he greets me with so much aloha. The people here are truly friendly, and the customer service makes me want to keep coming back. This place is also a great space for dining in at Denny's right afterwards or even just to walk around all of the shopping places nearby. It's a great spot to spend all day in. read more

All ABC stores are pretty much the same. They are the mechanism for the state monopoly on liquor sales. This store is larger than average. It doesn't seem to have a larger selection of alcohol but instead carries more hats, shirts, trinkets, etc. Staff is courteous and runs checkout payments efficiently but are less effective in assisting customers in finding specific products. read more

I love everything about ABC Stores. This location is fantastic, as they have a wide range of anything and everything that you can think of. Even if you think you don't need it, they have it. The freshly made food items are a hit. Plus, they have every type of snack, drinks, souvenirs, and more to make your stay more enjoyable. The staff is super nice and very helpful too. LOVE this ABC Store!! It is conveniently located on the first floor of Imperial Hawai'i Resort. Just walk out the front entrance of the hotel, and this ABC Store is right there! My parents are timeshare owners at Imperial, so we've benefitted from this ABC Store for many years. This particular location is especially better than the others because they have a DELI with extensive food choices at the back of the store. They have sandwiches, and daily rice specials, like prime Rib Loco Moco, Teriyaki, and Fried Chicken. They have fresh fruit, and most everything you might need to cook in your kitchenette upstairs. They even have Dole soft serve and Spicy Ahi Inari Bombs. Yay! They just need Portuguese Sausage and fresh garlic to make garlic fried rice upstairs. Save your receipts. I really like this ABC store! This one is located in the lobby of the Imperial Hotel on Lewers St. It's HUGE! I think it maybe bigger than the one in Ala Moana Shopping Center. Definitely this one has much more food choices and a grocery section. Besides all the usual tourist stuff, you can get things you may need like electronics, personal items, etc. What impressed me was the deli/food section at the back of the store. There was a hot station where you can get meat plates and other entrees. On certain days prime rib plate is offered. I think it was $16 for 1 slice and bit more for 2. FYI, the hot section closed at 6pm. I kind of wish they would stay open later because this was dinner hour. A lot of people were asking for the hot items. Tons of salads, sandwiches, poke bowls, bentos, sashimi ($30!), somen, pho, ramen .... Gosh, it was hard to choose. There even different kinds of poke -$25/lb I haven't even started on the beverage section. Quite a one stop place- this ain't your usual ABC store. read more

ABC Stores - Honolulu always has something for anyone while shopping there. These stores are literally at every corner and strip while walking the island. Each store is different, and some stores might carry items others might not have, but in the majority, they all have the same stuff and maybe more. The stores carry all convenient style products, and they also have a wide range of souvenirs to pick from for a decent price. They have a lot of macadamia nut chocolates and other hawaiian candy's like li hing Powder and snacks. The alcohol section is nicely arranged with all the hard liquors in the front while beers and wines are in the fridges. They also have cold and hot pre paired foods to choose from, like tuna sanwhiches, rice balls, and spam musubi. Pro tip! Save all your receipts, and once your combined receipts reach $100 dollars, bring them into the cashier to redeem a brand new calendar or a grocery reusable bag. ABC is an awesome store to shop at for your everyday needs. Customer service was always great and was always properly greeted when I entered. read more

We accidentally stumble into this amazing ABC store. Huge store with hot foods in back up the stairs. I saw a long line of people ordering their dinner. There is pizza, salad and daily special rice plates. I ordered prime rib loco moco with egg and rice. Prime rib was tender and juicy. Gravy was sweet and savory. Egg was perfectly sunny side up. Cheap, quick and yummy meal $15. Perfect beach foods. There is also fruits, malasadas and pineapple dole whips. Save your receipts, $100 spend you get a free tote, mug or calendar. I am reviewing the Island Deli inside ABC Store #38. You enter the store and head straight into the back...that is where the deli is located... you can pay there. There was Prime Rib on Tuesdays. I was wondering how bad can Deli Prime Rib be? We ordered prime rib loco moco... 2 eggs any way you want over a slice of prime rib (about a third of an inch thick) on top of a mound of rice than smothered in brown gravy. The prime rib was a bit on the medium side, but it was tender and juicy. I am presently surprise. The cost is only $14.99. Really good value for the money. We also ordered the pork adobo plate. Slight vinegarly sauce. Tender and fatty pork chunks with potato. Totally a yummy dish. You are give a choice of white rice or mashed potato.... i suggest the rice...to sop up the yummy sauce. It came with a side of macadamia nut pesto pasta salad... this is a winner all by itself. I also ordered 2 fried chicken thighs. PLEASE avoid this like the plague. Really dry. The crust is a bit salty and over cooked. A definite no value. read more

Review for ABC Store #38 in Honolulu This store is an absolute scam. I went in to buy an iPhone charger, and the clueless staff sold me a charging cord for $25. It came in a package, so I assumed it included the plug--because what use is just a cord without the actual charger? When I got home and realized they sold me an overpriced, useless cord, I went back to return it, only to be met with the worst customer service imaginable. They refused to take it back because the package was opened (how else would I have figured out it was useless?). Then, both the salesperson and the so-called manager had the nerve to insist that a cord is a charger. Are you kidding me? Either they're completely incompetent or outright trying to scam customers. This store is a disgrace--overpriced junk, dishonest sales practices, and rude staff who have no idea what they're talking about. Save yourself the headache and stay far, far away from this place. This is the biggest and best ABC Store in the Waikiki area, and it has what you need - beer, souvenirs, snacks, sunscreen, floaties, cold/hot food, t-shirts, dashboard hula dolls, calendars, etc. They literally have everything (except for the time when I needed Krazy Glue and they were out, lol). The liquor/spirit section is excellent, and I saw that they have some high-end Scotch/American whiskey for those that like the good stuff. The Island Deli at the back of the store has a good menu with decent prices. Be prepared to get your food to go as they only have 2 tiny tables. The breakfast menu is good and they have steak/eggs, hash/eggs, longganisa/eggs, and even ube pancakes. Keep an eye out for their daily specials. They also have a Dole whip machine next to the coffee station. My only knock on the Deli is that they close too early and some of the employees are surly, lol. read more

ABC stores to the rescue: cheap $5.99 wine, Dole Whip $3.99 for a 5 oz cup (without the wait), hot deli and made-to-order food for a variety of prices. I say rescue because after spending $750 at BLT Steakhouse the night before we were in shock. We didn't want to go out, not ever again, in Waikiki, but we needed to get drunk, and badly, for cheap, so ABC saved us and our sanity and our moods from crying to being happy, all within 24 hours. I was also deliriously happy because I found my Island Girl nail polish. I thought ABC stopped selling them because the Ala Moana store didn't have it last time I shopped there. The price for the nail polish is also great, it hasn't changed since 2009 when I found them in the ABC Las Vegas Strip store, and I can't tell you how much it means to save a few bucks, especially right now after our wallet caught on fire last night and disintegrated into ashes. I never thought an ABC store would be a perfect five, but I found it here right next to the Imperial Hotel. Most ABC stores are glorified 7-Eleven stores, but this is way more. Fresh spam musubi and lux foods can be found at the rear of the store, and for those traveling on a budget, hot foods are served at a grill, with all the appliances needed to provide gourmet fast food. So beyond the trinkets normally found at these types of stores, I've found the ABC Store Unicorn on the island of Oahu!! read more

This ABC Store is bussin! Their poke bowls are surprisingly awesome... Way better than those of you that go to Foodland. Definitely way better than Poke Bar which is also on Lewers but their poke is crap and the prices are way more. They also have this Banana Paradise Pancakes which is freakin legit! Pretty much everything here is delish and the prices are very reasonable for Waikiki. Do yourself a favor and grab your meals here instead of Dennys next door which has the worst customer service for breakfast. What better than 7-11? Well, on Oahu, this is probably the best spot to find those on-demand things that you either forgot, crave, and just want. This is one of two ABC Stores that I almost always visit when in town given that it's just around the corner from the hotel that I normally stay. They are definitely geared for tourists, after all, are there any ABC Stores outside of Waikiki (besides Vegas, other islands, Guam, and Saipan)?! You can guess who the target audience is. Here's a brief chronology of my purchase history with them: '70's - beachmats, sodas and drinks, gift t-shirts, and sun tan lotion '80's - beachmats, sodas and drinks (alcohol and non), sun tan lotion '90's - beachmats, sodas and drinks, chips and nuts, gift items for mainland friends and relatives, and sun screen '00's - sodas and drinks, snacks (health and not), and gift items for family and friends 10's - sodas and drinks, water, healthy snacks, and gift items for the family and friends I think you get the picture. They carry incidentals like toothpaste, shavers, shampoo, etc. that you may forgot to pack. The nice perk of this location is that they have a deli section with hot food in case your flight is delayed and all hotel food options are closed. Some working locals stop here also to get a bite or drinks or those 'honey, we need this' things that spouses may request before their shift ends.
